    An FYI...Windows Mixed Reality support was REMOVED from Windows 11 after one of the more recent updates. Not that it is no longer supported, but actually removed.

    I think battery life and lack of proper confort can be good. I mean, who wants to spend more than "2 hours" inside that world... we want to spend time in real world too. Anyway, we are not there yet, maybe in the future someone can prefer "a night stand" kind of experience in a perfect virtual world you cannot tell apart but, for several years, fortunatelly, we have this world to go back to and find adorable things like reading books or spend time with other human beings if we are like enough to have them around.

    Bad "review". This is not review at all, but just showing all devices that ever existed. This is just a clickbait.

    nerdiest tech trap

    • @ContinuumGaming
      @ContinuumGaming หลายเดือนก่อน

      I would not say "trap". I am using VR headsets for years now. It is just a gaming device, mainly with community aspects to it. You will not be the greatest mechanic tomorrow with it, but it is a nice experience for simulations (like driving or flying simulators) and with VRChat and other social platforms it can be a nice way to find, talk, sing, play, etc. with other people all over the world.
      (on a much more personal level than social media and so on would be)
      Do you need it? I would say in the same way somebody "needs" social media or needs a Playstation. It is just fun. If you do not like that kind of fun, don't use it.

    The rift s is not longer made, the quest 2 is not longer made, all windows headset are toast as windows no longer supports them. You are a pretty sad researcher.

    Why can't all VR headsets have kerosene batteries like kitchen appliances? Wouldn't it be nice if headset batteries lasted longer than the ownings of a goldfish with ADD? Just imagine how much more you'd achieve in pretend land, LOL.

      To flee from the oddness sometimes... anyway that is like asking "who needs movies", "who needs a series", "who needs games" or "who needs art or music"?

    Do you guys think VR is actually going to replace traditional gaming? Or is it just a flashy gimmick for people with too much cash and free time? Seems a bit much just to escape reality for two hours.

    • @ContinuumGaming
      @ContinuumGaming หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I think it will not replace traditional gaming, it is an addition to it. I don't think it is a flashy gimmick neighter. It just is fun sometimes and traditional gaming can be fun on other times... it depends on what I want to do. VR is more like personal community (for instance with VRChat, RecRoom or other community apps like that) and playing certain experiences and games more immersive, but I do not want that all the time. Sometimes I want to do that, sometimes I like gaming on a smartphone, sometimes I just want to play with my mouse and keyboard.

    VR headsets: modern clown shoes. You really think looking like a cyborg is cool? I bet in 5 years, we'll be laughing at this.

    • @ContinuumGaming
      @ContinuumGaming หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Who cares how they look? They are not meant to be worn to a dinner party but to be played at home in your room. Do you look nice with curlers in your hair or with old sweat pants?
      You missunderstand the usage of those headsets. They are not meant to be worn a day long but only if you want to play something in a nicer way then looking at a TV / computer.
      They MIGHT lead to something with a new use case scenario like daily worn glasses which might replace your smartphone, but at the moment, they are not meant to be that.

    who else thinks these vr headsets make people look like they're wearing alien spacesuits? Human evolution really has come to this - grown adults putting screens on their heads like tech zombies. How embarrassing can it get?

    • @ContinuumGaming
      @ContinuumGaming หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      And why exactly is this important? You are alone in your room when you play with them 99% of the time. They are not meant to be the next "smartphone" replacement. At least not in their current stage. This is like saying "your sweat pants do not look like fancy silk pants". Sure they do not, but I am not really meant to wear them to a dinner party but to feel comfortable and warm in my own home or maybe in a play field were everybody does play with them.
      So who cares how they look?

    A lot of these headsets make you look like you're gearing up for a cosplay convention when you're just in your living room playing games. If you really want to immerse yourself in a fantasy world, maybe pick up a book and save yourself the headache of VR-induced motion sickness. Plus, reading doesn't require you to shell out thousands of dollars or fight with tangled cords!

    who even needs vr headsets when you can just imagine stuff in your head, amirite?? like seriously, only nerds use these overpriced helmets to avoid reality. get a grip on life instead of strapping gadgets to your face!

    • @ContinuumGaming
      @ContinuumGaming หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Cool, so you never watch movies, never look a series and never play a game on your smartphone or look at social media or look at art in a gallery?

  • @TaniyaSen-yn7ck
    @TaniyaSen-yn7ck หลายเดือนก่อน

    Some ppl act like VR is the future but it's just a high-tech way to avoid reality. why not just go outside and enjoy life instead of looking like a robot with a fishbowl on your head? plus, the battery life makes these headsets more like overpriced paperweights.

      Bros straight out of frown town 💀

    • @ContinuumGaming
      @ContinuumGaming หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Who says this is meant to be fashion? Since when is playing a game on a computer or playing on a Playstation Fashion? You totally missunderstood these headsets. They are not meant to be worn on a daily basis any certainly not all day long. It is just a nother way of playing but more personal and direct.
      And in the end, this is even a much more sporty way of playing.
      VR means doing movement while normal gaming on your smartphone or on your computer/console is much less active. I would say compared to that, it is a good way of playing games.
      And just to let you know: I read every day before I go to sleep even in an "old fashioned" book and like it.
      Using VR is not prefenting you from doing anything else.
      Otherwise I would have to ask you why you do have the time to watch TH-cam videos and comment on here, if you are so busy reading books all the time?
