Can confirm. When they introduce that whole array of high quality plugins and sound packs you get for free for buying Komplete later, you'll miss out on them because they don't give them to existing owners of Komplete 15. Kinda nasty if you ask me, they did it with the previous Komplete and the one before that too, so I got burned by them once. Learn from me guys. Had I just waited a few months instead of buying it on release, I would've gotten several hundred dollars worth of content for free.
I haven’t tried all sounds of the V14 Collector yet, so I can wait until Spring 2025 for their 50% sales on upgrades… I never buy them full price, I’m not that impatient!

I also think the Conflux app is like the "combinator" functionality in Reason where it mixes different synth apps and patches into something unique. 😊😊 Thank you, Sanjay. CHORDS, phrases & leap are all FREE. Kontakt 8 player has all 3. Do the smart thing and get kontakt8 player instead of spending 260$ on an upgrade of which you'll use 25 sounds and the rest 2600 sounds sit on the shelf forever. Great vid on telling us the different tiers btw!

Super introduction of Komplete 15. As I really cannot afford everything I just updated my Kontakt from 7 to 8. I think I have so many NI-Sounds that I never use, so it's not necessary to upgrade to Komplete 15 ... Nevertheless, you give an extremely good inside into Komplete 15. Thank you so much.

My best guess would be NI as a company (and by no means are they alone in this) is in a hamster wheel where they feel like they need to continuously ship "new" stuff to keep profits going... while actually fixing UX in their existing plugins would be a lot better for their user base and their reputation. Komplete Kontrol for example has multiple bugs that make it a pain in the ass to use. Routine stuff like sorting and faving presets which is a breeze in other vendors (e.g. Arturia) is unnecessarily hard in a lot of NI's plugins. There's a lot of good stuff in Komplete still, but they make it really hard on you to get the maximum out of them. Depending on your budget and what you want to do, you might have much better options out there these days.
Don’t ever buy any NI individual instruments when they launch. I own Komplete 14 Collectors Edition. When Electric Keys came out I bought it. The fact I already own that doesn’t factor into upgrade pricing to 15 even though that’s one of the new instruments included that I already own. NI will never get $ from me between Komplete upgrades now. Arturia is pretty much the same in this regard.

Ni are very crafty indeed, they broke select bundle into 3 bundles knowing very well when looking closer none of the 3 make sense separated leading you to want to take the costlier next tier 'Standard' version. No wonder they weren't upfront about select bundle during pre-order period. I'll pass this time and stick to my select 14!

From where and how to save the files properly without overloading the memory of your computer but still having the quality of the VST's when you load them for a session or a live setup.. yes all those was sold seperate now again you get them one pack. thats why i not buy single things they will be on next 16 and we get it 50% later and even cheaper bcoz we had older vertsion
If Kontakt 8 is a part of a bundle and I have purchased one already, why there’s no price adjustment? I rushed in buying Kontakt 8 and realised that there’s a Komplete 15 bundle that has Kontakt 8 included. Now I will wait for Kontakt 9 in the next bundle to come. I’ll pass this year.

What would you suggest, and what are the differences? I don’t know If I should choose Beats, mainly to get Battery.

I opened them in Battery. Once you have the expansion installed, open Battery and then you can even search in Battery by the name of the Expansion. Works beautifully as long as you have Battery, of course.
If they have one more edition choice of ‘cinematic’ then I will go for it but I guess it’s just too op for that so only have it along the collector edition I guess ?
I’m switching from EastWest for NI. Compared to NI EastWest is pretty sub par especially when you use the NI keyboard. Your channel pushed me to make the decision. BTW love your stuff. Only question is what MacBook are you using?

