This album is meant to focus on Nehru. Not Doom. Doom is mentoring him, and that is part of the main idea of this album. Stop complaining about not enough metal fingaz. There's a reason why Nehru has the mic and Doom holdin the boombox on the cover. Nehru is main vocals. Doom is production. NehruvianDoom is a dope adventure, period.

Y'all are underestimating how difficult it is to flow on a DOOM beat . The way DOOMs rhyme patterns go against the beat is hard to grasp. Slug even said he couldn't fathom it and even after DOOM tried explaining it to him he eventually just wrote to the drum track. I think bishop did a damn good job here

I don't know why people are hating on this album so hard, it's actually pretty dope. I give if 7.5/10, the least it deserves is a 6. So what DOOM didn't really go hard? He's helping a younger artist hone his skills and get better. Love DOOM, love Bishop

This is the side of rap that actually means something
People are hating on this because DOOM doesn't have that big of a role lyric wise, but DOOM is on the production AND is helping a new MC learn the ropes, and DOOM has been in the underground spotlight for years and he's letting Bishop have it on here because DOOM has already proved his place in the list of GOATS. I liked this project. I've been obsessed with OM lately and I think this is a pretty solid project.
People are disappointed, and a lot of you have a legitimate claim. When most people hear Dooms doing a collaboration, they get excited for Dooms superior wordplay and verses. Let me address a few things that I feel might clear up some issues and confusion.
This album was marketed incorrectly and was mislabeled. It's called a collaboration but it's really a Doom production. The LP is funded, produced and marketed by Doom.
This wasn't intended to be a *true collaboration* it was simply an attempt to groom a prodigy and help Nehru pad his resume. Doom produced all the beats except for the bonus track, and this gave Nehru the chance to shine behind some world class never heard before beats.
In my opinion, the tape did its purpose even though most people were expecting to hear Doom through out the whole album.

We have music at the click click of a button so when we listen to dope projects like this we dont soak it all in. Take into consideration the work bishop, doom and their associates put in to create this project. The artwork, the instrumentals, the message in the intro (if you heard any) im an artist so i understand the process of creation.
I love the production, straight DOOM. Bishop was nice he delivered, though there were a few tracks where he fell flat. overall this joint is one you can chill to while you create, smoke or whatever else it fits.

This album REALY is more about exposing Bishop than MF Doom. Not ith that being said the kid is incredibly talented for him to only be 18 years old. I'm from Chicaog and gre up on NY hip hop and even though I know that wave will never come back guys like Bishop and Joey Bada$$ keep that spirit alive versus guys like French Montana and GS9 who sound like guys from the South or Chicago which is the modern sound of NYC. Bishop has that #classicfeel

there is a lack of DOOM but the instrumentals are great. bishop did his thing, he can only keep improving. this is a solid album with amazing artwork
Doom is a producer first and a rapper for fun; which is all the more apparent with his entire body of work (ae: special herbs, all his colabs etc). Bishop is his pupil, he saw this kid's talent (which is also evident) and decided to promote him and provide sick beats; and the beats are dope.
You long time DOOM fans downplay the album I say give it time. It's not what you expected but Nehru is something special. This is a gem. I have never heard an artist like this good so young.
I personally think Vince Staples is better than all the other young guy's like Bada$$, Earl and Nehru. Just my personal opinion and I like all those guys.

I was reading some comments regarding what some of you internet trolls was saying and i respect you're opinion but i'm glad this kid is throwing lyrics instead of sounding like everybody else. Swag. Fleek, D-Boy, trap boy and whatever else these copy cat clone rappers say now in days.. I'm glad to hear this young man come out with something different and DOOM is the man you want on you're side when it come to making albums.. The opposite of an unwise, unplanned career blunder, joining forces with the Mask, itself Doom, plenty of room, possibly even a vacuum for young talent. Passing the torch, reaching a generational balance. Picture the Villain maxin' on his mansion's porch, satisfied, bursting with fatherly pride, for Hip Hop lives on... in Nehru's song. :D

Takes awhile to really get into Bishop Nehru, but the delight is nice.
One of the better albums put out this year. I expected it to be better but I still give this a solid 7/10. The choruses are way too long, and MF DOOM didn't really rap as good as he does normally. Nehru was really nice lyrically on this album, he didn't disappoint at all. Hopefully Nehru improves from this album.

as a HUGE DOOM and nehru fan, i was very hyped for this. its shorter than i expected. couple beats are old DOOM productions. HOWEVER, this album is amazing. So Alone's beat sounds so mystical and greats things is also a win.

I usually fall asleep to music, and was in the middle of getting into a DEEP sleep when the intro to this album woke me the fuck up. I didn't know whether the playlist went into the self-help part of youtube with the "om chant", or i was being spoken to by an ethereal voice talking about how "the human ear can only hear..", or whether somebody had Aliens blasting next door, or what the fuck. I didn't know what was going on, but my confusion had a dope beat behind it, and it was a good wake up call.
