सारे मामले अंततः आर्थिक स्थितियाँ से हीं जुड़ी हुई है।
चाहे कोई ST हीं क्यों ना हो अगर आर्थिक स्थिति अच्छी है तो अब उसे कोई समस्या वर्ग आधारित नहीं होगी।

SC,St , OBC की मेरिट विभिन्न एग्जाम में कम इस लिए जाती है क्योंकि इन वर्गों में अभी भी बहुत कम साक्षरता का प्रतिशत है।खासकर मेडिकल और इंजीनियरिंग में।और इन दोनो परीक्षाओ फीस इतनी ज्यादा है की गरीब घरों के बच्चे एडमिशन नहीं ले पाते हैं।दूसरी महत्व पूर्ण बात obc,sc,St, की मेरिट कम जाने से ,जनरल केटेगरी,की मेरिट ऊपर जाने का कोई तर्क नहीं है।जनरल केटेगरी की मेरिट इस लिए ऊपर जाती है क्योंकि इस केटेगरी में पढ़े लिखे लोग ज्यादा हैं इनके पास सारी सुविधाएं भी हैं।तो बेवजह समाज को गुमराह करने की जरूरत नहीं है।5000सालो से कुछ वर्ग विशेष के लोगो को पढ़ने का अधिकार रहा है।obc,sc,St के लोगों को भी मुख्य धारा में आने दीजिए।obc,sc,St को यदि इतना ही आरक्षण का लाभ मिला है तो भारत सरकार में,मुख्य सचिव,2,3 ही क्यों है भाई?????????

Two points put forward by these students is really thoughtful
1. Government should coordinate preparation of backward students instead of reservation of seats.
2. There should be a creamy and a non creamy layer in sc and st caste as well.

economic basis in the constitution, reservation was given so that social discrimination could be eliminated and those who impart knowledge on reservation should also tell what is EWS 10 percent because reservation on economic basis is unconstitutional but it is being given and is being taken by general and the bigger thing is that the people who are taking the reservation raise questions on ST SC reservation. I am from OBC and many times I go more than general on OBC cut off but I support SC ST reservation because we can never remember the value of what those people supported. Even today they have to see casteism in IIt and other big sectors. Yes of course those who have IAS, IPS in ST SC, their children may not get it but that reservation is for the same community Let the rest of the people meet it and those who oppose it should put themselves in their place and see why they gave it away.

@@rdx706 Reservatioon is all about adding extra seats for the ceratin class of peoples,it doesnt mean the institutions are stealing seats from the general peoples. lets assume if the total number of seats are 100 then extra 10 seats are added and kept reserved for the sc/st and obc candidates. If a person belongs to sc/st also scores a general category marks then the reserved seat is not alloted to him/her. lets say pass marks for gen category is 180 and for st/sc is 150 then it doesnt mean seats from gen category will be alloted to tthe st/sc candidate who scores 150 , only the seats from the reserved category will be alloted to them. peoples have misconceptions that st/sc cadidates are stealing seats from gen category.

bro , first of all , in present time its not always true that sc/st are poor and they don't have resources ......many of my friends are sc/st and they are so rich but despite of that they are taking benefit of this reservation system ......and on the other side worthy general candidates don't get selected in higher institutions............i am not denying that reservation is important but it should be given to those who deserve it not just everyone belonging to lower caste ...............and trust me it will be good for country as well because nowadays candidates that are not worthy are getting selected at higher positions coz of this system........and the sharp and bright minds are not selected

Mai general caste se belong karta hun lekin aarakshan ka samarthan karta hun lekin sirf unke liye jinko jarurat hai. MLA SC ST hai - unke bacho ko aarakshan ka kya matlab ? Girl said prepare their entrance test rather than giving reservation. A child who born in poor SC family , they studied in extreme conditions. Now compare with a child who born in rich family ,born with silver spoon , got costly education . Both of them completed their 23 years. Can a poor guy ever compete with the rich one in entrance exam ? 23 years in extreme conditions then pay fee only for their entrance preparation is a bad idea rather than giving them reservation. Entrance coaching is just a way to polish -its only for them who are already prepared and just need a polish but not for them who wants to start.

Totally agree with the 2nd girl...every sc/st family should get benefits of reservation so that one day no ones left behind.. but currently i have seen many many cases where members of same family were benefitted from reservation over generations from job to promotion that too for each family individual...now these families become certainly more financially stabl, their children go to top convent schools get tutions and coaching and got selected upon less numbers..this created a creamy layer in sc/st itself and only they will get reservation benefits for years to come according to current reservation system. This must change now ...Thoughts?

