    • @SilencerCo
      @SilencerCo  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It depends on the muzzle device you choose. If you go with a flash hider muzzle device it does not need to be timed. If you choose to go with the three port or single port muzzle brake then you will need to time the muzzle device such that the ports are facing out to the side rather than towards the ground and sky. This is easily achieved using the included shims that ship with the muzzle brakes.

    • @kassenz
      @kassenz 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Nope. I have an AAC TIRANT, and it is proprietary. It is a much smaller 1.375 inch diameter Can with smaller mount area, and it does feature not welded baffles. It is for handgun calibers only. The pistons are for handguns, but they do offer a 5/8x24 pitch fixed piston for 300blk. According to AAC, a limit of 1100fps. Blast baffle is steel, but others are stacked 6061 aluminum.
      I would recommend buying a Silencerco suppressor to work with the ASR mounts, and using a rifle suppressor for rifles.

      That is to eliminate the "tuning fork" effect. When the prongs are equal in length they will make a very audible ringing sound due to the reverberating sound-waves anytime you shoot or charge the weapon. In order to run the ASR on the Lunar 9 you would first need to purchase a "H.A.T.E" Ring from Liberty. Then you would be able to attach an ASR Chalie Mount to the HATE ring.

    How about a A2 birdcage ASR mount?

    • @TommyTombstone
      @TommyTombstone 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      A2 birdcages don't have the ratcheting teeth that the ASR locking collar attach to. And the crush washer means you don't have 100% concentricity to bore, which is necessary for a silencer if you don't want baffle strikes. That's why the birdcage has a very large "mouth" instead of a 5.56 sized hole at the end, as suppressor mounts can.
      This is also why silencer mounts use perfectly flat shims instead of crush washers, because crush washers, as the name suggests, allow for timing a muzzle device with correct torque without having to use shims as spacers, by means of crushing the washer under torque. This is why crush washers are not to be reused if the birdcage is removed; it has already been formed to a specific threading of the muzzle device, and as such will not act as a way to hold a torque value. It takes more torque to remove something from a taper than it does to apply it, and the crush washer acts as a "seal" when it is pancaked between the barrel shoulder and the birdcage. Once that seal is cracked, it's no good.

    • @chriswilson1098

      TrapTombstone right, I wish they made an A2 birdcage with the ASR mount. Like this one.
