- I went to Burning Man 2024 with minimal supplies and this is what happened. I try to show you some of the important gear you will need for Burning Man and the reality of camping in the open desert playa amidst dust storms that last for hours and relentless heat. It’s all about the dust! Omg it’s insane! Glad you could get a feeling for it. Next video the dust in my camping chair will turn to mud from the sweat on my body…
Don't know why it would turn anyone off, I went in 2006(only 300.00 back then)with some friends and had the time of my life, people are fantastic, the theme, art, music and shenanigans...right on GO.

Ever try a dark tent? You don't wake up at dawn and although it seems counterintuitive they keep cool. Travel with a boat then put up a tent. Go fishing a lot, helps feed us too.❤ Have a good trip.
The shiftpod is the best but even that has got to be under a separate shade structure. Any thin tent will absolutely cook you inside unless it is under separate shade. I used to build yurts out of one inch thick rmax insulation.
The Burning man😮 isn't this the area where people were stuck for days because it rained?

It’s going to be interesting watching your series, but that dust would have caused me to bail.
Haha! Absolutely anything you take there will be covered in dust and then it requires a specific cleaning process when you get home or else everything metal will rust and the dust will be there forever until cleaned. It’s insane! 🌲🌵

Yes. I arrived a week early because I volunteered to help set up the camp and got early entry pass. And by the way, the best acid at burning man is actually vinegar…🌲🌵

Super Cool. Have a handful of college buddies in their 40s now who did burning man several years back. My uncle who lives in Oracle AZ now is one of the organizers.

It’s called a shiftpod. It’s not sold on Amazon you have to go to their website. I would definitely recommend the shelter, but it is not cheap! 🌲🌵

If you are going to Burning Man unprepared in 2024, that is on you. There are 1001 lists/videos/articles by veterans that give you tips on what to bring, how to prepare and what to prepare for.

The dogs are probably glad they are not with you, I don't think they would enjoy it. Still looking forward to the hijinks, but at this point, doesn't look like we are missing too much. The wind is really killing it. Hope you have a few more videos where things get a little more fun.
Honestly though, part of the fun of it really is the harsh weather conditions. I’ve been in blizzard conditions before in a tiny tent several times and it can be very scary, but it’s also very memorable and I loved it. You are right, the dogs would hate it. Animals aren’t allowed at burning man anyways which is a really good thing. 🌲🌵🐕🦺🐕
I love the beach…but hate the sticky sand…don’t care how many product reviews you do for enduring burning man…I say … No way Hosea!

Somehow, the dust does not have a long-term negative impact on my lungs. I did bring several types of masks, including bandannas and neck gaiters but I never used them. I used goggles though. 🌲🌵

I have camped in the desert many times and wouldn’t go to Burning man if it was free. Way too many people in the desert. Breathing in all that dust can’t be healthy.
Yeah it is about 60,000 people within a few square miles!! Very different than what I am used to. Usually my dogs and I have a few square miles to ourselves! 🌵🌲

Ha yeah windburned is right! I did not get sunburned though! And I only wore sunscreen one day. The dust kinda helps for sun protection but the key is to always stay in shade! 🌲🌵
Yeehaw, that's almost as dirty/dusty as working potato harvest for six weeks. (Did that for 14 years in a row). LOL! I hope you brought some N95 masks with you...

Another burner let me borrow it and it was very cool. The shift pod is an amazing structure to live in out there. And also incredibly easy to set up. This was an older model but still the only damage on it was the two zippers. Which are actually quite important ha ha. The zipper didn’t work at all, and I wish I would have got some footage of me trying to squeeze through the other zipper door, because it was seriously broken and I really had to squeeze in and out of it on my hands and knees. 🌵🌲
@@GotOut I love it ,I am going to set one up in my backyard and make a love hut out of it or I could rent it out here in the Bay Area for a couple grand a month, just put in a bathroom and a permanent door. they are renting out rooms in this area for 2,000. a month, that thing would be like living a penthouse .i lived in sandbag huts while in the marines and we had them fixed up very very nice, I could live in one and be happy for sure. thanks for sharing man.👍
Very good choice to show the environment, had all kinds of video for what was happening but none of what you are accomplishing.
Yeah thanks. That’s what I was thinking was plenty of people would have videos showing all of the crazy lights and music and sculptures and art cars and people, but no one ever really shows what your life will actually be like inside your shelter and in your camp. 🌵🌲
