Taken during a remarkable recital at the Piping Centre in Glasgow in 2003. A close up view of just how good Gordon was. At over 12 minutes, this clip was too long to upload in one go.
That is not lorient mornings, there's a bit of a tuning phrase or the very last bar of something that went before but the first tune is not lorient mornings.
No it's not, see my other reply and watch the series, he breaks down at the end of video "Gordon Duncan - Piping Centre 2003 - 4" or at least doesn't stop cleanly, that tuning phrase is probably him just starting up again. Lorient is beautiful, I'm listening to it now, that first tune is not even close.
Not only music -, but history being made: thanks for capturing and showing this!
He was, is and will be a wonderful Piper!
Did, some of you, noticed he is playing Galician tunes?
Yes, we do.

how do you play naturals on the pipes?
What is the tune at 4.38?
Rory Gallagher
@Kota1011 he plays a lot of naturals which are very much deliberate! NOT false fingering!
