Howdy Folks. These Equipments is a copy of the German "Plasser & Teurer", who make the railroadlanes all over the European Railroadnet. However is it very interesting to see, how the workers make it in the present time - compared with Forgotten days and dreams

This Video is very Educational . I enjoyed watching each step and all the machinery used to do the job . Union Pacific and all American Railroads are all appreciated by us . Thank You for posting . Ray in Pa.

Great video, thanks for the upload. This explains CWR laying better than any other source I've found- the crucial bit I was missing was that shorter lengths of track are dumped lineside prior to the day, then welded together and fed into the machine on the day.

TRT909 is an amazing train two miles of track sidings and all replacing switches, crossings, and bad ties and rail with new equipment and ties made of concrete.

If you watch the video called Balfour Beatty track laying machine,You'll see that they are using steel ties an other alternative system

It's so efficient that it seems they could lay more than two miles of track per day. The narrator said each rail is 1/4 mile. Can they really only lay 8 rails on either side per day?

Only one problem as I see, I live right by the U.P. rail line with new concrete ties, The new concrete ties don't last long as I seen them breaking up & have to be replace, which means U.P is now going thur more then ever & carrying longer & heavier loads which means the concrete ties wearing out faster & as now they are replacing them again. I was wondering if then can go into hard rubber ties as I seen in other countries are using them now. Just an idea.
