+C Fergi yea but you thought that colossus was a big guy in metal form all the time, which he never was in anything but deadpool, so you can tell where you're gettin your info from
Storm is probably a class 4 mutant like magneto and pyro. But she's so damn useless at using her powers, even though she's a teacher. I mean it's just mind blowing to wonder why Storm wouldn't just strike magneto with lightning.
InvictuZ Apparently since electricity and magnetism are related he's immune to it or something. Storm in this universe does suck tho, she just can't do anything.
Storm is EASILY an Omega level mutant and without a doubt one of the most potentially powerful beings in the entire marvel universe. Her powers are so broad and have no limits. Look at a guy like the ice man, he’s considered omega level and his powers are strictly based on cold powers. Well cold powers are just a small fraction of what storm can do. Cold, heat, wind, rain, lighting, acid, and on and on it goes. Her powers are based around energy and atmospheric manipulation so she really has no limits. In the comics she’s over powered other elemental hero’s with their own elements. She’s opened dimensional rifts in the universe. She’s carried the X jet for miles with her powers while flying along side it. She even beat the living shit out of Wonder Woman in the cross over comic, and WW is basically a goddess. Storm is no joke.
You mention Wolverine being thrown by Colossus in the Danger Room, but you didn't that he actually manages to light a cigar off of a simulated burning building. Like WTF
Everything in the 'Danger Room' is real. Charles got the tech from the alien lady he was banging, if I remember correctly. It's like the holodeck on Star Trek with the safety turned off.
yeah I don't like them being leaders of the X-Men. Mystique is far better as a villain, and Wolverine seems much more like a solo hero (which he is) than as a group leader
First movie cyclops was alright but after wolverines popularity he got shoved in the second one and a contract dispute in the last one.And mystique was not the leader in apocalypse, all she did was tell them not to be afraid of there powers and is training them,Beast was more of a leader in that movie
Totally agree. Pharoah yeah Mystique is a classic villain and Wolverine is too feral to be an inspiring leader and when they try to make him too soft I lose my interest in the character. Cyclops was always the anchor in the 90's cartoon and without him at the helm the movies feel lost. And they totally misused Storm. She's so awesome in the cartoon and they just turned her into the miss rainy day snooze fest and Halle Berry's really really but she doesn't have strong presence to command a role like Storm.
Ummm Katniss is in X Men First Class onwards, not this piece of shit. If Jennifer Lawrence had been in this pile of crap it would have been more interesting.
I wonder if Rogue actually thought about something like that, but even then it wouldn't be legit as she'd still be unable to do other things any every other person is capable of.
@Elvick if the problem presides with skin to skin contact uhh condoms? Uhh double up with female condoms.. And as mentioned above there are ways around that here just wear cloths? Sure may not be as smexy as nude but least ya still get some
Also, Magneto watches the Phoenix kill Xavier, his lifelong friend, right in front of him, and he's like "Okay, no biggie." But, when the Phoenix starts killing a bunch of no-name extras in front of him on Alcatraz Island, Magneto says "What have I done?!" and runs away scared. Shouldn't these reactions been flipped around? Or better yet, shouldn't they have moved the Alcatraz Island battle to the middle of the movie, and saved the fight scene at Jean Grey's house at the end of the movie, so when Xavier dies, it could actually carry the intended dramatic weight?
I get what you mean but if I recall correctly, Xavier was the one trying to stop Magneto using Jean Grey/Phoenix as a "weapon" in his war against the humans. He probably thought Xavier's death was an unfortunate casualty, and for the greater good ultimately in realising his dream of mutants taking over the world. With his old friend no longer around to oppose him and Jean on his side, there was no longer a signicant mutant threat against him. It is only near the end of the film that Jean completely "loses it" and starts destroying everyone and everything indiscriminately that Magneto realises that his rapid nurturing of Jean to use her full powers/potential sends her over the edge to virtually end the world as they know it and any vision he wanted in the future as well. Hence the "What have I done?!" exclamation moment - coming to terms with that he's to blame for dooming them all (mutants and humans) to the wrath of the Phoenix.
This movie's biggest sin is one you didn't list...They used the cure on Magneto, but had to kill Jean? Surely there were some darts laying around somewhere they could use on her so she didn't have to die.
kratoscallofduty Blame the comic books on that one. One of the few times the movie follows the books, we get a stupid decision. From another point though, Jean Gray would be left with too much guilt, killing her significant other, her respected teacher, and hell nameless army soldiers and other nameless mutants.

Potter TheAvenger I agree. They could have actually taken all three X-Men films to develop The Phoenix Saga effectively. Guardians of the Galaxy showed what X-Men could have been. Imagine if the Hell FIre Club and the Shi'ar had been featured. We would have gotten much stronger character development out of all the characters.+ There are so many things that could have branched off from other Marvel Universe's incorporated had they done so.
Nah Phoenix would've flicked those darts right back at them and then vaporized them. Maggs couldn't because they were made of plastic. Apparently she can't atomize adamantium though??
One thing that always got me about this series is how Cyclops was portrayed. We pretty much always see Cyclops from Wolverines POV rather then his own so he always ends up looking like a whining, nagging brat. I mean, do we forget the fact that Wolverine is practically drooling over his girlfriend? If you ask me, Cyclops is much better then Wolverine. He just wasn't written well in this trilogy.
shane55pwnt I love Wolverine but I completely agree. I presume Jean wouldn't be dating a complete dickwad, that's the reason she gives for not dumping Cyclops and being with Wolverine in the first place.
Yh, he's always been my favourite out of the X men, but in the movies he's shown of as a jackass who's over protective of his girl. His origin is cool and so's his powers, they aren't really giving cyclops the justice he deserves.
FichDichInDemArsch That would take a considerable amount of power by Cyclops, I don't think it would be that easy for him to hit Wolverine with that kind of power.
