I’m a kitchen table designer myself so good for you mate, for having the space and the willingness to separate work from home 🏠 inside your home. Nice video.!

I've been in the process of working from a self made small wooden table sitting on my bedroom floor to a real desk and workspace where I (co-)create.
I'm not a designer, but had the same process as you and I've been upgrading and improving a lot the past year.
Your video gives me the feeling that I'm in the right direction. Thank you for giving a peek into your corner. I totally understand where you're coming from and your space looks very inspiring to me.
      You gained a subscriber 😊

Thanks so much @Elefsinian for your message. It ultimately doesn't matter where you create - as long as it works for you and you keep creating. But hopefully you get to create your own space one day (if that is something you would like to do) and I hope this video was useful to you.

Thanks so much @therecycledpirate for your message. It sounds like you have been doing some interesting things and have ended up having a great space for yourself (and are heading in the right direction). Out of interest, what do you actually do? - would be interested to know. Not sure if you are able to send a photo through somehow to this chat or directly, but I would love to see what you put together. All the best.

Very nicely done. Your channel is going to flourish with quality content like this. Keep it up! Looking forward to seeing more.

Thanks so much @comaktinyhomes for your comment. It means a lot. I want to share what I have learnt and hopefully give some ideas and inspiration to other people but you just end up sending it out into the world and don't know whether it is actually helping anyone or making a difference. So comments like yours give me hope that I am on track. If you don't mind me asking - what do you do and what are you interested in?
      All the best,
      Ben

Im about to design my own office space, and this has helped a lot. Its such a fresh take on the very typical and over saturated desk setup youtuber sphere. Although i know that i take a lot of inspiration from the world, I always find it difficult to articulate that into a tangible physical manifestation of how it influences my space. Id love to see a video from you that explains how you take inspiration from places like gallery's and library's into your own space.

Thanks @macsnapsmedia for your message - and I am glad you found the video useful. Thank you for your suggestion on the future video - I will be keeping those suggestions and will try to incorporate them into future videos. When you get your office done I would really love to see it - please send through a photo if you can. Please keep in contact - where are you based?
      Thanks,
      Ben

Thanks Ben, I'm on the Central Coast in NSW. Although I do video production in my day to day job I'm pretty rubbish at documenting things for myself, however I'm hoping to record something of me putting the space together, so if that ever happens I'll be sure to send you a link.

Space is so precious here where I live. I have to pack up every time I want to design or paint. It actually makes me very sad and less incline to feed my soul with art.

Wonderful video...everything...inspiring, creative and so calm in this frenetic world. Really presenting creativity as a meditational practice with the transcendental music... I am inspired by this...thank you!

Great video and conversation. I guess it nice to hear from others and see how we align in mindset and concept. I organized my home studio into (3) zones desktop, creative, and inspiration. My studio supports architectural sketching, modeling, photography, and abstract painting. My desktop's core focus is digital tasks from admin to creative. I also use it for my morning coffee and sketch sessions, My creative space was purposeful in both have a crafting table on wheels to move where I needed it as well as a place to "leave" in progress work so not a shared space that needs to be moved. My inspiration zone is my library complete with lounge chair and effective lighting and background music. I find myself here at the end of the day with a dram of scotch gaining inspiration from others to kick start my tomorrow's fun.

Thanks so much @michaelsd284 for your message. It sounds like you have created an amazing space for yourself and you thought process has a lot of overlap with the basic principles that I applied. Not sure if you are able to send a photo through somehow to this chat or directly, but I would love to see what you put together. All the best on your design life.

I've been sketching out ideas on how to optimize and build out an at home design studio for a while now. Like you, the videos I found on youtube were largely unhelpful or not really as detailed as I'd like. This felt more in line with the type of content I was looking for but I'd love to see more details of how you've organized the space for your workflow and why you made the choices you did. This felt like a great introduction to concepts I've already been thinking a lot about. Thanks for posting I can see the amount of work you put in to this type of content and you're clearly skilled at it!

Thanks so much @AustinEsmond for your comment - it means a lot to hear from other people who share similar interests. And thanks for your feedback - I will do more detailed videos ion the future. If you don't mind me asking - what do you do? - I would be interested to know.
      All the best,
      Ben

@ good to hear! My wife and I are graphic designers that primarily work from home but I’ve also become an avid home DIYer since buying our home in 2020. I’m envisioning a wall of storage opposite our computer stations with a rollout standing height work surface for more hands on art creation. A cozy place to sit would be an awesome addition as well.

That sounds like a plan. My wife and I too are addicted DIYers and always have some type of project on the go. Just after I published this video we signed a contract on a new house / farm where we will have a never ending list of projects and things to do - making things is where we are happiest and sounds like it is the same for you. All the best with yours. Ben

Aural clutter in a built environment, like noxious smells, IRL, are unavoidable irritants.
Minimalism and work life balance are till very much on trend.
Therefore, l would recommend your channel to everyone . IF there was zero aural clutter.
Those looking for raw stimulation, will click off early anyway.
