I spent two tours during the Vietnam war and the day I left a number of my fellow soldiers who I spent day and night with for two years saw me off at the airbase to catch my C-130 ride down to Bangkok. As we said our goodbyes, tears were flowing down my eyes.
Later in life, I walked my two daughters from the aisle for their weddings. Tears of joy and pride were flowing down my face.
In all three instances, these tears were uncontrollable and natural, as natural as breathing. My autonomic nervous system took over and even though I do not have any mental defect that I have been diagnosed with, it was just a human, natural, emotional process..

I live in Georgia and the situation is a mess. Many Republican leaders have voiced concern and our paper (AJC) has been doing a great job covering the story, but many of us are highly disturbed. Any potential lawsuits need to be moved along quickly.

Texas too. We have to checked to be sure the republican legislature does not delete people from the voter rolls. Like Georgia, they are afraid of the rapid political, social and demographic change in this state. Texas is diverse and is really purple voter wise but red politically by redistricting. Already the largest city metros, Dallas, Houston, Austin, San Antonio and Fort Worth have voted blue in the last several elections and the suburbs are voting bluer in each election cycle. Texas GQP fear if the state turns blue, Republicans won't ever win a major election in the future.

He, they, did a great job, that was teamwork and collaboration, and not something that exists on some other networks, where they talk over each other to try to look smart, and utterly fail in the competition they show, these two know what the public wants to learn and see for themselves! simply put, they both let the convention attendees speak for themselves, no matter what they had to say, well chosen questions, informative answers too by delegates. On a scale of 10, they get an 11 from me!

For years, the GOP has been doing whatever it takes suppressing voters, dilute Black votes, make it difficult to vote, and now instating a board that CANT BE TRUSTED. My vote is safe, I’m a white woman in buckhead, I have numerous locations to vote early with no lines. but the same can’t be said for most of my city, and much of my state. The GOP knows that they would lose the state, if voting was accessible.

Didn’t trump do a few cameo appearances on the WWF during the height of the pro wrestling craze of the 90’s? If it’s a reference to that, then maybe it makes some weird sense. Wish I remembered who made the video, but I saw a great thing a bunch of years back showing how we’ve always known that trump was a villain, based off of his public persona. It talked of him being the “villain” type character in a few pro-wrestling performances, and that some cartoon or video game developers (sorry my memory is bad) literally admitted to having their villains inspired by trump back in the day. So his whole persona back then *was* villain, and all the people voting for him must have known (and liked that!) about him. Very frightening, IMO. I found an article on medium about trump and the psychology of pro-wrestling, but sadly can’t read it behind the paywall.

I've got all the time in the world for Jacob Soboroff. His book and contemporaneous reporting about the child separation program under Trump was thorough and well researched. He also brought basic humanity into the equation and I will be eternally grateful for his unwavering eye and insistence on getting to the truth of the horrible decisions which led to the zero tolerance program.