Missed one: Bobby Drake: You don't seem fine; you seem like you're avoiding me. I mean, something's wrong. Rogue: What's wrong is I can't touch my boyfriend without killing him. Other than that, I'm wonderful. Bobby Drake: Hey, I don't think that's fair. Have I ever put any pressure on you? Rogue: You're a guy, Bobby. Your mind's only on one thing. Cinema Sins: That's racist. *ding*
Rogue's a hypocrite in that scene. She yells at Bobby for thinking about that "one thing' but clearly, her mind is on that "one thing" too and she wants it more badly than he does.
You did not sin two major bullshits! Magneto threw all those cars but the bridge is still full of them at the end *ding* They had to kill Jean because there totaly were no cure darts left around anywhere *ding*
CZProtton Wolverine got there because his healing factor compensated for Jean's ability to rip him apart. He was healing faster then she was harming him. It may also be possible that Jean was subconciously holding back against him because of her feelings for him. Whatever the case, Wolverine's outfit got shredded to nothingness (save for his pants) so anything else he would have had on him would have gotten destroyed too.
exactly those darts would of turned into crisp... plus the only reason wolverines pants stayed on was because he didn't wanna be nude lol.... it wouldn't of been cool if he got nude making more sense
+Polaris Targaryen if i recall correctly, he was nude during filming and the pants were cgid on him.. must be the movie s rating.. im not entirely sure though
More sins I found while watching it: At the end, against Phoenix, the "Cure" kid runs away from her, then Wolverine says "I'm the only one who can stop her." Um, why not send the kid in to give her a hug. Can her TK even effect him? And why can't Storm just drop her with a bolt of lightning? She seems to have had trouble with vaporizing metal, so could Colossus take her out? Could she effect Kitty while phased? Where did all of the "Cured" mutants and all of the ones the X-men/soldier team-up neutralized go before Magneto and Pyro started throwing flaming cars? Did magneto just murder his own troops? Where's Sabertooth in this movie? Also, why did Magneto go free at the end of the movie? He is at least guilty of destruction of property, terrorism, and maybe even murder (deaths on the bridge), and facilitated a jailbreak, as well as got Mystique to break into Worthington labs before the movie begins. Does the law consider him a different person now that a single gene in his DNA was turned off? If so, he somehow managed to afford one hell of a lawyer. Also, Magneto has the only set of metal chess pieces in the park. Must have brought his own so that he could play against no one. He's also the only one without a partner, and there are several people watching others play.
1. Phoenix's power as seen in the movie, is capable of doing almost anything anybody could imagine. The "curing kid" couldn't hug her/cure her, because he would have bee obliterated before he could. Phoenix could also freeze Storm's lightning bolt in time, or possibly manipulate it to kill Storm herself. She has problems manipulating metal? Did you NOT see her completely destroy the X-Jet? As for Kitty Pryde, her power is to manipulate her body's molocules to go through solid objects, not avoiding TK. 2. Maybe they ran off, or were dragged out of the battle zone by the soldiers/other mutants? 3. Sabertooth got slammed into a boat from over 100 feet in the sky. He either died in the process, or left Magneto after the battle in X1. No reason for him to stick around if this is the case. 4. Magneto was hunted down for his destructive abilities. Without his powers, he's revealed to be a powerless, tough old man. He looks like he's near old age anyway, so why bother locking him up? 5. Magneto was used to metal manipulating his whole life, makes sense that he brought metal pieces. Magneto probably WANTED to play with himself, and brushed off anybody who wanted to join him. He HAD just lost his amazing powers after all. Depression is horrible.
TheKILGOR24251 1) Everything she does is an extension of her TK. She'd have to put up a TK forcefield or fly out of the way to not get hit. She only attacks things she considers a threat, (which is why she didn't fight in the last battle until attacked) and I doubt she knows the kid's a threat. As for the metal, she didn't destroy cars, pipes, Magneto and Juggernauts gear, or even the professor's metal wheelchair at her parent's house. 2) Movie didn't show it, so it counts as a sin. 3) Doubt it would kill him considering he literally died in XMO:W and came back. 4) He's still a mass murdering terrorist. Or would the army in this universe let Bin Laden go if he quit and started a bakery or something? 5) I'll buy the depression. He had grown so dependent on his powers that it'd be like one of us losing our sight.
I love movies but bringing out faults in movies is part of the fun and only people who are passionate about films find their flaws....keep it up Cinema Sins...X-men Fast Class...can't wait for that one
As much as I want to point out your misspelling of "First", I'm just curious what kind of movie "X-Men Fast Class" would be. I'm guessing it would be about Quicksilver going to a community college or something
Ok, i literally hurt my vocal chords, peed my pants and shed tears during the "NEEEEEERD" moment. It was completely unexpected and i can't stop laughing. God save me!
Sin #30 should have been the fact that Mystique just HAPPENED to be in the same truck as the Juggernaught. Sin #31 should have been that this movie expects us to believe that simple police forces managed to capture and contain the F***ING JUGGERNAUGHT!! A mutant who's mass and strength is on par with The Hulk, whom only Charles' mind could defeat him, and he got captured. Actually, add 3 sins for that incredible stupidity.
+SisterhoodofXMETAS You're right but Juggy is human, his helmet give his powers But it's still a sin because they have trapped him WITH the helmet on! So is still impossible
+Convoy81 actually, his helmet doesn't give him his powers, though it does protect him from certain things, his powers come from the "Crimson Ruby of Cyttorak" (probably completely misspelled that), or something like that (most places say it's a Ruby or a gem, but I think I read somewhere before that it was called something completely different...)... Not that any of this matters. No need to think anything of what I've said...
SolarsEdge Maybe, yet, he can decide how much force to use, just like normal people, just the right amount of force to not break it and enough so it doesn't slip.
GamingSage Obviously he isn't in regular canon. But I can see why they just had him be a mutant in this one, since it is easier to explain that to do the whole divine energy stone thing in an asian temple or whatever it was that gave him powers.
And since Cinema Sins doesn't excuse sins because "It's explained in the book" and book reference material doesn't apply here, then it also can't count for a sin.
the offspring is sterile though, so the breeding is not "successful" and they aren't considered a species, as they can't descend any further. With mutants this isn't the case, they're within the human species.