very well presented . Reservation helped me to come out of poverty as my father had no land ,but a 4th grade job at an industry and only a house. I had to face taunts from other students , but I never minded their words as they never visited a village .If they would have seen the village I was from , they would have seen a world apart in 80's-90's. A world where 95% land is occupied by general category and 5% by the population who are serving them. Now I have already made my mind that my children would not use reservation . I wanted to grow them without a caste identity , only religion Hindu. There was a funny incident . My kid got admitted in class 1 in a private school and I left caste option in admission form nil . But when I wanted to change his school in class 3rd , I got his TC from the school , and surprisingly caste in TC was filled Brahmin by school authority, as it was mandatory to specify caste in that certificate issued by state government. So caste will never leave a person in India and caste supremacy is going to be there for next 100 years. Government should not make compulsory to write caste name in various documents. caste option should be made optional.
To tackle creamy layer case in reserved category,government should reassess population and it is easier to track income tax and earning using aadhar. Caste certificate should be linked to aadhar.
And how will government deal with soft caste discrimination still existing in educated society ?
For example , My family and one of my colleague's family had a great fun in Goa tour. But my colleague's wife was curious to know my caste and we revealed them that we are xxx caste from SC category. Since then, that family behaved like a stranger to us :). Since I have faced this situation before , I also assume we never knew each other, and I am adapted to it.
Truth is that large portion of corporate jobs is with MNC's and compared to it government jobs are meagre. And what should be %age of reserved category professionals in MNCs? And what is %age of general category professionals? may be 70%-80% . What is solution ?

My one SC friend is very rich than me(General), No one knows his caste Untill he brings his Caste certificate of Buddhist SC
In reality SC ST reservation are mostly taken by middle class or Rich SC ST, And most of the SC ST are still living in that condition
If that person who deserves Reservation gets that then there is No problem with reservations
And yes Reservation should not be more than 25 30%
Total 65% reservation(including General EWS, Female) is there in India
In states like Tamil Nadu 69%(without any General EWS or Gender)
This creates a problem that In a exam were people studies for years and they don't get anything after scoring more than 60% students who are giving with you
It's Not Just About Caste Reservation
Religious Minoritiy, Linguistic Minoritiy, Regional reservation, Home state, female, EWS, SC, ST, OBC, etc.

Then that persons family now onwards should not get the reservation. They will be treated as general. Why because BR Ambedkar clear that reservation is for uplifting the backward class. Now if a class got a job by taking the reservation then that person is uplifted then no need of reservation now onwards to that persons dependents.

Reservation should not be given to the people who born after 2010.. Its enough of years gone after independence when such discrimination used to happen.. People born even after 90s didn't faced any discrimination still taking aggressive stand like they themselves are facing it.

Some days ago I had my zoology exam. So I was BSc 3rd year student in college where courses were taught both the language. Librarian came in between exam for signing a document which apparently was about the book that were provided to the category students for free. Then I came to know govt provide the same books to them for whom I spend more than 2000rs along with the those usual scholarship. Now the funny part was more 5 student have written 'vanaspati shastra' in the subject name. The examiner had also taunted that what's the point of giving books when they can't write subject name correctly.

I think all the education boards should introduce chapters on caste and disadvantages that the people from certain castes faced, and then should introduce a chapter that why reservations or affirmative actions are needed to provide social justice. Reservation is one of the ways, there should be more ways that should be included. Because I feel, most of the people from general category don't even understand what discrimination is based on the lines of castes. I was one such individual who had to educate himself to understand it. The sad truth is that unless people are sensitized, we would not be able to achieve it. Further, this mindset that someone has scored higher than the other in an exam doesn't become meritorious by default. That lie needs to be debunked too. One person studies in a village school without any exposure to good books, teachers, nutrition gets 300 marks and another candidate starts preparing for the exam since a child with all the facilities and gets 400 marks; would we say that the former is inferior than the latter? I've observed discrimination by medical college students and also, did not find anyone who got admission through reservation to be of any inferior quality. Unfortunately, most of the people feel that they are not meritorious enough. One should also remember, that the exit exams to finish a degree is the same for everyone. This is from someone who used to be anti-reservation and became a pro-reservation, and more should be done. Further, all the general category people should give up on their castes and stop propagating it by marrying in same caste, hanging with people of same caste, etc.

I think the representation of people in various sector should be according to their population. In this way, none of the community will encroach on the rights of other community. In a multi-community structure, this is the only way that society can sustain.
Many believe that merit should be the only consideration but that will not work in this case. Many communities are still lacking behind in education and livelihood sector. Therefore caste-based census need to be conducted and policies need to be re-calibrated according to population of each community.
I understand reservation is hard stick, instead government can introduce affirmative action plan for inclusion and proper representation of all communities in various sector. This type of action plan is already in USA, where black , asian and other community, is still lacking behind, so they have affirmative action plan, where they monitor composition of employees on the basis of diversity and if it feels that proper representation is not there, then they reprimand the company. As it believes that, It is the job of company to upskill the employee from backward community, so that these folks can fit in the company at all level and nobody can provide excuse of merit to ostracize people from backward community to reach higher positions.

I don't remember in a state opposition party appealed for it but the BJP government stopped it as we all know that BJP is only for upper caste people not for depressed class . 1) Historical Injustice -- Unequal Landholding Distribution
2) State -- taking affirmative action -- To make them equal
3) Issues-- Specially In Competitive Exams -- Very low cutoff for prescribed lower castes
4) Harming prescribed upper caste (specially who is economically backward too-- Govt provided EWS reservation but it is not sufficient)
5) Underline Issues:
a) Lack of Seats in institutions
b) Affirmative actions can be taken in the form of providing them quality education and providing them coaching for these competitive exams
c) "Creamy layer has been developed in lower caste too" (which is already uplifted)-- getting culture of excellence -- Harming the upliftment of non creamy layer peoples -( and also the lower middle class from upper caste) -- One who should be uplifted is not uplifting
