Totally agree! The new pricing scheme is crazy. But it's part of Porsche's new strategy to increase earnings to Ferrari levels.

It's of personal prospective what you decide.
On my routes there are not enough IONITY chargers, but Porsche stores!
So I have to change.
But if you have IONITY in your backyard or route, then hold on the old one as long as possible! It's for the win!
I charge mostly on daytime between 6 am and 5 pm weekdays and Saturday only in the morning. So it fits to me.
But I think that for most of the people it's not a good choice to change to the new one! 👍

I actually use the Tesla chargers the most and they charge 53p or 58p peak periods - no subscription or per minute charge. What planet are Porsche on?

Great video. Totally agree pointless to upgrade but ridiculous Porsche are doing this given the depreciation levels on Taycan

I will be different for each owner and depend on how they charge their Taycan. Perhaps Porsche are trying to make money out of existing owners as they can't sell existing stock of cars ? The bad range of the older car vs the new Taycan and the heater and battery issues are putting people like me off buying one. Porsche were greedy over pricing the Taycan especially when they used Panamera parts to save money and cheaper on board chargers than Audi used. Shame on you Porsche.
Now that you have experienced an EV, which other models would you consider going for after this taycan?
I really want to see all the new 2 door / 2 seat cars coming down the pipeline!
I have owned an EV for 5 years which has been hugely enjoyable, but if one does not have either an employer who pays or home charging, EV ownership is not for you. Buy a Hybrid instead. Just did a calculation all at 60 mile round trip. EV home charge £1.80 @ 2:5m per kW @ 7.5 kW Plug in Hybrid @ 30 miles full electric and 30 miles petrol @ 60mpg £4:28. Self generating Hybrid @ 60mpg £6.75 and public EV CHARGING @ 70p kW £16.80 . Petrol car @ 30mpg £13.50 no hanging about. Diesel @ 50mpg £8.10. At an average of 6,000 miles a year multiply by 100 and it is easy to compare especially home charging to public charging saves £1,500 year😂
Public charging is one of most over inflated prices we currently have to pay!