In x men they always seem to consider them the next species. Evolved past homo sapiens. There was a name that professor x gave them in first class and days of future past.
kieran10202 There's about 30 different definitions of a species and not all of them involve being able to breed together. Probably one of the most comprehensive one is the cohesion species concept which is where a species is the most inclusive group of organisms having the potential for genetic of demographic exchangeability. So under this, there can be gene flow between species but some genetic loci have to remain distinct. This allows things like Neanderthals and Homo sapiens to be separate species, even though modern Europeans and Asians are the descendants of human/Neanderthal hybrids.
Does anyone think this was a good movie? I can shut off parts of my brain when watching this movie, but just not enough to enjoy it. When "I'm the Juggernaut, B*tch" is the best quotable line in the movie, you know you're in the sewage of big budget movies.
Concerning Wolverine not dying when drowning: Wolverine cannot die from natural causes, but he CAN be knocked out and/or pass out. So, when his lungs fill up with water no oxygen gets to his brain, but since his brain is always healing, it just means he would pass out until oxygen can be sent to his brain again.
Towards the end of Days of Future Past. Magneto throws him into the water and he basically passes out. He wakes up as soon as he is found by the rescue party. So obviously he did not die from this. If he did, then he would not be alive in the future, and he clearly was.
+King Ghidorah yes all the supports under it had been severed, it should have still collapsed at the center, sure it's a suspension bridge, but that doesn't matter now that the bridge really isn't actually connected to anywhere, it's just resting.
Indeed. I certainly hope Marvel Studios delves into his history with Charles and him getting his powers from the Crimson Gem of Cyttorak. Unfortunately, get the feeling that they're going to go full SJW. At that point I'll no longer give a shit about the MCU.
well apparently there is a way for Charles to walk if he wants which he will be using in the next movie..urghh honestly, First Class was meant to be a whole new retake on xmen. I wish they had stuck with that and not gone and mixed the two versions together because its confusing everything
Days of Future past says he got a treatment for his spine which suppressed his powers, but I doubt that's just something you can rinse and repeat, especially since we know he uses his powers in origins but he also walks there.
Jean Gray is one of the few Class 5 mutants because if the power is left uncheck she herself can't control it anymore, and instead it will control her, and grow stronger with every second. Every other mutant has powers that are defined by a limit. Phoenix does not.
With full Phoenix force she becomes a omega whispch is level belong 5 and bobby drake aka iceman is also a omega level mutant but all we have seen him do is shit and they say he isn't even lvl 5 in movie just to make Jean special
I think Iceman is Class 5, while Pyro is Class 4 cause of the fact that Iceman can create ice out of nothing, as well as turn himself into an icicle, while Pyro needs a source of flame first.
Fady El-Zike i'll admit, i'm not an X-men fan (as in, never read the comics; not that i dislike it i just don't know anything beyond the films), but scientifically you don't need a source of flame to start a fire. it's basically just manipulating energies and enthalpy so that you can create enough heat to fuel a fire. i'm assuming that in conditions where Pyro can't create fire because of lack of oxygen, iceman also wouldn't be able to create ice due to a lack of water vapour because that and oxygen are both inherent in air, and there aren't many situations where you can retain the water vapour but remove all the oxygen in air. besides, both would have to stay in oxygenated conditions to function as human beings. so where Iceman can use his powers, so can Pyro.
Beast:"Oh my stars and garters" Juggernaut:"Don't you know who I am? I'M THE JUGGERNAUT, BITCH!" Juggernaut:"I'm the wrong guy to play hide and seek with" Shadowcat: Who's hiding dickhead? Cinemasins:"Man, the dialogue in this movie crackles, doesn't it?" Just everything 😂
But in the end, it's usually about who produces and directs a movie that determines how good a movie is. While Bryan Singer wrote for X-Men, X2: X-Men United, and X-Men: First Class, he also directed the first two X-Men movies, produced and directed Days of Future Past, and will be directing and producing the recently announced X-Men: Apocalypse, coming in 2016. I imagine had Singer produced and/or directed X-Men: The Last Stand, it would have been just as good as the other X-Men installments.
God, I LOVE this shit. I'm always pissing off my wife, kids, friends, neighbors, etc... saying basically the same things, but I give you a deep bow and well deserved kudos. I thought I was good at this but you are on another level. Thank you, THANK YOU, for saying what NEEDS to be said.
Angel had to be the most sorely underused mutant in the entire franchise, competing with Cyclops being the most shafted character in the franchise period. (If there was a superpower to be had, it's the ability to Fly and have wings like a Bird. I love that superpower; It's not much, but at least you get to fly, right?) And Wolverine takes top Billing, as usual. And other characters with interesting mutant powers are also given the shaft right after their one-scene wonder where they display their superpower for mundane reasons. I'm starting to see where Ratner got his reputation for directing.
Unless you're referring to the Cyclops that supposedly died in X3: The Last Stand, I am not sure how that'd be possible with X-Men: Apocalypse (2016) continuing where X-Men: First Class left off. Plus, had Simon Kinberg stuck to the Dark Phoenix trilogy from the comics, the movie wouldn't have had to end with Xavier cheating death following the end credits because neither him or Scott Summers died while fighting her according to the original storyline. Also, Jean Gray's actual second death was when she went back to being Marvel Girl.
Rawk4Life He's referring to the latest movie, X-Men: Days of Future Past. Plus, Cyclopes didn't die in First Class. Also, someone had posted earlier that young Cyclopes will be in Apocalypse.
The biggest sin in the entire X-men series is when Charles and Magneto meet Jean in her house in the Last Stand, she is a little teenage girl while Charles and magneto are very old. I mean Carles has already lost his hair and things which means this is after the Apocalypse, but in the apocalypse, you see Jean is already an adult and while Charles and Magneto are younger. that is where Charles loses his hair. This sin has to be mentioned and of course sentenced much harsher lol.
