Tips for showering when dysphoric:
take showers in the dark, personally I turn off the lights and leave my phone flashlight on the counter so I have a little bit of light but not enough to see myself
When it comes to washing your body, get a loofa or scrub brush thingy so you won’t have to touch your body
tips for bathing since you have done this might aswell have some tips for bathing when dysphoric
have the mirror covered with a small towel or somthing (do the same for your shower it still helps)
have bubbles so it can distract you from your body
dark bath bombs also so it can distract you from your body
use a loofa

@@forgottencorpse69 YEP. i actually was coming down here to gently give information on this exact topic LMAO. for some people, it's JUST dirty talk, in the same way that "ddlg" (caretaker/little, which is the gender neutral version) is just dirty talk, for the most part (with the exception of people who really go all in with it and have the clothes and the toys and everything. not my kink, but i refuse to shame people). for some people, it's a legit thing--plenty of trans/cis gay couples can and do engage in it, and sometimes legit do have kids as a result. (the having the kid part is not part of the kink, usually; it's just the concept and the dirty talk? and sometimes the pregnancy, but not usually the giving birth and having the kid)

That’s like EXCATLY what happened when I came out to parents.
I started by telling my mother and I (innocently) thought that it would go well, bcs my parents never showed any sigh of transphobia. BUT being a doctor, my mother started to teach me an entire lesson about operations while crying! While I’m just like “Uh… Mom… I’m 15… I won’t do anything to my body… It’s not that big of a deal ya know?”
That disappointed me so much in them that they think being trans is a “bad” and “sad” thing

About the period confusion thing: a couple months ago I got my period again for the first time in two years (issues w hormone blockers), and I told my mom. She literally started freaking out that I was bleeding. It took her a while before she stopped and remembered I’m a TRANS guy lmao. She said it felt like one of my cis brothers bleeding from below and she couldn’t comprehend it at first. It was weirdly nice that she forgot I was afab lol

I Understand! Fortunately, I had the pleasure of fundraising for one of the First “Gay & Lesbian” Centers in Hollywood, And Being so young..
It was an adventure. They stuck me out in front of a bar called “The Eagle” on Friday Night, (LINE OF “HALF NAKED” MEN,-All the way around the block), I was Way Too young be there, But it helped the gay community “get off the ground”, they invited me back the next day and said “I raise the most money anyone ever had”. We got our center! A lot of them people are gone, but they are alive in my mind. “Enjoy and smile” as much as you can, It makes a world of difference. Have a good day, and keep on Reminding folks that we ALL have rights. (It seems they sometimes “forget”). Tc.

As a side note, I have a childhood friend that is FTM and an old classmate that is also FTM. I haven't seen or talked to either of them since pretransition. Sometimes I accidentally misgender them in my thoughts but never out loud and always correct my thoughts when I do accidentally misgender them. It's not that hard to correct yourself or catch yourself when you're talking about a trans person, especially when you're actually still in contact with them post transition. If someone doesn't do that they're clearly just not trying or they're not thinking ever.
