This looks interesting. I think your probably right on the themed/faction/time period releases. I don't think its going to be anything like a Warhammer/Games Workshop release (maybe like Underworlds or Titanicus as some have already said). My guess it's going to be more like Fantasy Flights X Wing or Shatter Point (or whoever took over from FF), some sort of small scale skirmish game with few game types. From a painting and modelling side of things the kits/sets look pretty good with some nice scope for some custom paint jobs too.
@hoshi314 Closest comparison that GW has is the Warhammer Underworlds boxes. 3+ models, a deck of cards for the models involved. Though, you're paying anywhere from 10 to 20 US more depending on the box.
I think it's gonna be like this: each set has one or 1-2 main units, like the RX-78-2 and the gun cannon or char's zaku, and then a few other generic grunt-type units, so that you can form your team right out the box, but that's just what i figured, bc 20 dollars for just one 2 inch tall figure is absolutely ATROCIOUS.
@@pudinossaurodeleite8125 there’s a better option in my opinion if you have a bunch of hg,rg or mg you can use them instead specially if you can get the cards for each unit separately
There's been some images of sprues, the one for Heroic Beginnings has at least one of them shown which is the RX-78-2, GunCannon, and GunTank which can be broken apart into separate sub ones, so having all three together makes sense, possibly with a sprue with GMs and/or Balls.
When i look at the board they revealed, the bases etc. My first thought, is it isnt 40k. Instead it looks like it will be closer to Battletech, or Warhammer Underworlds.
@ZEROstig It's arguably the most popular miniature tabletop game. Space Marine 2 and Secret Level have brought a LOT of attention to the hobby. So it is the easiest comparison.
I see that the Archangel ship from Seed is in the game and its only 3 hex bases long. So based on that, it seems like they don't really care about scale for this game and its going to be more of a board game with more abstract game play than a miniture war game thats more of a simulation.
@flamebiter567 Only downside is needing to track down versions of the games for where you live. I'm hoping to find a decently priced version of Genesis that's Oceania since there isn't a US released one, and that one includes english
Feels better just take the normal size models, the bases and increase the map size and just use the rules to play this instead of buying this minis and painting them. -.-
They’re out of their minds 😂😂😂😂 Everything is so over priced And no it will not be a flat $20 rate LOL You’re basing this on the current market rate which bandai doesn’t follow. You can expect these to be around $30-35 per each set and unpainted

3 minis and a deck for 35$. When you compare this to GW this..... feels a lot better.... but only when you compare it to GW

3 mins and A Gundam starter deck for only 35$ is insane

@flamebiter567 Yeah it would be so easy for them to sell unpainted HG that come with extras for the game
Laughs in Warhammer where one single 2 inch figure is $50. 😂

Warhammer 40K is more of a normy term

you can still use your own HG,RG,MG & kotobukiya does have some parts of the different ships that scale with 1/144
each set has 3 models. its stated in the title of the article you referenced.
@@optiondezzo I corrected it in the video
As one note, there is, already, a gundam game series that is similar. It's the SD Gundam G-Generation series
Yeah I own all of them

Then one falls from the table and goodbye
I'll put my p-bandai neo zong on the table and win the game !
Only if you go first and put your PGU on the table to play.

thats always gonna happen even if I gave it with that bandai tax people will complain about not saying how much shipping is lol
As a 40k player, it's still a bit pricy, but it's better than a single 40k character usually costing either the same or more.
