- In the towering rain forests along the northern shores of the Pacific, scientists recently discovered a new subspecies of the gray wolf. Unlike its genetic kin anywhere else in the world, this wolf swims, fishes for salmon and roams great distances from island to inlet across both water and rough terrain.

Great new discovery! This is so amazing! Absolutely love it! Thank you so much for sharing!!!...

The wolves see people come, investigate them, intimidate them, and then see them off the island. why is that one of the coolest things I've seen in a long time?
I loved it! 😂 They're like ok you're scaring our fish, shoo
So very heart warming to watch these amazing wolves in their natural habitat.
I truly hope they can save this beautiful natural land and these amazing wolves.
Thanks again REAL WILD for sharing.
🌏🐺
This was beyond precious- the narration, the beautiful wolves, eagle, I just loved it! thank-you so much
I love wolves, they’re not the strongest
But the coordination they have to maintain to hunt is simply amazing
For wolves like grey wolves and sea wolves they are the top predators.Except for bears. And small wolves like the Ethiopian wolf live in the desert they really have no predators.
The wolves are spectacular! Very lucky to live in Beautiful British Columbia!
Excellent content. Loved getting to watch a documentary about wildlife that isn't terribly sad, simply science & interesting facts. As well as the Indigenous perspective. Thank you Canadian Geographic! My brief time spent with the coastal wolves here in B.C. has been nothing short of magical. Hoping to get back out and photograph them in the near future!
I think the wolf discovering the microfon (and later the Zodiac) did NOT damage or destroy anything. He knows EVERYTHING in his territory - but has never in his life seen these things and so he cautiously explores the find: what is it - is it a dangerous thing - can I eat it???? That`s all he did. It was "damage" only from our point of view . . Great documentation by the way. Thank you. But please: Forget about the music! The sounds of nature would have been far more appropriate . .
This documentary film has interesting footage of the world. And I love the nature of the waterfalls are gorgeous 🐕🐕🐕🐕🐕🐕🌲🌳🌲🌳🐕🐕🐕🐕🐕☀️🌳🌲🌳🌲🌧️🌧️🌊💦💦🌳🌲🌳🌲🐦🦜🙂♥️👍✌️🖐️
I enjoy the work so much from these...I just can't comprehend how the score dominating every part of these can be in any way a benefit 🤔. Once again can't even hear the narrator or islanders speaking. Super sad and frustrating 😶. Love, light & laughter friends.
Well you can always turn on the subtitles and you can see what they are speaking about.
Idk i can hear them speaking pretty well
What a fantastic Documentary.
Great work and footage, great vid !! Such a sacrifice to live in those conditions to study the Wolves.
This was amazing ..hope you can capture more, thank you
Absolutely wonderful! 👌
That is so cool. Best video that I have seen on wolves. Thanks and peace.

I'm just glad there are people out there you can pray before all alone because I could not keep fighting in the forest and myself. Thanks to them they get to see things I never would go with to go see myself. Beautiful animals on land sea in the sky. ♥️👍✌️🖐️🌎🌍🌏🙂☀️🌳🌴🌲🌵🐦🦜🐢🐢🐍🐍🌊🐠🐟🦂🐙🦑🦀🦞🦐🐛🐚🐌🐳🐬🦈🐡🌊 Clean and clear.
I really watched this whole documentary it’s interesting lol
Gotta love them Sea Wolfs! Woooooo! :p
Great video. Yet the music is way to loud.
Very hard to hear music too loud!
th-cam.com/video/AmJXZ4w4UgE/w-d-xo.html
fantastic docu! just loved it
Documentary is ok but the background music is too loud and distracting.
th-cam.com/video/AmJXZ4w4UgE/w-d-xo.html
Great documentary but I'm really not nearly interested in the music as I am in what is being said background music for really too loud
WoW haha i had no idea. This was so good. Definitely sharing.
excellent program. would love to go visit there
I’ve encountered these in the wild on a few occasions! what a beautiful animal. Occasionally they will lure dogs out to either kill them, or sometimes mate with them. I’m fortunate enough to have a coastal wolf cross
Makers of wildlife documentaries. Music should not be that prominent every time. I rather hear the people speak and the animals make noice, not turn up the volume so i can and at same time get deaf due to the NOT background music
music to loud cant hear dialog sorry :(
Excellent beautiful place
I wonder how much longer this area will stay protected....?

