And once again, 10,000 years! It is impossible to play that without a dirty great grin. That verse riff is one of those 'why didn't I think of that?' riffs. So, so cool
thanks for watching!
That purple on the peavey is outstanding
I appreciate SO MUCH how this video is edited--playing the same riff on all three guitars and cutting the footage together in such a way to make it seamless. It really helps to differentiate the tones on all three. Many more comparison demo videos should be done like this. Cheers! (I liked the Aluminati a lot, BTW)
I found them all to be very dark but with just enough presence. I liked the Peavey/ECG the most. On the overdrive and full mix sections it had the crunch of the Aluminati and the fatness of the Obscura. All were cool.
Best demos on TH-cam. Thank so much
Thank you!
aluminati light and airy
Peavey perfect
obscura dark tone knob all the way down
Love the JML!
Great job on the video editing btw.
I really enjoyed this as I did the others. I prefer the Peavey it has rough & organic sound. I do not know how you thought to make it but it is serious winner. Very, very impressive all around. the pedals all did their thing well too. Thanx!
I like it it has good clear tone that doesn't blend together as much as a wood neck guitar so u can hear each individual tone more
Peavy for the win. Tone and appearance were just badass.
Nice guitar Jason mate ✌️👍
Really like the alumanti ❤
Cheers!
I like the first and the last guitars.
thanks for watching!
I like the brightness of the Aluminati.
i am partial to the obscura necks, as i do own one myself, but egc makes some killer stuff, especially those reproduction travis beans! been dying to see someone make easier to get bolt on aluminum bass vi necks, thats my dream build
I am partial to obscura also they are so damn good. If you ever want to sell your neck let me know 🙏
490’s are great pups! When I put imperials in my SG, I threw the 490’s in a cheaper guitar add it made a world of difference!
The Peavey hands down!
Cheers from Massachusetts!
I kept waiting for one of them to sound bad, none did!!! They all had some good qualities to their sound. Couldn’t pick a favorite. Great video Jason!!! That Sabatthi pedal is the shit man!!! Steve hit that one out of the park!!!🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
my ears:
Aluminati: best sound in almost all scenarios, cuts like crazy (I am surprised because I did not expect to sound semi-hollow body sound like that).
“White one” - darkest sounding, never liked it; BUT it did not sound dark when you played with a drummer. Maybe it needs a brighter sounding pickups to shine.
Peavey - I liked it almost as much as Aluminati. I tried this guitar (with a wooden neck) and I only remember it was way too heavy for my shoulder. I play Les Pauls so I expect some weight but this was so much I forgot how it sounded 😅 and remember only that weight. I guess it is for a fraction of Aluminati price so it is a budget winner 😊
T60 all the way. I'd love to hear a a T60 comparison between stock and aluminum necks.
They all sound killer,, interesting to hear how they all react to the pedal (which sounds great). in each different setting, I thought the peavey sounded best. Heavy and low, awesome clarity even dirty. Nice purple burst too 🤘
EGC/Peavey seems to be the thickest, aluminati very mid heavy, JML right in the middle.
that shirt XD
All three sound fantastic but I feel the T60 sounds a tiny bit twangy a bit like a strat, it's not a bad thing I actually like that just as the sound on the other two
What were the riffs played throughout 4:04 - 5:24 ?
Was just something I came up with, let me link you to a better clip of it! th-cam.com/video/hoP-I3GOuB0/w-d-xo.html

I like the Aluminati guitar the best, sounded nice and open with the best note definition and string separation.
But to be honest the differences are quite small and in a recording situation it won't matter what guitar you use.
Aluminati wins for me I think. Not as dark as the JML but still heavy sounding. The Peavey was a little too raspy to my ears. All are awesome axes though!
This is Nirvana's sound... 7:16 very versatile indeed...
JC6 too dark IMO. Aluminati & Peavey both sound better to my ears. Stick the Lollars in the T60!
PLEASE do this with a BASS!!
That’s a tall order to get that many more necks haha. You can sign up for the patreon page to help make that happen ❤️
R L James!!
why aluminium???
resonant material
