Bro has the audacity to make FL look like Audacity
I wouldn’t recognize it 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Been on FL studio 20 years. So glad to see it get the respect it deserves
fl is goated but that theme is a flashbang dawg💀
came for the FL love, stayed for the DJ Khaled roasting
FL Gaannggg
earl sweatshirt lookin ahhhh🤣
I work as a graphic designer full time which doesn't have to mean too much but to me personally, Ableton is the best looking daw out of all DAWs. I will say FL actually has super satisfying ui because of all the fancy effects an animation, but the thing with the patterns, multiple windows and all the other audio stuff you have to assign makes it super cluttered and confusing for me. I like how ableton just stays in one single window, things are organized for you, which doesn't allow for much customization but tbh they did a great job where its not really needed. People say ableton looks hella old, but I think its just cuz they all look at the default grey theme. Pretty much every software with a grey theme will look old, cuz it looks like some old windows 95 software, its ugly. But you can simply change the theme in the settings. The workflow in ableton also just makes more sense to me.
At the end of the day it depends on which one YOU like more, I suggest anybody who is unsure to just get the demos for different DAWs and make one simple song in each and try them out to learn the workflow.
ABLETON GANGGG
ableton user here, totally agree. takes a little while to learn but because im getting into the dubstep and color bass ableton is so smooth that i can just build anything super quickly. stock plugins being like small intergrated effects on the channel without a seperate window is also really clean. Id say fl is better for like trap and stuff like that but electronic, ableton is it. i dont really mind that its expensive because its my main workspace and the base has to be good
@@XEAZUR ableton was actually 60bucks for me cuz I got it just recently, you also get live 12 for free.
@@JuhoSprite how did you get it for 60? im gonna have to upgrade for for 422 aud
@@XEAZUR idk it says on the site on the subscription plans, I am able to switch to 12 if I want(I wont). Also for me the regular ableton is 80bucks, and FL studio is a full 100. Weird, cuz ppl say ableton is expensive, I live in europe so it might have to do something with regions.
that MS Power Point theme tho 💀
As beginner, I got my eyes on FL first day. It is just so much easier to learn this DAW. You get free updates, and so many people do tutorials on beats etc in FL so you learn even faster!
Bro has touched all the daws
the funniest thing in regard to DJ Khaled is when he uses that MPC and they tell him to give it to KRS-One or someone who can use it.
FL GANG 💪
The best DAW is simply whichever you prefer :)
"I touched all of them." 😂😂😂 I do wonder if having a bunch of different windows for everything is the best way to go, but I've been using it since the year 2000 and I'm not changing now.
I think every Daw has his pros and cons. And that is the good thing. I hated the look of ableton and I hate the workflow from ableton, but a friend of mine loved it.
So I will stuck with FL and he is running Ableton.
Just do your stuff and all is good. But I am not gonna lie, I would love to have all Daws just because. Not because I would switch, but just to use everything and learn stuff from there.
Bro trolling, Ableton wins (cracked it 💀🗿)
cool video with some really valid points. however, i am an ableton user and thus i've been forced to block you on all social media platforms as well as send a drone strike to your location. hoping you'll understand
understandable
imagine having to manually assign mixing tracks and have individual windows for every vst lmaoo
graphing calc....that got me!🤣
Been using it since v3.x
Feelsgoodizer
I ain't taking it with all this Cubase slander 😭😭
Ableton you can click and get a note on piano roll and hear the preview live, just like FL you have the pencil selected, and there's a headphone above the roll that toggles the sound preview.
I used to pirate Cubase, but now you can get it via splice rent to own, that's a really cool and affordable plan that i hope other DAWs would offer. I don't get the hate on Cubase hahaha i use it all the time and find it very fast and handy for my productions
Anyways DAW doesn't matter. What matters is the driver, not the car 👍
Thanks man. This is what I need. Cool cool review bro.
As a very happy FL user (not that I'm happy in general, I'm happy _with FL Studio_ ), I wouldn't say it's definitively the best DAW ever, however *Image Line (the company that makes FL Studio) is definitely the best music software company in the game* .
