Palace owners have totally ruined a chance of big money for him. If he leaves next season he will go for a fraction of the £60M that Newcastle have offered.
He'll still go for £35M and if we achieve what we want this season then the increase in position, merit payments and additional competition . Will have been well worth keeping him and may well mean he resigns anyway.

Marc is just a humble guy. He has respect and he’ll always respect the contract that he’s under. If he signs a new contract with superstar wages he deserves it. If he goes this summer or next for the money he’s worth then he’s earned it.
He’s a top human and Newcastle or any bigger team will be lucky to have him. For the time being he’s committed to Palace
Honestly, if he's not interested in leaving, then Newcastle shouldn't want him. Why try to coerce a player to join if he's content with staying on a mid table team? The lack of ambition would mean he's not meant for the richest club in the history of world football.