5:01 - Dude, CRT TV's were *insanely* heavy. I had to move one just a few months ago, & I've moved couches with greater ease than the ~27 in TV I was lugging.
Xavier was shot and paralyzed in The First Class but when he meets Jean in The Last Stand he can walk. First Class took place like 30 or 40 years before Stand.
This film made it established cannon that Charles could walk when he met Jean (since it came out before First Class). Now I love First Class but they should have looked at this original trilogy before they paralyzed Charles similar to how in X-men Origins: Wolverine the base where Logan has adamantium coated onto his skeleton is on an island but in X-men 2 it was on the mainland at Akalie lake (I think that is how it's spelt)
0:48 this is supposed to be the danger room (where the x-men usually train). It first appeared in 1963 way before Star Trek next generation. Also you forgot to mention that Patrick Stewart was also in Star Trek next generation.
Yo, if I could make clones I would be blowing myself 24/7. I would never leave the goddamn house. The X-Men wouldn't even have to worry about taking me out because I would die from fucking dehydration. Xavier would be too scared to use Cerebro anymore, out of fear that he'd see me eternally busting nuts into my harem of clones. No homo tho
Yes but when was it every hinted at during the last two X-Men movies? It still counts as a sin because Brett Ratner didn't at least hint at the danger room. Instead we got two movie that might as well have been called "Wolverine and friends".
I'm confused, juggernaut should have still been able to smash through the wall when he was in the room with kitty and jimmy (leech) because his ability negates the abilities of MUTANTS not magically enhanced beings...:S
In X-Men First Class, we see young Professor X and Magneto being best buddies, but in the end of the movie, Professor X needs a wheelchair because he got hit by a bullet which Magneto accidentaly, or not "pushed away" with his powers right into Professor X. In the beginning of this movie, we can clearly see that it's been years since their friendship broke up, even after Magneto asks Professor X did he had to come, and where is the wheelchair now?
+Patricia Makoš I suppose Magneto and Charles may have decided to work back together for some time and then split again for some unknown reason. Professor X also appears walking while using his powers in 'X-Men Origins: Wolverine' so I guess he just could under the effects of a better developed drug than the one introduced in 'Days of Future Past' (where he could walk but lost his powers in the process) but that ultimately failed so he went back using the wheelchair before the events in the first X-Men movie
7:21 After pointing out Magneto's metal manipulating powers, you show a closeup of the facilitty's corrugated metal walls. Every structure on Alcatraz is potential ammo. He didn't need anyone else for this caper, he didn't even have to break Mystique out of tractor-trailer jail.
Punisher once blasted Wolverine in the face a point blank with a shotgun and Wolverine couldn't talk right for a while, until his tongue grew back. He regenerates in the comics, too. *He also shot him in the nuts.
Class is meant to categorize the level of destruction/damage a mutant can do. In the comics Jean Grey used her Phoenix powers to wipe out multiple planets, which is why she's described as being so powerful. Even Magneto couldn't match that level of power, and certainly not Wolverine. Cut Wolverine's head off or drown him and that's a wrap.
+Juls Token drowning wouldnt work as demonstrated in days of futures past and in the comics he once regenerated from a single drop of blood so i doubt cutting his head off would work either
Actually, the "grading" system makes sense, although it's never explained in the movies (probably so they could change it to serve the plot). Jean Grey is class 5, but Dark Phoenix (who is NOT Jean Grey) is Omega Class. Magneto, Prof X and Storm are class 5. Class 5 means they can act on a planetary level. Magneto can influence the Earth magnetic field (and he did modify it to restrain Xavier's telepathy). Xavier's power is physical, weirdly enough. And if Magneto hadn't nerf him, he could influence every lifeform on earth (like when he's connected to Cerebro, even stronger). Storm can play with the weather, which is complicated, complex, but so easy for her. The class system doesn't convey how strong they are, just the level at which they influence the the "world". That's why Wolverine is almost immortal, thanks to his healing factor, but since it affect just him, he's nowhere near class 5. Although a class 5 probably couldn't kill him.
Lol 4:05, never noticed that b4. Moira aged well!! I hope they bring Pyro back for Days of Future Past. He can hook up with Rogue if Bobby ditches her for Kitty, though he'd see her as weak for giving up her powers. I'm thinking the cure is temporary though.
You forgot a sin, the fact that if Callisto, Arclight, Quill, and Psylocke had a little more screen time, they'd be this trilogy's redeeming qualities rather than just another mistake. Callisto is savage, Arclight is...androgynous and honestly pretty hot, Psylocke's only two pieces of dialogue sent chills up my spine, and Quill, the savage and quick-thinking hugger that he is, is the reason I noticed the potential in the other three.
In order to show EVERYTHING wrong with this movie you need 120 mins. You need the whole movie. The whole damn thing is wrong. lol Great job though guys. Love the channel.
Uuuhm, I'm having the same sentiments as Dex Wishes here … was that in some "director's cut" version of X3? Or is this a scene from one of the later movies?!
About the classes Cyclops for instance his eyes are interdimensional portals and if he were to level up he would probably be a force to reckon with instead of getting beat up and kidnapped all the time it's a really cool setup I totally agree there are goofy mutants who can get smashed like a grape and there are mutants that can do a whole lot of smashing with no one else really being able to do much about it
a couple of major movie sin he missed was concerning the juggernaut. 1. the juggernaut is not a mutant. the juggernaut got his powers from magic, in fact he hates mutants, and yet in this movie they show him being affected by the anti-mutant macguffen. 2. the juggernaut is xavier's half brother, and not once did this steaming pile of movie did they reference it? *NOPE! ... It's Just Chuck Testa!*
I'm happy to agree with everything on the list except the 'holodeck' sin. It's called the Danger Room and it's actually canon to X-Men unlike... well, everything else in the movie.
night4345 Of course they did. Doesn't matter. That's the absolute least they could do don't you think? How upsetting it would be if, say, Wolverine never brandished his claws?
