Hello, I've followed the steps in your video. The clock is synced from the 404 to the mf. But how do I trigger the mf to play a sequence from the 404? For example, I have a drum sequence in pattern mode on the 404. Can I trigger the mf to play a sequence made on the mfs own sequencer? Thank you.
If you want the SP404Mk2 to control BPM but not trigger the Microfreak with the pads just go to your Microfreak Utility> Global>MIDI>Input Chan and change it to 2. Not sure it it's the perfect solution but it worked for me.
i am trying to sync clock of sp404 mkii to the arturia microfreak. I have midi out of microfreak going into an trs AXB converter then that goes to midi in of sp404 mkii. I also have the microfreak audio running through the line ins and outs of sp. However whenever I hit a key on microfreak it triggers one of the pads on sp404 on top of playing its own notes. This is not what im looking for. I just want to slave the clock of sp to the microfreak and also have the midi running through sp to the rest of my signal chain. Any clue how to stop the microfreak from triggering the sp sample pads and just have it sync the clock and run midi through?

Worked for me, exact same cables, needed to also make sure midi sync out was turned on in the SP404. My output is going from microfreak into the sp404 mono line in and and Ext Source is turned on. Playing the pattern triggers the MF sequence.

This is only true if you go midi out from the freak to the sp404. That's not what he does in the video. He goes out from the sp to the freak.

You would use midi to sync the 2 devices and then connect the outputs of your synth to the inputs of the SP404 to record|sample the synced audio
