My dad used to play Evie when we children were growing up. Dad passed away on September 28th of this year, but when I hear this song, it makes me fondly think of the lessons he taught us through the music he played for us!

Today she is old enough to be her own mother, but Evie still speaks with the same happiness and sings the same way as here. She also has that beautiful Swedish smile with dimples & all. What a happy person she is. A real blessing to us all.

I saw her live at ORU somewhere in the 1976-77 timeframe and she did this song. A cold, clear November night as I recall, but maybe not, that was a long time ago, ha. She really was very vivacious, for sure. All us students were very impressed with her.
I MET EVIE AND HER COUSIN KJEL AT A CHRISTIAN BOOKSTORE EVENT IN TORRANCE, CALIFORNIA. SHE IS SO TINY THEY HAD HER STAND ON A BIG BOX RISER! I THOUGHT I HAD NEVER MET A MORE SWEET AND DELIGHTFUL YOUNG LADY. SPECTACULAR!

Personally, I think it was the saddest thing that she left off singinf to follow her husband into his ministry. Maybe one of those times when it should have bern the other way around. At least for a few years, and then settled into a pastoral ministry. She waz a unique teeasure indeed.
