The Echelon Mall in South Jersey looks exactly like this. Boscovs is the only tenant left but you can still walk through the food court and some of the old mall corridor which is completely empty. It's creepy and depressing. 30 Years ago you couldnt find a single parking spot during the holidays.
hi, i visited the mall with friends right after this to shoot some footage for a before/after type documentary, personally this wasn’t my local mall but the vibe was insane legitimately, it’s shocking to think that retail shifts can happen this quickly and that before you know it, it’ll just be all rubble, i plan to come back in mid-march to shoot more footage as more stores continue to close before the inevitable demolition, this was either way a very insightful video man and it helped me learn a little more about the way this mall was before everything went downhill
Guess Eastontown, NJ is not doing very well anymore. I remember this mall when I live relatively close to it 15 years ago - but now it is pretty much vacant. I guess this mall is not much longer for this world and it will be repurposed to some other use - like an Amazon distribution center since everyone orders online now. Now live in CT and the malls near me - Danbury Fair Mall in Danbury, CT and the Norwalk, CT mall called the SoNo Mall - are both relatively heavily used. SoNo is odd in that it just opened two years ago, the newest and last mall built in America.
Quite melancholy. Take it out of its misery and demo it. Sad to see since I used to kick it with my boys the late 2010s, also used to get my haircut done here back in like 2010-2013ish. All books gotta come to an end.

Need to point camera up more. The ground isn't that interesting.
this is sad this mall was my childhood spot the 80's was amazing there
Me and my friends used to go to that mall and just walk around, that was back in 2015 i think, times have changed since then lol
Hell if you go up Rt 36 by Hazlet its littered with empty abandoned stores like Bradlees, (yes its still there)
