My Grandfather and his two brothers fought in the battle for Ypres, I never knew him as he died before I was born, something I deeply regret, but he did come home, his brothers did not. It is unimaginable how awful it must have been for the men involved and I can only be awed at stories like this. Nice on, thank you.

My mother side of the family lost 3 brothers in 2 days during the First world war, 1 killed on the Somme and then 2 together around Ypres.
