yep, I def need to shut up more often
Me too! I'm learning to be more quiet!! Apparently whenever I speak I say something off the wall, or something that hurts feeling. The thing about it I'm the kindest person in the world, I would give the shirt off my back if I could. I'm really working on this.
Same!
Same😂😂
@@andrilalewis7995 That’s too many words for someone for someone who is learning to keep quiet! 😅
Shut up
I have always had a hard time not oversharing. It has affected my work situations, mostly. I've been trying really hard lately not to talk. I even switched jobs to be able to start fresh and keep my life more private. It's hard because I have always been too trusting of others. I don't really think before I speak, and it's gotten me into really awkward situations. Thank you for this.
I know I have always found myself in similar situations, and people won't take me seriously or respect me. To a new start, cheers 🥂
Best of luck moving forward, Valerie. Self-editing is a valuable life skill for sure.
Same happens with me !sometimes I open up even with people whom I know will use that against me . Trying to lower it down for myself
'Silence is Golden!'
"but the comfort of silence is your gateway to better relationships..." enjoyed your talk live in Ocala. excellent!
Thank ya!
Great wisdom here. Silence is such a powerful tool in communication. Most of us don't use it nearly enough.
I agree - modern radio presenters are all motormouths who seem afraid of not filling every second with speech. Silence is golden!
Thank you! Great being w you in Ocala!
I can't be silent! Michal knocked it out of the park with his wise words about the power of silence.
Funny, PG!
Silence is Power.
What a fascinating way to highlight this topic. Let's create more silence.
Let me be quiet and think about this. Excellent presentation!
Love Michael’s humorous approach and storytelling skills.
Excellent presentation Michael! I hope that you and your loved ones have a wonderful holiday season. Barry
What a great talk. And I am a big fan of the space between. It’s also the space in which we can understand the difference between what we feel and what we are expected to feel.
Well done, MAC!
Totally captivated for the entire 10 minutes and loved, Loved, LOVED how Michael both demonstrated the tactical benefits of silence and used humorous stories to reinforce his points!
silence is very important
Great talk Michael. I look forward to seeing where this leads.
Thx, Elgin. Let's figure out a way to work together.
After James Nestor's book Breath came out, I tried his suggestion to tape my lips together to force myself to breathe through my nose for health reasons.
Over a week off from work, I taped my lips together most of the time. It was so therapeutic.
My energy, compassion, and inner peace increased.
My impulsivity and ego decreased.
Similar to meditation.
I recommend it to the curious.
🤐🤭
lol. I must ask what kind of tape did you use ?! 🌺🕊️thx
It would probably take tape to keep my mouth shut too😂 much discipline n self control for sure. A must.
3M Nexcare paper tape 1-inch wide tape.
I tear off an inch of tape (1 inch square) and place over the center of my closed mouth.
It will come off easily when you're ready.
You'll be able to breathe through your mouth but it's there as a reminder, not to clamp the mouth shut.
@@susanswinny588 thx so much 🙂🕊️
You never learn anything while talking❤
This is just terrific
Very interesting. Most not interested in listening, but talking...and talking
Loved it!
Thank ya!
Thoroughly enjoyed and got some bunch of wisdom from Mike!!! What a homour in silence!!👏👏👏👏👏🤣🤣🤣
Thank you, Alen.
✨ Silence is Golden, indeed.. 🕊️✨
Just what I needed. Thanks.
YW!
I am quite an emotional person…I never knew how hard it was, trying not to express myself…It has been extremely difficult for me, but I would say, the most beneficial & I have yet to see, just how beneficial it is…I hope to find out someday
You will. Keep up the good work!
Nicely done MAC. Very interesting and helpful insights.
Hi, Tom!
Appreciate you, bud.
Well done, Michal!
What a great talk! Thanks for the reminder.
Im not a big tall guy, and was in construction for 30 years, on my second year as an apprentice boy my shop steward said don't go to bed thinking i should have said something and i didn't. Those were the words i never forget that my dad should have taught me. My dad never talked to me other than do this do that, he only talks to my older brother
Thanks for sharing.
Love it. I call deadly silence.
Good talk.
2 words love this
Thank you, Juan!
The good thing is that you dont have to bring much information or great ideas when speaking about silence, like he does
Awesome
It's ironic to speak so many words about silence just to say "Shut up and stop complaining."
Great. Presentation! You learn me something! Many Thanks Sir!🎈🎈
You're very welcome!
🤐 is better for the long run 👍
Super, sir🎉
Thank you very much.
Interesting presentation !!! 😍😍
Thank you, Pallabi! Do you do a lot of presenting? What do you speak about, please?
@@michaelangelocaruso I really appreciate the way the presentation is delivered. I used to present seminars years ago and I am still interested in public speaking a lot. I like your content on power of silence which is much required in today's chaotic environment. 🙂
Me too
Shutting up in the comment section as well!
Right I'm ready to talk now for 10 minutes on silence 😂😂😂
Firehosing children with incessant data, at school, is cruel.
Brother john said..."i quit"
"..."
Follow your own advice and be silent.
I don’t get the lawyers joke
MASK 2 ASK?
When I put on a face mask, it tends to hold back my speech, somewhat.
Perhaps, wearing a mask, can help us to practice saying less, and listening more. thanks much
============================================================================
thanks very much. This is super advice...
A ten minute rant about silence ? 😅
Doesn't seem like a rant to me.
rant (verb): to speak or shout at length in a wild, impassioned way
In many ways I'm just another parrot with no interest in being silent.
the guy talks too much