You talked about the free updates, but even aside from that, they just really listen to their users, and they're on the cutting edge with a lot of new technologies like stem separation. To have that shit built into your DAW wasn't even something I could imagine a few months ago, but they did it, and I've been loving it (ba-da-ba-ba-baaa).
So yeah, FL isn't absolutely perfect (I'd say the stock effects aren't the best), but if you like the workflow, that's the best 200 bucks you're ever gonna spend.
cockos, the company who made reaper, is also a great comapny!
Regarding themes in earlier versions disappearing after 12, I'm pretty sure 12 was when they introduced vector based graphics and UI/UX for everything, so the old theme system didn't work anymore. Glad it's back though.
I've been using FL for 16 years. I touched other DAWs. For what I am doing the combination of desktop and mobile is working well. In the beginning I used it as drum machine but over time it became my go to DAW. I am sure I don't even use 30% of what it can do so to me it already has more than I can ask for. The only thing I use as thirth party plugin at the moment is a synth I downloaded from internet. Not that I can't use the synths in FL but I just like that synth. FL mobile has all the drum samples I need. I never had to go download drum samples somewhere else other than Queen's clap and one specific drum.
My problem with FL is that it is limited in everything audio related (and like freezing/bouncing/deactivating tracks, saving track presets and importing tracks from other projects)
+
I do not see any reason for individual mixer/playlist tracks, automation and midi instruments to not be hardwired together.
Fucking waste of time trying to get that shit organized.
Ur a nOOb
Very good, straight to the point and got me laugh!😂
Best daw might be different for everybody but truly you have a lot for 200$ or less..
I would never pay for a subscription. Also i gave a try to almost all daws, really liked logic pro but noticed in FL i could do more in less time with more sophisticated tools even if the interface looks like old, trust me when i say it's a very powerful tool!❤
You don't even need a midi, you can use the keyboard for notes, enjoyable workflow specially with shortcuts.
And if you encounter an issue or don't know how to make this or that, just check the amount of videos about FL tutorials!
A happy owner here 😊
FL STUDIO NATION RISE UP GRAAAAAAAAAAAH
It doesn't really after. Just use whichever one fits your workflow
It matters ...alot.. man I used cubase 5...recording was a nightmare hidden under a billion menus ... Free updates for ever ...I bought FL12 now I own 21 and I will own FL 30 😂😂😂for free ... That matters
i’m a recording arts student and i cannot fucking stand logic. have to use it because it’s “industry standard” but i literally feel so monkey brain using that shit, the workflow is awful
I have Studio one but the piano roll is the pain in the ass, i am going to use fl studionow, the daw from my childhood ❤
Studio One needs more respect smh and they got themes too
Naw fr studio one the best in my opinion
love the video, love the music
Thank you!
My nigga.....that one had me laugh so hard
💯 is true , i own about 3 daw and is true fl studio just get things done
CRACKED ABLETON GANG 💪
gangg gmeh
i retract my statement as i have now tried out FL and am switching over 😭
Damn What Cubase do to you?🤣 I use Cubase I love it. Lots of flexibility and features. FL seems cool just not for the way i work.
i like reaper
Some people hate on FL for the sake of hearing the sound of their own arguments..
Yes there are people like this they funny asf.
man using FL in white mode 😂
im just here for the cat
Fl studio best daw💯🔥🎶
MY EYES I NEED SUNGLASS
Just… WHY LIGHT MODE
0 Lies Detected
ay yo why your cat beefing with the wall
I think there isn't a best DAW all DAW have their flaws like imo FL has a STEEP learning curve like creating sends is so confusing it took me a day (and im gonna say this a day to understand how to make sends is crazy, on Cubase it took me under 1 hour) to understand how it all works and also having the mixing board have already 256 tracks is too cluttered that's why I would say I like DAWs like Cubase, Ableton, Logic because you add track one by one and the mixing board only shows tracks you have and also sends are separated from the main which makes it easier on the eyes but I will say this FL is great for beginning as you pay what £200 or something like that and you have the DAW for the rest of your life whereas (I personally use Cubase) you have to pay £400+ then Extra for update but all in all I think FL isn't the greatest DAW but I wouldn't say the other DAWS are better as all have their pros & cons 😎
great video btw!
