Thank you making this. I've been agonizing for almost a month about whether I should cut my mini-vacation short by a night so I can come home to catch them in upstate NY. Your video just made the decision for me! You all look like you were having a blast!!
With all honesty...I was thinking at first "why did I buy tickets to a tribute band???" but I swear....you forget its a tribute band. They remake Alive 2007 and just make it soooo much fun. A night I will NEVER forget. Before you start ripping on them and what they do...try it. SOOOO WORTH IT! I will go 100 times if I could!
For all those who say its fake, it's not. Daft Punk has 3 or 4 official "Tributes" that perform in their behalf. These all go through training/approval with the official Daft Punk. The ones in the video are the best of all 3-4 tributes and they are called "One more time". These guys were the ones who went to the Grammy Awards.
My one criticism would be that they dance too much in the booth. The real Daft Punk mostly just bob their heads with the beat, it's not a lot, but it still shows they're really into it. In my opinion, that's part of what creates the whole robot characters, not sticking their hands up in the air, not actually dancing, etc. just being really reserved, quite stark and, well, robotic.
How is it even legal for this ripoff to take place??? How embarrassing for not only the group performing but most embarrassing for the promoter. What's next fake DJ Icey, Fake Rabbit in the Moon, Fake Crystal Method???? Why not just have a full on fake rave with all of the acts performing being the fake version, that would be super original......... This is Wack to the maximum especially when there are so many Amazing acts that play original material and want to play live but don't have the opportunity due to garbage like this being booked in their place....WTF????

dude, chill, Daft Punk is NEVER going to tour in the US, If Daft Punk didn't like this they'd probably say something,
for some people, Daft Punk is such a thing, so they decided to make a tribute, not a copy its a tribute, cause they love Daft Punk, just that.
