This song is so sad yet so serene. I like it. I can imagine, whilst listening to this song, Gijiri thinking about his past before he asks for mortality; with his last thoughts being that of Misakuya smiling.
Somehow, I upvoted that comment, but never replied to it. And yet, I love it. I love the idea that despite being literally centuries old, Gijiri never forgot his love for Misakuya. I like to imagine that in his last moments, he forgets who he is and sees himself as a young child again, on the day where she smiled back at him, and he thought everything was possible, and nothing would ever stop his love.

@@Orionis_Delta They would have, since Misakuya told her descendants to treat the Kagachi better than she did. She gave in to this dehumanization simply through peer pressure and probably regretted it her whole life.

Wait really? It doesn’t really seem like one, if anything it feels like it’d be Raison d’etre. And it’s called L’avide, and an important story event happens there that doesn’t involve L’erisia.
@@twiilit.tunes_ Raison d'Être is linked to Chapter 6 (the showdown between Malchut and L'Erisia) - it is not final. However, this is indeed one of only two songs to belong to Chapter 8. It isn't meant as a "final boss" theme, but rather a cutscene theme that accompanies the peaceful death of Gijiri.