There were other parts of this list that were really unfair. Giving this movie a sin for not being in continuity with a movie made after it for example...
yu nofun No, that's really a sin. Some were thrown in there for lols but they ruined their own movie timeline with that particular one. They're all supposed to go together in the same story arc but, of course, that wasn't taken into account.
5:56 How did they get that footage if this was uploaded in July 2013? That's 10 months before the release of ASM2 and 5 months before its first teaser trailer. This isn't a re-upload either. What the heck?
Juggernaut isn't even a mutant so dunno why he lost his powers near the boy to begin with. He inherited his powers from the gem of Cyttorak. Unless ofc i missed something and that bald mutant boy saps the power of anyone and anything not just mutants.
Well, just to be frank, the best alibis are, I blame it on Nicki Minaj, Barack Obama, Obamacare, Global Warming, Deforestation, Justin Bieber, Iggy Azalea's racist comments, Russia, Adolf Hitler, Communism, Terrorism, China, Japan, Mutants, Korea, Afghanistan, Rascism and the fact that I'm the Juggernaut b*tch!
TheMajinboom Well, he is a mutant in this movie (also in Ultimate Marvel comics and X-Men Evolution cartoon), so the part with Leech negating his powers makes sense. What doesn't make sense is that he could break the concrete floor (when Kitty trapped him), and yet he couldn't break out of the truck by himself. How did they even catch him in the first place?
Well from what i remember juggernaut is not a mutant so he either wasn't supposed to be effected in that room at all or he should of felt his metal armor get heavier.
Seriously. Just land the bridge on top of the facility. Or break any metal supports on the building. All he did was get a few hundred mutants killed or sterilized. And himself sterilized (maybe just momentarily though). And got one of the most powerful forces in all of Marvel history killed. All so he could make a chess reference.
Also: *why didn't cerbro pick up angels mutant signature? isn't it built to track mutants? so wouldn't have Charles found out? *where is nightcrawler during all this? we never saw him in this movie, something tells me he would have come in use for the final battle. *why did magneto turn into hitler during that speech? *couldn't logan just use some of that cure on jean? take of some of that phoenix energy. *also, we never saw leech after this movie, As DOFP resets everything. *and Charles never had a twin brother in the comics, he had a half brother, AKA juggernut, so they messed up another origin, then again, they messed up nightcrawlers nearly, so not surprised
Zain Peterson makes no sense, the only blue people are beast and mystique and some random people we don't even know, nightcrawler should have been in there at least
J.G Wentworth PS: Ironically, only 10% who are awake of what's going on knows exactly what the symbol means and it's easy to misunderstand it, so it's cool. The Star of David is suppose to represent True Jews of Judaism whom practice it, not the perverse and racist ideology of Zionism. (But you should really research the Origin of the Star of David relating to Mayer Amschel) PPS: JG Wentworth IS a shitty company and YES it is a Zionistic business method because the owner is a Zionistic Jew. (I'm in the same line of work and know my competitors) and didn't know about your inside joke and I am picky of whom I consider friends. PPPS: It is forbidden in their own Torah that Jews are not allowed to have a home state. People don't hate Jews and expel them from the world for 4,000 years for no reason....have you even read their Talmud? It's pretty messed up. PPPPS: Might want to research "Petrodollar", you will find it's origin very interesting.
J.G Wentworth I don't promote either religions but the difference between them is that both Quran and Talmud promotes pedophilia. (Plus more...) Last I've checked, their G-d didn't put it in text in their Bible by making it Law for Pastors/Priests allowing them to have sex with children at the age of 2 compared to the Q'ran and Talmudic Laws...although I can't speak for the Catholic Church on that part. LOL
WeakPuppet True, i can understand you on that point... :/ May i ask what it was that you found bad about the movie? This is the first time ive heard someone say the whole film was bad, so im intrigued...
Another sin was that Gambit wasn't in this. Back in the cartoon days I loved him for all the ways he took the piss out of Scott and Wolverine. Also Gambit/Rogue was waaay more awesome than that boring scott/jean/wolverine bullshit..
This is my opinion but juggernaut probably lost his powers due to him standing near the boy for to long at most he nust knocked himself out for a few hrs had he standed a bit longer he would of smashed his head
1. Why is Charles walking when in First Class he gets shot in the back at the end? 2. The nurse is conveniently named the same as the CIA agent in First Class. And is British because Moira is the most British name ever.
Didn't Archangel fly from Vancouver Canada? (That appears to be Holy Rosary Cathedral and this film was partly shot in Vancouver) How did he get to San Francisco so quick?
But the scene at the end with Erik playing chess against himself was pretty damn sad.
Erik W. S. Even sadder considering that he used to play chess with Charles.

You forgot a sin, the fact that Colossus doesn't have his Russian accent
Colossus can switch between flesh and metal, his power is to turn in metal. Flesh colossus is 6 ft. Deadpool Colossus is too big for comic colossus
+C Fergi not everythin is based around the deadpool movie my Friend, that movie changed certain things from the comics too
I didn't mention deadpool at all, I was talking about the xmen movies which I've seen like 10 times each
+C Fergi yea but you thought that colossus was a big guy in metal form all the time, which he never was in anything but deadpool, so you can tell where you're gettin your info from
***** that's my point he's different depending on what he's in
that Storm burn though
i feel like i should be defensive since shes my fav, but all i did was giggle
Storm is my fav, but not in this universe
Storm is no joke.

wow, you didnt even touch on the scene where Mystique was "cured" and for some reason she had makeup on after being transformed to a human form
Why does every Xmen movie just say "Fuck the leader of the Xmen, we'll make Katniss and Wolverine the stars instead of Cyclops"
yeah I don't like them being leaders of the X-Men. Mystique is far better as a villain, and Wolverine seems much more like a solo hero (which he is) than as a group leader
Yeah Cyclops is my favorite character, he is the leader of the X men, he should be the star!!
