This could be true if he was doing it our of self respect but he's just mentally broken. So much so that he takes every fault there is. He's not against being close to them because he doesn't want to get hurt, he's not close to them because he believes it is impossible for him to be ever loved in any form, whether it's from friends or family or romantically
the way i see it is that with 1 exception the things that happened weren't supposed to happen but it still did. he should forgive but not forget eventually. But there should be no sympathy with the childhood friend and she should never be forgiven. she knew what she did. she chose someone else and rejected him and regretted it later. people like that don't learn if you forgive them.

Now, I hate people who doing this, but she was disappointed with he never confess to her so she wanted to make him jealous by accepting some random guy she didn't even know confessing to her. Nah, Eminence in Shadow is essentially a guy with "Chunibyo" but he's right about everything.
This is more of a "I _am_ the gloomy side character and shouldn't get involved with anyone because I'm not worth anything" while being not only the main character, but also the center of a harem.

From the start, I thought the MC was being over dramatic then as it progress, it became clearer and clearer, especially the part with the sister.
He is over dramatic I get it they all hurt him in some way but they’re all remorseful for what they did and I’ve been apologizing to him and trying to make things better and he ignores them and acts like an asshole while holding a grudge. His mom was a single parent working to put a roof over his head his sister, which was just as young as him made a mistake hurt him, like they look like they are a year or two apart she wouldn’t have known any better. With the girls at school fine he doesn’t need to forgive them but his family come on

Yeah, if you read or watch a recap it sounds like Spidey is constantly getting shit on, but that isn't necessarily how it's presented in the original material. He's a hero that takes down criminals, but he also has normal personal issues with work, relationships, sick relatives, etc.

This author nails is pretty good, the desire to gently remove any ties you have left, to not inconvenience them while doing so, with the goal being to have none left to mourn you. Only then is the inconveniencing reduced enough to act

Its all tragic and cruel to him, however the worst thing to happen to him was his sister's betrayal.
The mc was just a guy unlucky guy with girls got traumatized and scarred for life by he's big sister and the 2 girls and yet the girls were trying to "fix" him but absolutely made it worse. I don't really get the mc motives if he really want to just have a peacefull life then just get rid of everything. Get a job and find an apartment. And leave the girls or just fully ignore them. But it was a good manga until the last part with he's sister. I'm hoping to see character development on this like the mc priorizing he's own happiness and self over others and instead of the girls fixing him. It should be him fixing himself and finding purpose in life without any girls or any interference. And learn to cope with rejection and betrayal and learn to trust again.

Shame to say it, but i can kinda can relate to the dud in someway. There is the time when i feels like all i did is just wrong, having same negative though all the time eventhough everybody said its all okay and its not like they treated me bad anyway, it just stuff unfortunately happen and cannot grasp any idea i keep feeling in negative way. Till i realize it just normal and word bond and action to always be misunderstanding and it did took very long time to realize that.
So i will said, the idea he is not going back normal immediately is make senses, specially with the unfortunate accident along with the misunderstanding of the situation. Can't blame him for always have negative of the doubt all the time. So Trauma are indeed perfect word to it.
this main dude is too relatable except the weird stuff with the sister lol. it's understandable when so many people hurt you and you cant feel love anymore. it takes so long to heal and sometimes it feels like not even the wounds will scar... some days it feels like we're bleeding and we become so cold that it's hard to see when people geniunely like us
There is a couple more chapters in the manga but they are pretty meh this story is generic but not the worst. It really reminds me of another manga where a dude is surrounded by 4 hot chicks but is a trash dude and can’t understand stuff.

Also, I'm a sucker for characters getting wrecked by guilt *(I know, messed up),* so seeing the girls torment themselves for their past stupidity, as well as CONSTANTLY getting shot down everytime they try to apologize or explain themselves feels very entertaining.
