When my son was a baby we used to swaddle him and as he grew he would still wrap himself up and call it "baby burrito". He's 4 now and still likes to roll himself up in a large blanket and asks if he can do "baby burrito"😂

Thank you for painting such a realistic picture here instead of trying to make life with a newborn look like a breeze! I have a 6 week old and early on watching these kind of videos were so depressing to me, because you’d see all these women with full makeup, dressed to the nines and a baby that seemed to be sleeping through the night on week 2. It is so refreshing to see such a real portrayal of what it can be like.

Dear Leena, just a little advice on breastfeeding and him falling asleep on the breast. Please try to wake him up and have him actively feeding otherwise he'll link sleeping with feeding and he'll always want to feed whenever he wants to sleep. I went through this with my first one and totally changed the routine with my second and it really really helped me sleep and my daughter sleep too.

I think you’re doing a great job at trying to balance life. I’ve had my first baby 3.5 months ago and we were les miserables😅💤🤣 we went to bed at 4 pm one day when baby slept. I can’t forget that for sure. I always had my hair in a mom bun and didn’t brush or wash it for 5-6 days. After 3 months my hair was in split end heaven 😀😀😀 had to chop a good chunk off. Life is hard with a baby.

As an RN and a mom of 3, I get it, but it really isn’t a good idea to constantly hold the baby, even if that is what you want, and I know you do. I had 1 that wanted to be held all the time. In the old days we had a baby seat called kanga- rockabilly-roo. He’s loving the nursing, all three of mine did. It’s a good time to bond with baby. I pumped also, it was a hand pump at home, that way dad could feed when I was at work. I had so much milk , I would go upstairs to the NICU, they had the best electric pump on that floor, I could fill two bags in 15 mins twice a shift. So many babies need breast milk and some moms couldn’t or wouldn’t ( I could never imagine NOT nursing) . Hang in there, you will get your rest. For a tired mom you look great. For me it was a pony tail, leggings, and a loose top. I love your abayas , but I don’t do polyester, I wear cotton and linen, it’s very hot where I live in the Central Valley of California. I love your vlogs. You have the best taste. ✌🏻💜💐

Salamu Aleykum Leena, maybe the sling (I hope that's what it's called in English) would be something for you and jonah. This is simply a cloth where you tie the baby to you or there are also carrier backpacks if you can't tie it yourself. So you can hold him and do something on the side.

When my son was tiny he would always sleep on my husband. Even now that he's a preschooler, almost every night he will sleepwalk from his room into our bed and cuddle up with us.
Just came across this channel and had to say that you all are a gorgeous family. In fact I think you look better (ie downright beautiful) without makeup than with, and if I were you I wouldn’t bother with all that. Just sunscreen (mayyybe some concealer or light powder if going out) and go!

I am a retired RNMS. Make sure the baby not only latches on, but push her face towards a milk duct. You should be able to feel them. She won’t get much milk just by latching on cover part of her lips. You will know when she is getting milk, I hate to say this but it will hurt you a bit at first. That’s ok, the doctor can give you some cream ( or they did in the 80’s) nursing is the best for mom and baby. Hang in there you will get it.✌🏻💜

I feel like my daughter isn’t latched on properly because my nipples don’t hurt but I’ve had multiple midwives and health visitors (I live in the UK) check her latch and they said that it’s good. She’s also not efficient at getting milk out and emptying my breasts. I’ve been having to express milk and giving her that after every feed. Breastfeeding is hard and exhausting!
@@jamalasiddiqi5968give it time! Took me six weeks to normalize get good breast-feeding. There are a lot of videos on TH-cam. You should look it up because I don’t think Leena will have made such in-depth specific content. If the latch is good, keep it up and even if your babies inefficient, they will figure it out❤