Those rubber lips from the old Batman and Robin movies that are really come in handy for Rogue

Hence the "What have I done?!" exclamation moment - coming to terms with that he's to blame for dooming them all (mutants and humans) to the wrath of the Phoenix.

kratoscallofduty Biggest sin: try to adapt something as complex as the Phoenix Saga into a side story
kratoscallofduty Blame the comic books on that one. One of the few times the movie follows the books, we get a stupid decision. From another point though, Jean Gray would be left with too much guilt, killing her significant other, her respected teacher, and hell nameless army soldiers and other nameless mutants.

His origin is cool
and so's his powers, they aren't really giving cyclops the justice he deserves.
shane55pwnt Fun fact, Wolverine is 4 foot 3 inch and was an experiment that turned a wolverine into a man like wolverine who never wanted Jean.
FichDichInDemArsch So.....Wolverine's healing factor?
FichDichInDemArsch That would take a considerable amount of power by Cyclops, I don't think it would be that easy for him to hit Wolverine with that kind of power.

Xylarxcode Well then, if Wolverine got there and survived it, that means two things: either it was bullshit *ding* or the dart could get there.
CZProtton
Wolverine got there because his healing factor compensated for Jean's ability to rip him apart.
Wasn't expecting the "Nerd" line, caught me by surprise lol
More sins I found while watching it:
At the end, against Phoenix, the "Cure" kid runs away from her, then Wolverine says "I'm the only one who can stop her." Um, why not send the kid in to give her a hug.
Well done for picking all the mistakes he missed!
You are very observant. When I watch I just watch like an idiot. First I thought this movie was ok, but now I realize how stupid the plot is.
kaputasri all movies have fails... thats not new.. so if a movie has fails is a bad one, all movies are bad ones?
TheKILGOR24251
1) Everything she does is an extension of her TK.

XD
+SisterhoodofXMETAS You're right but Juggy is human, his helmet give his powers
But it's still a sin because they have trapped him WITH the helmet on!
With Juggernaut being human and having magic based powers Leech wouldn't have any effect on him.
But in the movie, Juggernaut is a mutant like all other mutants. There is no magic in the X-Men movies.

SolarsEdge Maybe, yet, he can decide how much force to use, just like normal people, just the right amount of force to not break it and enough so it doesn't slip.
+jp mesquita yep..
Alberto Hinojosa
but he's applying that much force on a small amount of the surface of that tv. wouldn't it damage that area?
Sin: Juggernaut lost his powers to the boy who cured *Mutant* abilities.
Because in this version he IS a mutant.
which is dumb cause he isnt
GamingSage Obviously he isn't in regular canon. But I can see why they just had him be a mutant in this one, since it is easier to explain that to do the whole divine energy stone thing in an asian temple or whatever it was that gave him powers.
And since Cinema Sins doesn't excuse sins because "It's explained in the book" and book reference material doesn't apply here, then it also can't count for a sin.
Aren't they still homo sapiens even if they some sort of mutation?
Rusty Ray technically if they can breed with humans, which they can, they are the same species.
kieran10202 Not necessarily, horses and donkeys can breed with each other, but they're not the same species.
the offspring is sterile though, so the breeding is not "successful" and they aren't considered a species, as they can't descend any further.

Concerning Wolverine not dying when drowning:
Wolverine cannot die from natural causes, but he CAN be knocked out and/or pass out. So, when his lungs fill up with water no oxygen gets to his brain, but since his brain is always healing, it just means he would pass out until oxygen can be sent to his brain again.
Darius "Just Another Atheist" M When did he actually drown in this movie?
Towards the end of Days of Future Past. Magneto throws him into the water and he basically passes out. He wakes up as soon as he is found by the rescue party. So obviously he did not die from this. If he did, then he would not be alive in the future, and he clearly was.
Darius "Just Another Atheist" M Sigh... this is Last Stand video, not Days of Future Past. Thatks for the spoiler...

Spoiler, really? You STILL haven't seen Days of Future Past. That's on you.
How does the Golden Gate Bridge not collapse? Even if magneto was still holding it up, it should have fallen when he lost his power.
Magneto merely dropped the bridge onto Alcatraz.. He wasn't holding it up the entire duration of the last battle.
+Typhonua then let me ask: why didn't it just fall into the ocean?
+TheoneandonlyCrowMan Alcatraz is in the bay. Not at the ocean side. It is shallow water. I guess bridge was just placed "correctly" lol
+TheoneandonlyCrowMan watch the movie dickwad. Its connected to land
+King Ghidorah yes all the supports under it had been severed, it should have still collapsed at the center, sure it's a suspension bridge, but that doesn't matter now that the bridge really isn't actually connected to anywhere, it's just resting.

Fady El-Zike So.. mutant powers have a will of their own? To control people? Like the One Ring?
huggingcacti Not all ice is H2O, though. You can freeze oxygen, which would be bad luck for any hungry fire.

What's funny to me is that everyone is singing praises to Simon Kinberg for writing Days of Future Past, but HE ALSO WROTE X-MEN 3.
Actually Matthew Vaughn was supposed to direct X-Men 3 but backed out for "personal reasons"
Matthew Vaughn was also one of the writers for Days of Future Past, I do hope they keep him around.
It goes to show you that studio interference can make a great scriptwriter turn out something bad. Also helps he had a good director behind him
This is very true.
All The Cure jokes had me in stitches, especially the ones about Magneto starting a The Cure tribute band. X-DD
Angel had to be the most sorely underused mutant in the entire franchise, competing with Cyclops being the most shafted character in the franchise period. (If there was a superpower to be had, it's the ability to Fly and have wings like a Bird. I love that superpower; It's not much, but at least you get to fly, right?)
And Wolverine takes top Billing, as usual. And other characters with interesting mutant powers are also given the shaft right after their one-scene wonder where they display their superpower for mundane reasons.
I'm starting to see where Ratner got his reputation for directing.
Nearly a year later Cyclops is brought back so cinemasins is right no one in this series stays dead!
