This reminded me when I went Turkey 7 years ago, nice country, rich in history. Until now, I can still remember how blessed I am when I touched down turkey. I cannot forget, the places Ive been Aya Sofia Museum, Blue Mosque, Cappadocia where all the valleys and caves can be found, Izmir, Pamukhalle md so many interesting places. Just a reminder, Bosphorus is not a river. It is the sea. A narrow sea. Since geographicly rivers born from Mountains and runs to the sea. Bosphorus doesnt start from any Mountain, so thats it.

I visited Istanbul once, sadly that day I was pretty sick. But still I loved the city and the people were really friendly! We visited all the major sites and the Bazaar was crazy! I like how in the elevator up that tower, they showed what the city would have looked like back in history. I guess these days maybe you could use the Google Translate App on your phone to help talk to people lol!

@Nelson: It did NOT change its name! Take it from a Türk! Türkiye has always been Türkiye. Videos like this put out and perpetuate wrong information. The Turkish government simply asked that the country be called by its proper Turkish name. NO CHANGE. I invite you to do a simple internet research as to an explanation. I think you should travel everywhere in Turkey because everywhere is different for example you can do the best your summer holiday in Marmaris, Bodrum, Çesme and you can do the best your winter holiday in Uludag. Turkish people is kind and generous people and Turkey is very entertainment. Also Turkish food is very good everything I have never eaten such delicious food anywhere else

Just FYI, camera is not allowed on the tram because you can accidentally hit someone easily since it super packed on the street. Not everybody is careful, people try to take pictures by hanging out of the tran etc 😄

It's one of those countries that I would really love to visit one day (South Africa as well hehe) Turkiye now? I wonder why the Turks changed it's name? Yes, Turkey has changed its name. Apparently its always been Turkiye (that's how the locals pronounce it), so now I guess they want the rest of the world to pronounce it that way and not for its English way of Turkey.🙂

@Nelson: It did NOT change its name! Take it from a Türk! Türkiye has always been Türkiye. Videos like this put out and perpetuate wrong information. The Turkish government simply asked that the country be called by its proper Turkish name. NO CHANGE. I invite you to do a simple internet research as to an explanation. You can also Google the proper pronunciation.

Wellcome to Istanbul. I live at the here. You should go the Kız Kulesi (Girl Tower). Istiklal street is usually expensive and there are many tourist. I advice In Eyup, in Pierreloti. Absolutelly increadible landscape. Also you should come to Adalar (islands). Have you ever tryed turkish coffee or turkish alchol(rakı). you both are so pretty. have fun, i membered to youtube channel.

I am from Turkey and I want give you recommend about Turkey. I think you should travel everywhere in Turkey because everywhere is different for example you can do the best your summer holiday in Marmaris, Bodrum, Çesme and you can do the best your winter holiday in Uludag. Turkish people is kind and generous people and Turkey is very entertainment. Also Turkish food is very good everything I have never eaten such delicious food anywhere else

Just FYI, camera is not allowed on the tram because you can accidentally hit someone easily since it super packed on the street. Not everybody is careful, people try to take pictures by hanging out of the tran etc 😄

Bosphorous is not a river. It is channel which connects two seas (Black Sea and internal sea Marmara) naturally.

Just a little clarification. "Turkey" has been called "Turkiye" by the Turks since it became a Republic. They're just making sure that everyone else calls their country "Turkiye" as well, not "Turkey".
You should also clarify that this is only for the English language. The rest of the languages didn't change Türkiye's name.