Very good video Screwball
FL is the best because it has waifus built in
exactly
I'd watch a second part to this
Bro wake up just spit facts on dead homies 🍌
Bro spitting facts
Why tf does every studio use pro tools fl studio should be the go to
thats all cool and all, but what If you have a oroject thats any bigger than a lil hiphop beat. You cant multi track with ease in fl. The way you organize in fl is just a pain. should I go on?
Yes actually, go on... also here's a link to a 3 minute video teaching you how to do it... seems simple to me:
th-cam.com/video/2hhLb8G-CfQ/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=SoundGuyMoses
i started off scoring video games and animations before i started making beats trust me, FL Studio is a powerhouse for multitracking and it is probably the best because of how much little processing power fl uses
@@screwstash The processing power is objectively false. Reaper is way way better in that point of view. I have used fl studio for over 5 years and I know for a fact that multi tracking is also kind of a pain, and the multi track editing is even worse. Time stretching guitar strums, editing multi tracked drums wahtever it may be it is way way more of a hassle than it should be in any other daw.
Fl studio is a daw made to be used with loops. if you do anything other than loops there are wayyy better options and it's laughable to reccomend fl studio to every new person that is coming to music making.
just because you're happy with your choice doesn't mean everyone should use the same program
edit:
I would like to add the pricing things. For a professional paying 600 for a license of a version that lasts at least 3 years isn't that bad. you easily make more profit and it's one of your tools that you need to keep updated. same way a butcher buys quality knifes and let's them sharpen every once in a while.
😂 man u got my sub
I’m a producing TH-camr and I use a mac! I agree it’s very hard to stream on mac cause the audio issue, but I use “Blackhole” and it allows me to fix that issue🙏 Wanna upgrade someday tho
sup guys, i wanna be prod, making different beats like carti or drake,so i can t choose daw for start, specifically, this convenience and low system requirements are important to me, because I don't spend so much time at home and use a PC, most often I use a laptop outside the house, so I have a question which daw to choose? I am considering Amped Studio, Soundation for myself, I would like to try fl studio, but I am afraid that the experience will be sad, since the laptop is only for work and the browser
I have no clue what the other two are but fl is not system heavy at all. You can run it on a mf potato.
fl gang 4l
Yep and Reaper sits there ok 👌 but they can be friends but none like FL daw♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️🫧🫧🫧
yh I have FL pirated rn along with all the plugins and sum kits. All free (not a cent paid)
I terms of GUI, Reason Destroy's everyone ... in terms of convinience FL still the best !!
pro tools is such a pain in the ass to use and its constantly crashing smh
yall don't know about trackers. Milky tracker and Renoise
fl studio for lyfe !!!!
The goat
Cool hat😄
FL was easiest to "find" in 2008 so it was fate and i never looked back. Didnt upgrade from FL10 until 2021 😂
😂😂😂😂Wow
The best DAW is the one you can afford and completely know you way around it, not what some random TH-camr says is the best.
Best for you, isn't the best everybody!!
Everybody is an 'expert' on TH-cam.
That Ableton 12 upgrade is free with that 20% off deal. It said in the yellow box directly onscreem while you were talking.
didnt ask + fl on top 🤷♂
@@theobird1176lmao 😂
20 very generous Lol 😂😂😂
There aint no such thing as the best DAW ever!!!...smh
FL Gang🙌🏾
fl is good but it doesn't even close in the conversion of being the best daw lol. reaper solos
There is also maschine.
Bro just exploded my eyes...but let's go fl gang.
FL being "too easy" is such a stupid take... As if DAWs had to be confusing and hard to use on purpose :)
Cubase wasss soooo difficult to use maaan ...recording was hidden in many menus 😂😂😂
What? Make an audio track, set the input, arm, hit record.