Rawk4Life
He's referring to the latest movie, X-Men: Days of Future Past. Plus, Cyclopes didn't die in First Class. Also, someone had posted earlier that young Cyclopes will be in Apocalypse.
6:47 - "Who's hiding, dickhead?" was probably my favorite line from that movie.
+Ernie Velveeta Considering the quality of the script this isn't saying much.
Zero the Faceless Indeed.
He forgot the "Golden Gate Bridge is always attacked or destroyed somehow" Cliche.
5:01 - Dude, CRT TV's were *insanely* heavy. I had to move one just a few months ago, & I've moved couches with greater ease than the ~27 in TV I was lugging.
I totally thought Jeremy was going to give one of his lines about how dated a scene/movie is when you see obsolete technology in them.
James Brooks um watch origins again its not an island, the island is where all the captured mutants are kept
Sorry I haven't seen Origins in a long time I got it mixed up, but my point about First Class still stands though
agreed
Sweet need to go see it then.
0:48 this is supposed to be the danger room (where the x-men usually train). It first appeared in 1963 way before Star Trek next generation. Also you forgot to mention that Patrick Stewart was also in Star Trek next generation.
1:38 convenience Sin. What if the wheel was slightly tilted to form a + instead of a x? That would ruin the transition. +1 sin to the counter.
multiple man could have technically been prison raping himself while in prison.
+Ibis Fernandez That is clearly the most logical conclusion.
Is that rape....
Umm dude might want to go see a therapist if your mind goes to that lengths of what a guy could do to himself. Still funny though.
No homo tho
I think that would be called 'incesturbation.' 😂🤣
At 5:09, anyone know where the "brilliant!" is from? Sounds very Irish-accenty.
I blame magneto for Charles's death
bonds927 I blame your mom
2 years later....so it’s magnetos fault that Xavier dies? Referencing Logan 😂
The X-men had the Danger Room LONG before Star Trek had their holodeck
***** Me. Nuff said.
Yes but when was it every hinted at during the last two X-Men movies? It still counts as a sin because Brett Ratner didn't at least hint at the danger room. Instead we got two movie that might as well have been called "Wolverine and friends".
***** The original series premiered in 1966, not '65. Just saying...
***** This nerd is a dick to cinema sins. DING
Harry Potter had the Room of Requirement...oh wait, that came after.
I'm confused, juggernaut should have still been able to smash through the wall when he was in the room with kitty and jimmy (leech) because his ability negates the abilities of MUTANTS not magically enhanced beings...:S
In the movies Juggernaut is a mutant, rather than the dirty enhanced being he is in the comics.
this is one reason last stand is crap
***** I would prefer the first modern attempt to be at least 98% accurate , they have years to destroy what the original comic put together !
***** It's one of his defining characteristics that he isn't a mutant but has magical powers.
***** really shouldn't have been in the movie all together honestly.
SPOILER ALERT
Yeah... cyclops comes back in Days of futre past...
That's not another prequel?
no its not
right at the end he is standing by professor x's office
SPOILERS
Same with Jean xd
Haha I was just about to leave a comment about that! It's good to have Cyclops and Jean back for the next movie!
Sin 73: cinemasins accidentally inspires ultron's evil plan in Age of Ultron.
Why isn't Wolverine a Class 5? He can regenerate from any wound (In the films) and his only real weakness is Magneto.
Punisher once blasted Wolverine in the face a point blank with a shotgun and Wolverine couldn't talk right for a while, until his tongue grew back.
He regenerates in the comics, too.
*He also shot him in the nuts.
lol. That dude should see a therapist, maybe.
+Deon Woods He has had his head cut off once aswell.
Although a class 5 probably couldn't kill him.
lets not forget xavier walking after being shot in the spine in first class
Did I miss it or did Cinema Sins miss an opportunity to insert some music from "the Cure" at some point during this?
Lol 4:05, never noticed that b4. Moira aged well!! I hope they bring Pyro back for Days of Future Past. He can hook up with Rogue if Bobby ditches her for Kitty, though he'd see her as weak for giving up her powers. I'm thinking the cure is temporary though.
No... Rogue and Gambit... it needs to happen!
I didn't know Professor X was alive at the end?!?
Did I miss something?!
He transfers his conciossnis (sorry I spelt it wrong) to his brain dead twin when he dies
Jake Vike Mmmkay....I didn't know about this twin....And plus it's okay I can't spell either 😂
Uuuhm, I'm having the same sentiments as Dex Wishes here … was that in some "director's cut" version of X3? Or is this a scene from one of the later movies?!
Wolfgang Trubshaw Exactly!
well then wouldn't the twin be able to walk
1:32 That had me laughing, and I was drinking something. Good thing I have self-control or I'd be cleaning up a mess now
About the classes Cyclops for instance his eyes are interdimensional portals and if he were to level up he would probably be a force to reckon with instead of getting beat up and kidnapped all the time it's a really cool setup I totally agree there are goofy mutants who can get smashed like a grape and there are mutants that can do a whole lot of smashing with no one else really being able to do much about it
a couple of major movie sin he missed was concerning the juggernaut.
1. the juggernaut is not a mutant. the juggernaut got his powers from magic, in fact he hates mutants, and yet in this movie they show him being affected by the anti-mutant macguffen.
2. the juggernaut is xavier's half brother, and not once did this steaming pile of movie did they reference it? *NOPE! ... It's Just Chuck Testa!*
They are using another incarnation of the juggernaut from the Ultimate storyline. There Juggernaut is a mutant and he isn't Xavier's brother.
There is no spoon....
Sorcerous Of Storms there is only the knife and fork ... and sometime chopsticks.
*shudders in fear of the mighty spork*
as well you should...
I seemed to have forgotten MOST of this movie, even though I'm sure I saw it. I guess I was living the dream.
I'm happy to agree with everything on the list except the 'holodeck' sin. It's called the Danger Room and it's actually canon to X-Men unlike... well, everything else in the movie.
that's not fair they finally showed iceman becoming well a ice man.
night4345 Of course they did.
