I like the fact that you pointed it out as comparable to the other 12" figs from the past, without making that comparison a bad thing. It's pretty clear that to reach the price point that they did to get this figure out, they had to sacrifice a bit on the "legends" standard. At the same time, we are still getting a 12" figure at a relatively decent price that does at least have most of the articulation you expect from a legends figure.
I'd LOVE it if they released The Destroyer with this body. It would suit his character a lot, tall, scary and deadly
I just knew you would point out the comparisons with 4” figs. Unparalleled is always on it! Great review. Really enjoy this figure! The shoulder articulation does bum me out. But not enough to ruin the fig. It’s awesome!
I love that there's a swivel on the lower calf. I wish they added the swivel on the venom from the 2 pack as they have very similar bodies. it just adds that little extra to posing.

Actually they wanted him bigger but they had scale him down cause would cost even more
making it bigger is kinda pointless. The problem is that people want a good size instead of big size
so they can store the figure easily, and when you make the figure bigger, the flaws are more visible
If the cost is an issue, then they just make the price higher
And which will result in no ones buying it
This surtur could fit in a lego scale
When this Surtur was released, since I don't collect MCU, I though "If I ever find one at a reduced price this will be my first MCU figure." it took it's time but I bought one on Amazon Spain a minute ago, no shipping, no import taxes and a 18% discount.
Anyone found a way to overcome that shoulder limitation without having to repaint the figure after shaving off some plastic?

Great reveiw! Happy to see u jump on the Surtur train. I love this figure, I know the shoulders can be better. But over all a bad ass, I got three already. Two open one on ice🤷🏾

The black on the back side of the figure I think would hinder lights ability to pass though which is why I think the back side is lacking. I'll test the theory when I get the figure. For me I'm going to pose him with light behind him so I need as much light to pass though as possible. Great review!

Nice review. It makes sense that this figure has great articulation because he's an upscaled remold of the movie Venom buck. ^^
He isn't. Both have good articulation, and a very similar setup, but it's a different mold.

I consider Thor Ragnarok to be the worst MCU ever and that's unlikely to change. But this figure is tempting as hell! I saw one in Target a few days ago and I had to stand there for a good 16 minutes debating on buying it or not. If I can find some big ass throne for him to sit on, then I'll go out and snag him.
