One of my childhood malls and where I used to take my 19 year old son when he was little. I have moved away but still return to the area to visit family and see a specialist down 36. It’s so sad 😢 Great video Doomie! I really appreciate your sarcasm. It makes me chuckle as I watch your videos.
Was that an old Johnny Rockets, at 2:22? Good video. Late edit: rewatching this video, is THE first time I ever realized this Monmouth(for Monmouth Mall) is pronounced differently, versus say like the town of Monmouth, Illinois.
It really was a beautiful mall, and to add gravy to the meatloaf, it looks like they still had a couple of their anchor stores left. Still, that alone wasn't enough to save the place. Unlike every other person who thinks they're a retail theorist, I've no idea why malls as practical things have largely started to go the way of the Studebaker, Edsel and Saturn. It makes me sad to see them go, but like so many other things in life, it's all well beyond my control. Thanks for another top-notch video, Dooms!
Thanks and Keep em Rolling!
The food court ceiling aesthetics are really cool. I really like them. Good upload Doomie, as always.😊

Another well produced video Doomie. Keep em Rolling!
Dang... that place looks like it is in good shape, too.
Love that stone entrance. Google is still showing this mall as open

thats crazy! I used to work at the Chipotle there!
All the malls in my area are dying except one. That would be Lynnhaven Mall in Virginia Beach.
its wasn't a bad mall some parts seemed a little bland but for a mall this old it wasn't bad we have seen much worse from much newer places
I miss malls like I miss my Grandma's gravy.
this was my childhood stomping ground im sad its reduced to a pile of rubble
The mall lasted a bit longer than WCBS 880 did…
BTW it is pronounced momuth. but ya gotta be from NJ to know that LOL
From your video it looks like this mall has no cohesion. Just a bad tunnel design.