@@Doty6String Yeah when I was starting out I used cubase 5 ... Wish 8 had checked the tutorial 😂😂😂 thank God I ended up using FL man I was such a novice back then 😂😂😂😂🤦🤦🤦
@@traezaX1 dude cubase is amazing I just switched to Cubase and its saving my life. but Im a composer and I don't really make "beats" per se
Thats cuz the other Daws in production are meant for people who play keys not Mouse Clicking and lighting up squares so i see why u like it u produce with a mouse. No offense.
...to me all this about fl is weird, co's fl is the only daw i just could not learn, I know pt cubase logic st1 ableton...but fl..? omg it has very different workflow than any other...but I might give it a chance one more time...😀
...logic is 199$ with 70gb of amazing samples loops content,
FAX
I've been saying this shit for years back when I was just starting out and some oldschool mfs couldn't see through they fart clouds tryna to get me to use StudioOne (lord have mercy that shit was ass) and Cubase smh
FL GANG GO CRAZY
What a rant. If you’re new to a daw, first think of where you want to go. FL seems to be the choice for people making “beats”, ableton is the best daw of you don’t play and instrument, Logic is great if you play music already and want to grow as a producer, it’s also cheap, Cubase is the obvious choice for composers and musicians, pro tools is obviously the best choice for an engineer. Look at your long term goals first. Not to soy you can’t use different daws for different stuff. I do.
CAKEWALK IS FREE
💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯🤣🤣🤣🤣
Not hating, but I don't think you listed one thing FL does that other daws can't also do
Simple 1 click default Stem separation.
u obviously didn't watch the video cuz the entire 16 minutes was of me talking about things fl does that other daws dont lmao
I won’t lie gang u def didn’t look at what you were talking about because it does clearly say that if u buy Ableton 11 you get Ableton 13 for free 😂😂😭🤣, I understand what you mean though I use fl but this was not accurate for there sake.
😂😂😂😂homie you know DJ Khaled doesn't make beats right?
Stop taking whatever the jolly fat man says seriously
😂😂😂this man had none on Cubase
I love this video what a lovely way to get me off of my personal life problems i live for this type of content ❤
Im a proud Pro tools - Reaper User
I used FL its Great but uh yeah😂😂😂😂 moving on
Feel like he was just making jokes, Khaled is a full on meme at this point who is talking trash
Look, i love FL too.... but god damn this white theme is horrendous. How can you work like that?
Keeps me on my toes I guess lol I like it
I’m subscribing and liking because u a nigga like me 😂😂😂. But… FL Studio is good. Can’t front. Gotta be damn near simple in the head to not be able to make beats with it. I just prefer Ableton. And ain’t none of em fucking with the stock sounds in Reason and then Logic.
uninformed?
You've got to find some more reasons. Those mentioned are lame. I found Fruity Loops is only fast at the beginning, to set some shitty drums in the step sequencer and some notes in the piano roll. After that, in the creative process and mixing and working with audio, the workflow is a complete mess. Looks? Completely subjective. To me it looks cartoonish and the GUI is cluttered and unintuitive with a mess of a million windows floating around. I give you the one about price and free lifetime updates, but there's a catch: it wasn't as cheap to me because I had to purchase 3rd party sounds, instruments and effects, as stock instruments and sounds are pretty average. And I'm stuck with a useless lifetime-updating Fruity Loops license for life because I can't sell or transfer it. Thank you IL.
bro im not reading all this bs
I hate Ableton ...looks sooo ugly ...yyuuk
Logic is better
wack ass program
no lol
Boi you high 😂
400 for that lol can’t even get it on windows bruh😂 not everyone has a damn mac
Making beats in logic is a fuckin headache you lied as fuck
It ain't even an argument fam. Anyone who tries to say otherwise is in denial. This could be up for debate 10 years ago MAYBE. Today, like FL 20 onwards, it's just far ahead... especially 21. Like, it's just waaay ahead, only way to convince any denier now is if the DAW got up and made you a sandwich!
I'd list things but it's just too much shiii with FL.
