Very cool. Motif building very important and very well explained. By Corey and the commentator later. I wish that during the commentator‘s portion that while explaining the chords, they could’ve been posted visually. Thanks.
All of that isn't the point... you gotta look more broadly at music. You being a keyboardist never made rhythm stop being an element of music in the first place.
Per exemple. That is the song of Stevie Wonder 1976. Love's in need of love today. That's the bridge. That's what my ears tell me cuz I knew that's song. But again it's good how he breaks down it and he could also show the original song where he got his structure that we can understand.
That’s great playing but it would be better to demonstrate improvisation on an acoustic piano using let’s say a standard show tune by Gershwin, Cole Porter, or an Ellington tune, something with more challenging chord changes.

Nah bro this dude is the main character from Soul of Pixar😂
Great video! Really helped
Oh man😭
This man probably knows how every key sounds on the keyboard
Exactly bro😢
Step 1: hit play on your left hand.
😂
That’s great playing but it would be better to demonstrate improvisation on an acoustic piano using let’s say a standard show tune by Gershwin, Cole Porter, or an Ellington tune, something with more challenging chord changes.
No.
Nice technique but I do more like pad patterns
I am a bass player, how could this course help me in a practical way? Does this course match my instrument?
Have I paid for this? No
Am I glad I didn't? No
Does he have a good teaching method? Yes
Do you suck at learning? Yes
😂😂😂
Is this Corey Henry or what?
Yes
No. It's Cory Henry.
this is really insightful but the price of the course is killing and made it didnt see the light of day
Pretty interesting you’d think you’d focus more on melody instead of rhythm and would just spam random notes instead of motifs.
How can one focus on melody and spam random notes?
Spamming random notes is not music
@@Kevinschart unfortunately, this is how people who don't play or listen to jazz hear jazz lol, even though the guy is probably joking

No he is a sheep
I'm glad I didn't pay for this. He doesn't have a good teaching method.
That's because you can't play it. He's not teaching at a beginner or intermediate level. This is for advanced players.
This is straightforward though. What would you have preferred he do?
The teaching method is fine. You just don't know your stuff
This is actually really pretty insightful for people who haven’t thought of this on any melodic instrument
@@sebastianchristopher9461I’m not advanced but even I can follow this