This whole movie was a mistake.
Not anymore, now that Days of Future Past came out.
Thank God for DOFP.
***** Watch the movie, it is self-explanatory.
The whole series was a mistake. How do you make the leader of the X-men a whiny little bitch side-character?
Yup. Cyclops is so lame in the films.
You forgot that Juggernaut didn't notice giant metal shit he is wearing get heavier when he entered a room where his powers don't work.
TheMajinboom
Well, he is a mutant in this movie (also in Ultimate Marvel comics and X-Men Evolution cartoon), so the part with Leech negating his powers makes sense.
How does that make any sense ? lol
7:00 EXACTLY. "Pawns go first", my ass. In actual battle you send the strongest first. After the aerial bombardment. F***king Brett Ratner
***** But if that's the case, then he shouldn't be talking about chess at all because this was an actual battle.
Seriously. Just land the bridge on top of the facility. Or break any metal supports on the building. All he did was get a few hundred mutants killed or sterilized. And himself sterilized (maybe just momentarily though). And got one of the most powerful forces in all of Marvel history killed. All so he could make a chess reference.
7:35 Pyro can’t create fire, only control it. However, Bobby creates the ice and that’s how it isn’t equally matched.
How did Wolverine sneak into the camp? Wouldn't Magneto sense his skeleton a mile away?
***** Magneto sensed metal in X2 when he sensed the extra iron in the guard's blood.
4:17 but also, love triangle girl for Iceman inconveniently 8 years younger than Iceman
Also:
*why didn't cerbro pick up angels mutant signature? isn't it built to track mutants? so wouldn't have Charles found out?
*where is nightcrawler during all this? we never saw him in this movie, something tells me he would have come in use for the final battle.
*why did magneto turn into hitler during that speech?
*couldn't logan just use some of that cure on jean? take of some of that phoenix energy.
*also, we never saw leech after this movie, As DOFP resets everything.
*and Charles never had a twin brother in the comics, he had a half brother, AKA juggernut, so they messed up another origin, then again, they messed up nightcrawlers nearly, so not surprised
true, but I say we should have seen nightcrawler
megan willard too many blue people?
Zain Peterson makes no sense, the only blue people are beast and mystique and some random people we don't even know, nightcrawler should have been in there at least
megan willard my god it was just a joke, dont take it seriously. i was joking about the amount of blue x-men characters
Zain Peterson Indeed, why aren't there like green or yellow people? We've got one red one with Azazel, but almost all the others are blue.
Cinemasins... blows out people's mind... with those so many twists and suprises!
Every time Magneto speaks I keep thinking it's Gandalf talking, lol
Gaydalf.
Well, Sir Ian McKellen is gay, lol, but I still think he's a brilliant actor :)
W0lvesKey He's also brilliant with men too...lol
J.G Wentworth
PS: Ironically, only 10% who are awake of what's going on knows exactly what the symbol means and it's easy to misunderstand it, so it's cool. The Star of David is suppose to represent True Jews of Judaism whom practice it, not the perverse and racist ideology of Zionism. (But you should really research the Origin of the Star of David relating to Mayer Amschel)
PPS: JG Wentworth IS a shitty company and YES it is a Zionistic business method because the owner is a Zionistic Jew.
(Plus more...)
Last I've checked, their G-d didn't put it in text in their Bible by making it Law for Pastors/Priests allowing them to have sex with children at the age of 2 compared to the Q'ran and Talmudic Laws...although I can't speak for the Catholic Church on that part. LOL
I thought this movie was bad... then came days of future past and x-men 3 didn't seem awful anymore
I think you and Brett Ratner are the only living lifeforms who think that way.
SuperHarryFan
this movie is bad but at least it has some kind of sense... dofp is an utter failure
WeakPuppet Tell that to the thousand of fans whom you just pissed off...
Natboy129 if this fans are so moronic to get upset just by the opinion of a total stranger, I couldn't care less
WeakPuppet True, i can understand you on that point... :/
May i ask what it was that you found bad about the movie? This is the first time ive heard someone say the whole film was bad, so im intrigued...
Another sin was that Gambit wasn't in this. Back in the cartoon days I loved him for all the ways he took the piss out of Scott and Wolverine. Also Gambit/Rogue was waaay more awesome than that boring scott/jean/wolverine bullshit..
Gambit would've been a perfect role in The Last Stand and Days of Future Past instead of just Origins Wolverine
The juggernaut powers are magical he shouldn't have been affected by that mutant kid
This is my opinion but juggernaut probably lost his powers due to him standing near the boy for to long at most he nust knocked himself out for a few hrs had he standed a bit longer he would of smashed his head
@@alexpena4091 no morons...in THE MOVIE JUGGERNAUT IS A MUTANT
Juggernaut actually isn't a mutant so the boy shouldn't have worked on him.
His power comes from a magical gem.
***** gem of cyttorak...
*****
Stereoids
HE WAS A MUTANT IN THIS MOVIE
1. Why is Charles walking when in First Class he gets shot in the back at the end?
2. The nurse is conveniently named the same as the CIA agent in First Class. And is British because Moira is the most British name ever.
Josie Alyvia he's walking because it is a flashback
Didn't you see First Class? He gets shot in the back and paralyzed when he's in his late 20's.
Glad someone finally caught the Charles walking presumably after he'd been paralyzed thing.
The prequels disregard xmen:last stand and the origins series i think. Good thing, too.
Josie Alyvia Well in DoFP he did use a serum that healed his legs at cost of his powers, so possibility is there.
Didn't Archangel fly from Vancouver Canada? (That appears to be Holy Rosary Cathedral and this film was partly shot in Vancouver) How did he get to San Francisco so quick?
Add another "ding."
Why? Because Brett Ratner.
Archangel isn't the same as Angel
Sorry, I thought they called him Archangel in the movie.
Lee Rask
Angel becomes Archangel... so he pretty much is the same... but I get what you're saying.
I absolutely love these videos, keep up the good work! Really helped me with my depression.
