Kai and Lay are the main dancers of EXO. Both are really amazing dancers with different style.
I suggest Honey and Namanana dance practice.
Thanks for reacting to EXO Lay.

Lay is an ambassador for China, so one of his goals is to share Chinese culture with the world. One way he is doing this is by creating his own style of music which he has labeled M-pop. M-Pop stands for Mixed-pop, which means he mixes traditional Chinese elements and sounds with mainstream pop and hip-hop beats and styles -- combining old school Chinese culture with new modern hip-hop and contemporary beats and styles.
The story in "Flying Apsaras" was inspired by Chinese mythology or folktales. Apsaras are spiritual immortal beings that can fly -- similar to angels -- which are based on Hindu and Buddhist beliefs. Flying apsaras are most often found in hieroglyph images as part of ancient Chinese cave murals. Lay even shot part of what was going to be the MV at the cite of some of these caves. So, a lot of the pictures you see them making in this dance are designed to look like the images of the flying apsaras from those drawings.
The choreography has also been designed to highlight Chinese culture by using a lot of traditionally Chinese dance moves and styles. The choreographer that Lay worked with was Huang Xiao who is a member of his team from the dance competition show that Lay was a team captain on last year called Street Dance of China season 4, and the other dancers are all members of Huang Xiao's Hello Dance crew.
Lay is a singer, rapper, songwriter, composer, producer actor, director, editor, dancer, designer, etc. -- genius -- and with every new release of his, he just one ups himself. When it comes to Lay's solo work he does it all -- he writes, composes and produces the songs (including the rap sections), he even creates all his own beats, he has a large part in creating the choreography and he has a hand in coming up with and directing the MVs. It is also all financed by him. He even owns his own production company called Zhangyixing Studios, which is named after Lay. (Zhang Yixing is Lay's real name. Lay is a stage name given to him by SM Entertainment.)
As you might know, Lay is the Chinese member of EXO and he was originally meant to fill the same role in EXO-M -- the Mandarin Chinese sub-unit of EXO -- that Kai fills in EXO-K -- the Korean sub-unit of EXO. Kai is one of the top two BEST dancers in Korea (Taemin from SHINee being the other top dancer) and Lay is one of the top dancers in China.
Lay's catchphrase is "Balance" which means that when it comes to choreography and synchronization it has to have balance. If it's not balanced then it's not good. So his attention to detail when he creates music and choreography is on point.
He is so highly respected within the Chinese music and dance community that he is considered an authority figure. He has even started his own Idol trainee company in China -- with SM's blessing -- called Chromasome where he plans to use his talents to influence the world entertainment industry and to pass his skills and knowledge on to the next generation. (And he's not just head of the company in name alone, he is super hands-on in everything he does.)
He is regarded as an expert at so many different things because when he decides to do something he becomes hyper focused with the goal of being the best at it. Like all of SM's top dancers, Lay is super dedicated when it comes to dance and music. He literally spends 6 hours every day in the dance studio practicing, regardless of how busy his schedule is. Some of his favorite sayings are "Try hard, work harder" and "Talent is only 1% of what you need to succeed, hard work, dedication and a grateful/humble heart is what makes up the other 99%."
Lay is a perfectionist and he is never satisfied unless everything exceeds his expectations, which is why he only released a short 40 second visualizer using a few clips from what was going to be the MV, and we don't have a full MV for "Flying Apsaras" yet. He wasn't happy with the final product. This is also why Lay is involved in all aspects of his music. He takes pride in the fact that all parts of his work is done by him, so he wants it to be extremely high quality because it's his reputation that's on the line if things aren't up to his standard.
His new album -- which is the album "Flying Apsaras" is on -- is called East.
Fun fact: I believe the dragon in his "Flying Apsaras" visualizer clip is connected to the dragon we see in Lay's previous MV, "Lit." If you haven't seen the visualizer or his MV for "Lit" yet, you really should check it out.

I've been listening to only classical music for more than 30 years. Then one day in late 2021, this dance practice popped up on my TH-cam page (probably because I like doing aerobic dance in the gym). And that's the very beginning of my journey becoming an EXO-L.

Thank you for reacting to Lay. He really is such a fine dancer, another all-rounder member of EXO ;) You may want to check out his LIT MV which was well-produced (2020) . It also has a Dance Practice vid. I know you'll enjoy it too :D

Thanks for the reaction. It is great to hear you have your interest piqued about yixing (aka Lay). He is a great musician and dancer. The music you hear was also produced by him (made the beat, directed vocals etc). Unfortunately, no MV, only visualizer, saw someone already commented on it. There were problems post-production and he wasn't happy how it turned out, so he didn't release it.
In terms of lyrics, this song like someone said was inspired by the Buddhist myth of flying apsaras (gods of music and dance). It has layered meanings beyond just the cultural part of it. It speaks of a story from the olden times when people portrayed their dreams of flying in myths like flying apsaras, and many other myths where people admired the sky and its beings, to the process of it like the silkroad contributing to the progress of today, and finally the launching of spacecraft into space, fulfilling humans dreams to explore the sky. Mainly holding the meaning of how dreams can sound ridiculous in the beginning, and they take years, millenias to cultivate, and when it is finally fulfilled, no one laughs anymore. This is because he is constantly laughed at for his dreams to bring Chinese music to the world, by his own countrymen, or even outside.
Lay is a great artist all around, I hope you'll get to dive deeper into his other dances and works. He is more interested in krumping, makes it his goal to master that dance, but he also dabbles in many other styles. Mainly, he wants to combine Chinese style dances with other dance styles to create something unique to the Chinese.
And yep, he's not Korean, nor does he do K-pop, he is pushing for a genre he calls M-pop (mixed mandarin pop), in which he is finding the sound for it and has been encouraging many fellow artist who are also his countrymen to join him in doing so.

I hope this helps :) In terms of suggestions, I'm sure there's already quite a few at the bottom. Since Flying Apsaras is the latest, you can say, it is his latest form of growth in dance style as well. So something to keep in mind when you look at his older stuff, he is constantly evolving as he looks for his sound and direction.

Something you might be interested to watch (at your leisure and not necessarily to react to) would be Streetdance of China which Lay was a captain of for 2 seasons. Jackson Wang is also another captain as well as Wang Yibo (also a Chinese K-Pop idol) th-cam.com/play/PLOHG5PB2LOcjJlfiAxIjfT8ysJDAgC90d.html
