I definitely agree with your sentiments about the denim longer skirt, it would tend to chop you up a bit, I don’t like that length either, good decision!!

Been a Talbots shopper since the 80’s ….because I had to wear professional clothes to work and I’m petite they had great suits and dresses….i shop on line because I know my size and length … now that I’m retired I love their casual clothes and the jeans are awesome ….i’m a classic girl, follow the trends but pick and choose only a few pieces to look up to date …..Talbots always pulls me back to classic clothing …..I like the fact that they aren’t a black, gray and white store …love the colors they offer …I’m now 4’10” (shrunk a inch) so sometimes the length is a little longer so I sewed for 30 plus years and I hem some of my items but most of the time the length is perfect. Love your videos Michelle I look forward to all your posts and LTK posts too.

Talbots. It is one of the few stores in my area that has Petite sizing. It is great to purchase clothing without having to go to the tailor before wearing it.

Great video! Talbots has been my go-to for many years, and still is for the most part. Sadly, I feel that the level of service has gone down, but perhaps that’s just my local Talbots. PS: I agree about the denim skirt. It doesn’t define your cute shape like the other outfits😊

I shop at Talbots all the time. I’m 4’10” and so even petites are often long on me. I just got in the cardigan and shell you were wearing in the aqua houndstooth and Ivory. Petites were sold out on line but I got the xs and it fit perfectly ( except sleeves are always too long). I’m glad I found your channel!

I LOVE Talbot's. Their petite jeans & pants fit better than any other‼️My problem, I have to drive hours to my near Talbot's. I like to try on due to balance.
I understand. Sometimes on the items I’m not sure about sizing on, I’ll order 2 sizes & return the one that didn’t work.

I have always been a fan of Talbots for a couple of reasons. I can actually buy things off the rack as they carry petites. The clothes are made with a nice quality fabric and are priced well. They have great sales so you can actually get some very good bargains. I can find shoes that fit (I wear a small size 5). Talbots is my go to for pants. Love their jeans but if you are working and need good dress pants they are a great buy too. Like you, I’m 5’0’ (we’ll just under), but I can get petite pants that I don’t have to hem! T-shirts and their cashmere sweaters are a great buy. Dresses do not fit me as well and I tend to look dowdy in them (I’m a lot older than you so I don’t want to look like a grandma). Thanks for sharing and I love that yellow sweater set on you!

The clothes that you selected from Talbots to keep looked great on you.. I agree the denim skirt did not look good on you. Everything was very pretty
I think Talbots quality has changed from what I am used to. Some of the sizes I am have ordered for years on end, suddenly do not fit with the same great consistency I am used to. Did Talbots sell to another entity? I heard they were having financial difficulties. Something is off lately that I find disappointing!

The one thing about Talbots I don’t enjoy is that my local shop doesn’t carry petites any longer! You can only order online. I prefer to try things on! Thanks for sharing your finds. I too am 5 ft. 0 inches and weigh 91 pounds. But at my age, the weight shifts a wee bit more to the middle 😅

I went there the other day. Some of their stuff is pretty pricey. I bought a white denim jacket in petite. I still have to have the sleeves tailored. But it was a good deal.

What is the difference between misses sizes and petite I wonder?
Petite has a shorter rise and length for pants & jeans. Petite dresses and tops have a shorter torso & sleeve length. The actually size isn’t different, for instance there are plus petite sizes.
Your office looks very nice. Do a few things for short women with large bust!!
