- This is crazy! The Chinese Government reach out to me about a TH-cam video I made and some people have taken this story completely out of context from a random email from CGTN. Does China and the government support intellectual property and copyright laws? Well in my recent experience the answer is a resounding yes.

A very interesting explanation. I was a bit worried at first, after reading the title 'Chinese Government tried to hire me-etc', until I heard the truth. Regarding pollution, if China stopped all their factory production for Western countries making money from selling their products-all those countries would have to start burning more coal and producing more pollution themselves.
I was disgusted when UK offcom banned CGTN last year, as I enjoyed watching their travelogues and it just goes to show their hypocrosy in pretending they are the bastions of free speech. N.B. Those guys producing the 'Smoking Gun' could be being paid by USA to make up fake news about China and their Western supporters. Good luck to you, the Barrets, Jason, Fermube etc, Hope I can travel again to China next year.
China is the most populous country and the factory of the world.
China is not really the largest polluter. We should look at per capita pollution to be fair
China is the biggest polluter right now because of Its largest economy. But US is the biggest total polluter because US has been the largest economy since WW1 until recently. And the West pollutes more per capita.

1. historically and cumulatively the West has seven times more emissions than China. The west must take responsibility for the damage they made while getting rich!
2. Per capita Canada, Australia the US . have double emissions of China... right now 35other countries also have higher emissions than China
2. Collectively, the developed countries right now have lesser population than China but greater CO2 emissions than China
3. China produces 30% of worlds goods so the rest of the world should be responsible for emissions too...Stop consuming so much stuff!!!
4. Per capita China is six times poorer than the US but invests 3 times more in renewables than the US and is the world leader in solar and wind

I would like to believe that you didn't proceed with the payment for some independence. But one email screenshot, which can be easily manufactured, means nothing.
Once those emails of you, a CCP defender, accepting a money offer from the Chinese government-funded CGTN were leaked for some reason, your reputation, if there is any, is doomed. Here is why:
1. You first need to prove the authenticity of the screenshot. (how are you gonna do that?)
2. Even if the screenshot is true, you have to prove this email is not a cover-up, the payment was never made, and no under-the-table communication between you and Lucy on things like Wechat.
3. Even if the video using was complementary to avoid conflict of interests, you still have to prove the generosity is not made for more strategic interests. As we Chinese all know, 'To catch a big fish one must cast a long line'.
Or you can do the easy thing to prove your independence, that is: be a man and talk some real independent shit. Peng Shuai would be a good start.

On per capita basis, China ain’t the largest emitter of GHGs. US is much bigger!
And Canada and other oil producing countries which are by far worse than China and needs to clean up their act before pointing fingers at China. Cyrus, you need to start hammering this point to stop western media getting away with the biggest emitter without taking into consideration population size which makes absolute sense. With a bigger population, you need more heat and energy to maintain life in 1.4 billions people vs 35 millions people in Canada. So emission would be expected to be much higher in that context.

So it's possible that he was simply too busy at that time to work out payment details, that's why the payment discussion was delayed. It's not uncommon for payment details to be *worked out later* after the business transaction occurred, so what are you trying to say?

Yeah, the term 'payment' was a bit vague. A licence fee is a specific business arrangement and transaction. Party A has a product, party B seeks permission from A to use it for a fee. Stock standard practice.

Mr. Janseen, I have been following your videos on China. I congratulate you for your attempt to inform the world about the true China and I totally agree with your statements and views so far. I have been to China for 3months in 2017 and was amazed at the superior development in infrastructure in every city I visited. Despite being a communist country, I wish I was able to also live there. I am totally impressed by the openness and culture of its citizens. Keep reporting about China as the western medias are giving a bias view to the world.
