- Jarrod and I headed out to Lair O Bear Park to ride their Bike Optimized Trail, Rutabaga. Follow along for some raw clips of us attempting to climb a tricky section and flow through the downhills.

People say bikes widen trails and cause erosion. Meanwhile rutabaga is the narrowest and least eroded trail at lair. And we can check back in ten years and see the same thing.

Nice effort on the crazy climb! I've seen a video where a guy goes straight instead of turning and then clears it. A few others cleared it. I've never even really tried but I might give it a shot next time!
How did it turn out? I’ve completed it about 10 times since this video but it never gets easier lol

Cuz it’s a brand new trail, duh! I live 15 minutes from Lair and have been riding it for 20 yrs at least, massive change in the trails with high usage. It’s just the way it goes with front range trails.

That climb is easier if you sprint into it with the most speed you can, drop to granny gear and take it straight at the top instead of left.
I got it the next day a few times without going straight. 🎉
I did this yesterday first time, didn't seem to be that harsh but awsome effort was seen here. I am very new to this stuff but a power output definitely helps to get through the what's seen by most as harder. Nice work.

She called in Rutabaga. That wall is on Rutabaga Loop. She did Rutabaga Ride at the end.

I’ve been picking away at that rock feature since it opened, it’s nice to have some video footy of some people cleaning it. Now I know a little better what I should be doing.
It took me a BUNCH of tries! I went back the next day and it took an hour but I finally got it! I should have waited to post this video lol you got it!!!!
Time to do some impromptu maintenance on that outside rut 😂