You can find the loops from the Expansions in Kontakt, but I like playing them through Battery. So convenient and you can search by the name of the Expansion.
@@cdauterive1 once you get collectors you are kind of trapped into extremely expensive upgrades. It looks like they do allow you to upgrade from 14 CE to 15 standard for example but it's really not a good value. so unless you need tons of mediocre stuff I think better to stick to standard or mayyybe ultimate.
I don't agree with you with the electric keys lagging. They have character and grid. It's actually making me consider selling my KORG Nautilus and get some NI controller.
the Ireland sounds are ok, except for the fiddle sound. its not great at all unfortunately. as an Irish trad player and composer, its very useful but im still to find a good fiddle VST
The upgrade prices are simply insane! How can you update for $199 to K15 from K14 standard with nothing new really! No value added in my view to existing customers
In my case with Logic Pro 11, the drummer can easily replace session percussionist in my view. Had they added at least one of the acoustic guitars from Ultimate, it would have made sense alongside the other additions and K8
Kontakt 8 was a useful upgrade for me, and I like the new UI/workflow. While I have bought roughly 150 NI plugins and expansions over many years, I would NEVER buy any of the Komplete packages. Once you are in for it, you pay lots of pointless yearly upgrade fees (with really impertinent update pricing lately), while only using a fraction of the content. In short: you enjoy OWNING endless stuff without USING it: hilarious. My VST plugins are still too many, but at least I like what I bought and and make quite regular use of it. Komplete is a complete scattershot trashcan product IMO, with little practical use and a lot of useless, time wasting distraction.
Hilarious…. A) you don’t have to buy the yearly updates B) you bought 150(!) products and then talk about having a lot of stuff you won’t use C) the bundle is MUCH cheaper than buying lots of single plugins
@@peoplelikefrank Nonsense. First, I have used most of the products I bought, only putting outdated effects and plugins to the trashcan after years of use. Second, I already owned a lot of plugins - many of which were expansions I bought at 50% (or even less bundled) - before I got this kind of Komplete offfers. They were stupid from the getgo, "kompletely" disregarding how much of the stuff longterm users already owned. At the present point it makes no sense at all any longer for people like me to buy Komplete, as it offers very little I or others really would want to use on top of what I or they have. Argument A is especially naive, as nearly all Komplete owners I know have become victims of their misleading psychological "komplete urge" and update year by year regardless of what they really use, as long as they have that precious "I have it all" and "in principle I COULD use it all" feeling. Of course they don't have to, but they are happy to do so. 🙂My minimal targeted NI buys per year at this point in time cost me much less than Komplete would cost me. So, as I said, I couldn't care less about Komplete.
@@defriggeI think all of the companies, izotope, complete, and pa, are churning out trash as fast as they can, there are better free options and there are much higher quality paid options from other companies for absolutely everything. And I have bought a lot of the stuff over the years. They charge you for everything figured if they want to move a knob or fix a bug. Hundreds of dollars. No reasonable discounts for existing users. They prioritize more people getting their trash and giving up after a few years.
none of them NI is garbage and has been for years. Most of the synths are being phased out and don't have resizable gui's not to mention bugs that have persisted for multiple releases.
Thanks for the video, but it is too big for me. The *really* only thing I would buy a newer version then the one I own is for is the - hopefully by now - scalable interface. The sound quality is great but I wonder how many bytes I really would use - and find (!) - in the forest of the many many gigabites. I'll stick to the older version.

This is specifically Komplete Ultimate 15, many of these instruments are not included in Komplete Standard and some are not in Komplete Ultimate

Dont really like the direction NI is taking. New kontakt feels like its trying to make the music for you. But maaaaaaan does it ever sound good!

The upgrade prices are simply insane! How can you update for $199 to K15 from K14 standard with nothing new really! No value added in my view to existing customers
In my case it was worth 199€. Session Percussionist, K8 and some other goodies. But yeah, it's not a sensational upgrade.
In my case with Logic Pro 11, the drummer can easily replace session percussionist in my view. Had they added at least one of the acoustic guitars from Ultimate, it would have made sense alongside the other additions and K8

Kontakt 8 was a useful upgrade for me, and I like the new UI/workflow. While I have bought roughly 150 NI plugins and expansions over many years, I would NEVER buy any of the Komplete packages. Once you are in for it, you pay lots of pointless yearly upgrade fees (with really impertinent update pricing lately), while only using a fraction of the content. In short: you enjoy OWNING endless stuff without USING it: hilarious. My VST plugins are still too many, but at least I like what I bought and and make quite regular use of it. Komplete is a complete scattershot trashcan product IMO, with little practical use and a lot of useless, time wasting distraction.

A) you don’t have to buy the yearly updates
B) you bought 150(!) products and then talk about having a lot of stuff you won’t use
C) the bundle is MUCH cheaper than buying lots of single plugins
@@peoplelikefrank Nonsense. First, I have used most of the products I bought, only putting outdated effects and plugins to the trashcan after years of use. Second, I already owned a lot of plugins - many of which were expansions I bought at 50% (or even less bundled) - before I got this kind of Komplete offfers. They were stupid from the getgo, "kompletely" disregarding how much of the stuff longterm users already owned. At the present point it makes no sense at all any longer for people like me to buy Komplete, as it offers very little I or others really would want to use on top of what I or they have. Argument A is especially naive, as nearly all Komplete owners I know have become victims of their misleading psychological "komplete urge" and update year by year regardless of what they really use, as long as they have that precious "I have it all" and "in principle I COULD use it all" feeling. Of course they don't have to, but they are happy to do so. 🙂My minimal targeted NI buys per year at this point in time cost me much less than Komplete would cost me. So, as I said, I couldn't care less about Komplete.
@@defriggeI think all of the companies, izotope, complete, and pa, are churning out trash as fast as they can, there are better free options and there are much higher quality paid options from other companies for absolutely everything. And I have bought a lot of the stuff over the years. They charge you for everything figured if they want to move a knob or fix a bug. Hundreds of dollars. No reasonable discounts for existing users. They prioritize more people getting their trash and giving up after a few years.
none of them NI is garbage and has been for years. Most of the synths are being phased out and don't have resizable gui's not to mention bugs that have persisted for multiple releases.

Thanks for the video, but it is too big for me.
The *really* only thing I would buy a newer version then the one I own is for is the - hopefully by now - scalable interface.
The sound quality is great but I wonder how many bytes I really would use - and find (!) - in the forest of the many many gigabites.
I'll stick to the older version.
