- Here is a full run of RK9 Hard Mode on my lancer. If want to skip to last boss, it's at 18:40. Last boss was done in Extreme Mode and I did it in slaying setup. I'm kinda new to slaying recently, so still getting used to it but it offers a really nice challenge. Slaying isn't required as lancer but if you can do it, it's a nice boost for a bit more party dps.
Also this was during an event we had where the drop rate for loot was tripled.

Hi. In that part starting at 19:50, I did combo attack + debilitate + spring attack + combo attack + shield barrage + spring attack + wallop. My play style is slightly different as over the year I've gotten better in maximizing the combos during A. Rush. Not sure if you're on console or pc but things changed over the year with more skills on pc.
For a normal boss:
I Guardian Shout but I do this as I am walking in since it takes time for the skill to apply and rest of pt is coming in too. Then I would debilitate (so boss gets endurance debuff) + spring attack (so this helps me get some aggro). Some bosses may hit right after this, so I block + shield counter + spring attack. Then + challenge shout + infuriate + A rush + brooch. By this time, the party is ready behind the boss ready to attack. The way I start the boss is my personal preference. Some lancers (right after guardian shout) just do challenge shout at the beginning + infuriate + A rush, etc...then they apply debilitate and so on.
These are how my chains look from the beginning in most fights:
Debilitate + spring attack + block + shield counter + spring attack + challenge shout + Infuriate + A.Rush + brooch + lein root beer + pet buff
During A rush, you want to maximize all your skills as much as possible to get as much dps and every boss is different, there are no set chains, it depends how they attack. So a chain sequence could look like this:
Shield barrage + spring attack + wallop + super leap + shield counter + spring attack + Stun + onslaught + shield barrage + spring attack + shield counter + spring attack + debilitate + wallop + super leap
And in those chains, sometimes I find myself combo attack quite a bit. I think it's a habit.

2 pts remain is optional for shout speed or aggro glyph on shield barrage. Or take away 5 pts from debilitate and readjust the 7pts to your own liking, such as 5 pts to infuriate cd glyph. I personally like the extra uptime on debilitate.

Thanks. I run a 3 crit/2 power jewelry setup with pumped II/III etchings on them. Both weapon and gloves energetic. I think it's best to run 3 crit/2 power setup since most skills will still have about same crit rate even if you were to use 5 pc full crit. Because of that, I think having a sweet spot like +220-240 crit rate, then build power as much as you can.

Is this the hardest encounter in tera currently? Hardest PVE? Ty.
I would say yes, this is considered the hardest dungeon among all of the dungeons in Tera Pc at the moment, one that gives a challenge. There is also a 20 man raid, which is called harrowhold and that is supposed to be the hardest but not everyone runs it since you need a static group for it. And it's easier now because of recent gear and awakening makes it easy if all 20 ppl know what they are doing. Recently some classes got awakening this past week, so it's easier to clear that dungeon and pretty much most of the other ones faster.
I think in a few weeks there are new dungeons coming that are supposed to be more difficult and balanced towards awakening but as always things are difficult at first and easier with practice. IMO I think dreadspire tower is the hardest content, which hopefully will make a return in the future. Right now Ktera has it and is considered to be the most difficult. It was my favorite thing to run where you get to fight all the different tera bosses one by one in each floor.

How do you attack so fast it’s unreal, I use almost the same chains but that speed is nuts
If you have good ping, that's one of the most important factors. Others are using consumables such as bravery potion and food such as lamb & lein root beer. Then priest or mystic buffs that help increase speed as well. Lancer's Arush also helps increase speed and brooch of course

Sorry for the late reply. Usually for lancer, main skills are shield barrage, spring attack, wallop and shield counter. Debuff/buff skills are also important such as debilitate, Adrenaline Rush and Guardian Shout.
I typically like to start with Debilitate -> Spring Attack so I can apply a debuff on the boss and also get a hit that generates good aggro. Can also start with shield barrage + spring attack, then block the boss hit, then shout + enrage and try to get Guardian shout + Adrenaline Rush when possible. During the A.rush, I would prioritize shield barrage + spring attack + wallop when possible, or it could be something like Shield barrage + spring attack + block + shield counter + wallop...depends on the boss really. Sometimes it might be Debilitate or Shield Barrage + Spring Attack + Wallop + Shield Counter + Spring attack. When A rush is off, you would typically try to focus the main skills when possible and fit as many hits between each hit.
With awakening released this past week, there are some new skill rotations and I'm still figuring it out. There is a new skill called super leap, which is best to activate after wallop or charging lunge. I would say the normal skills rotations before awakening still applies. Most of the rotations here essentialmana.com/daniels-advanced-min-max-lancer-guide/, still applies.
sorry this is a late question. I am starting out as tank and I just have a few questions about the main rotation outside of AR since you covered that already. I usually use shield barrage + spring attack + wallop, shield bash + onslaught, and debilitate + lockdown blow. Are there ways i can improve this? Also I find I sometimes have gaps to fill (i use just basic attack) at least on the earlier bosses should I be worried about this?
It's never too late :) , um the skills you mentioned outside of AR, those are the ones to use. The big thing is how to use them depending on the boss's attacks. After the awakening, I find myself always prioritizing shield barrage, spring attack, shield counter, wallop, debilitate and super leap. I think there is always the mindset to fit in as many attacks and blocks/shield counter + chain skills (spring attack, wallop) when possible. Sometimes if you can't return shield counter, block again to build more stacks for retribution shield (builds shield counter damage), then return it with a chain skill. Sometimes I find myself using auto attack as well in between skills, which is normal. If you find yourself using that too much, that can happen if you don't have the full double cd reduction. That's the only thing I can think of. Some lancers use attack speed on their weapon and that makes them end up having them to use auto attack a bit more than usual finding their core skills on cd faster.

Race doesn't matter in pve, it might for pvp. The race I chose (amani) is based on my personal choice :)