*Thank you for sharing* 😘

👍
Interesting video
Thanks to all but the xylophone player
Awesome
th-cam.com/video/AmJXZ4w4UgE/w-d-xo.html
So the term "sea wolf" retroactively has a real animal associated with it. Cool
Super show of images .. congratulations
th-cam.com/video/AmJXZ4w4UgE/w-d-xo.html
It'd be improved without the drunk shaky cam swerving all over the place for no reason... The information was fine, but watching that camera movement made my head hurt. Overall it's great to hear about this discovery and the fight to protect such a unique region with minimal impact from humans.
WTF with the soundeffekts??? Can't hear what they say
Nice, ty 🤓👍✏📖
360p is the new 1080p. I like it.
*The musics a bit loud*
My surname is apparently from the old English way of saying seawolf that evolved (or devolve) into Self and goes back to viking settlers on the east coast of England FYI lol
th-cam.com/video/AmJXZ4w4UgE/w-d-xo.html
They're so similar to Fraser Island dingoes
amazing willd world
I really wanted to watch this...but after about 5 minutes I had to turn it off...the music is WAY too loud and drowns out the narration! Really annoying!
The information is great. The video sux.
Wow
Wild salmon aren't known for parasites. I've cleaned and fileted hundreds of them, and on very rare occasions I've seen a worm.
youve never heard of BLK?
or a microscope, apparently.
@@swapshots4427 No, and apparently Google hasn't either. I have heard of using an apostrophe for conjunctions though.
@@swapshots4427 I don't need a microscope to filet a fish. The worms I've seen didn't require magnification.
You said you’ve seen “a worm” then in another comment say “worms” hmm I wonder who’s being under dramatic lol
Great video.....can.i move in
Music too loud !!!
explain the difference between wolf, coyote and fox. thanks, May god bless your kindes in return
where my therians at?
Here! I’m a Vancouver island sea wolf therian!
Here! I’m a red fox and Norwegian forest cat :)
Heerre!!
Here i am !!
(Also a Vancouver sea wolf therian, so happy to see more vids of these wolves !)
🤔 nice story
Seems like somebody could have warned them not to cover their microphone with a dog toy.
“In the Native Legends of British Columbia, wolves are neither wicked nor violent..” Ones just a shapeshifter that kills at night #skinwalker
Whereas humans conveniently enslave foreigners to do the killing for them in meat factories out of their civilized view.
th-cam.com/video/AmJXZ4w4UgE/w-d-xo.html
Nice to know there's some place that's undisturbed by people
Humans poorly understand science
I feel like you're on wolf territory
Where did your chihuahua come from
You're welcome 🐺
Humans are very disruptive
Have you reversed the music and the commentary? Music is loud and commentary is quiet haha
th-cam.com/video/AmJXZ4w4UgE/w-d-xo.html
I keep waiting for the casual “aye”
So this guy is the first person to ever use science on the BC coast , huh
Interesting! Background sounds entirely too loud and too much. While people are speaking, there should be NO other sounds.
it's a war of survival, but is there anything we can do to reduce it?
WOLVES ARE FAITHFUL ANIMAL.
❤❤❤
th-cam.com/video/AmJXZ4w4UgE/w-d-xo.html
I wish we could release Siberian Tigers in Canada
th-cam.com/video/AmJXZ4w4UgE/w-d-xo.html
People would eventually start hunting them..Being an invasive species is not the best..
@@its_ezralol Canadians ain't doing shit bruh
Rebuild the land bridge from asia to america!
Sorry but this is an ignorant statement. There are enough problems with invasive species.
It is worth losing the 5k equipment -- capturing the display of their intelligence. If ... just if
Background music is too loud and distracting.
th-cam.com/video/AmJXZ4w4UgE/w-d-xo.html
Good doc but the music isn’t loud enough.
A very interesting report but is it really necessary to have all the loud noise, so called music, in such a report. It makes listening harder for people with hearing problems and is louder than the speaker. We seem to live in a world where there has to be more and more noise.
i love wolves
Sea wolfes 👍
Is there any need for the overpowering crash bandicoot music? Switching off if that doesn't go away soon.
Now the hunters will know where to find them too
This show is a lie. Wolves are nearly extinct. It’s to make people think these animals are still roaming freely unharmed. Hunting was the main reason
@@franchisefred4066 Wolves are very much alive and well. They are not going extinct anytime soon. As you can see there are many types of wolves which means if one species die we still have many more. Ur a lie if anything…
I bagged two sea wolves last fall. Just got them back from the taxidermists. He did a great job.
@@franchisefred4066 literally couldn't take a second to look it up first... 😅 Fuckin ignorance's perfect example.
@@rhymeswithteeth ew..
It’s makes since humans have claimed almost every good beach It’s no coincidence the only place they live doesn’t have 1000s of people around
th-cam.com/video/AmJXZ4w4UgE/w-d-xo.html
A little bit of embellishment here and there, but I learned a few things. Well worth watching.
the background music is really irritating ; unable to hear the voice?!
This could have been a really good documentary. Ruined by the music - unwatchable.
I have seen some really big coyotess in Laredo Texas.
Who is in charge of the background 'noise'?? They are overdue for replacement. Also recommended would be a brain scan to determine alertness... I fear it may be too late. PLEASE DO SOMETHING TO REDUCE THIS HORRIBLE NOISE. Replace your sound engineer
It looks sea wolves are smaller than Yellowstone grey/black wolves. Hunters know where to find sea wolves.
Human is my second language
👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌
clever doggies
Background music is way too overwhelming and so unnecessary... too bad😑
th-cam.com/video/AmJXZ4w4UgE/w-d-xo.html
this is how evolution happens
Mans best friend, yet worst enemy??
Canadian Geographic so concerned with conservation and habitat loss, that it happily let's a wolf take it's time destroying a costly microphone and wind breaker.
I'm sure everyone got a good laugh though, so that's the main thing isn't it, a good laugh?
I should be curious to know the inbreeding coefficient, certainy more than 30.
Almost 20 mins in & still haven't seen a wolf yet....
Ah, please stop exposing me, im tired of running
At 43:13 someone says holy s***. What are they teaching Us in this educational documentary.
I loved this. Very informative but had a hard time hearing the narrative with the loud stupid music.
I’d have watched, I tried, but the music was distracting and the annoying hammering gives me a fierce headache.
less wolves, much and loud music :-(
th-cam.com/video/AmJXZ4w4UgE/w-d-xo.html
Wait are you talking about werewolf?? 😱
The Colombian myth
Why irritating music🤬😡video is good😇remove sound.
