DIY Clear Tail Lights...KINDA (E36)

My failed attempt at making e36 clear lights. I wasn't gonna post this but maybe you guys could give me some insight or someone can learn from my mistakes.

OEM tailights cant be turned into clears since the lense themselves are dyed red/yellow! For your Inpros you need to dremel the black seal outline around the lense in order to seperate the tailight and remove the red parts, Instead of trying to dremel the plastic housing lol
Also if you ever wanted a good reusable clay bar you can check out Griots synthetic clay

So you need first to remove the exterior gum for doing that in the inpros? I cant found anything online about cutting e36 tails, got a pair of inpros and want to clear them but im unsure where cutting

@@miketoren_o yea just use the dremel very carefully where the lens meets the housing

@@pogolegs8587 thanks for the tip dude, so the exterior seal can be reglued or i need a new one?

@@miketoren_o Lens will have to be glued back on with a caulk gun and some silicone, the seal can be reglued the same way as well if it’s not mangled

Follow the clay bar process with compound->polish->wax/sealant and it’ll look mint bro, you still have good paint. My paint is beyond saving
