Spyderco Endura 4 Emerson wave. REAL VERSES FAKE!

Have you ever been a victim of fraudulent sales? Well I havent but someone I know has and he gave me one for the collection as a friendly reminder that life can suck sometimes when you think your buying the real thing but end up getting less than what you expected.

The fourth Spyderco I ever bought was a standard Endura 4 with gray FRN scales. This was way back in 2021. Earlier this year, I bought an Emerson Endura 4. One thing I immediately noticed was the weight of the blade. The Emerson has a heavier blade. I have a lot of Golden Colorado Spydercos and I just recently sold all my Taichung Taiwan models. The Seki City Spydercos feel cheap compared to those two. Actually, the Chinese Spydercos feel like they've got better quality. Having said all that, the Japanese Spydercos have an appeal all their own. I regret having sold my Endela. Currently, aside from my two Endura 4s, I also have a Police 4. My favorites so far are my two Enduras. I'm thinking of getting another one.

The Seki models have the best FRN of all the Spyderco’s. They don’t feel cheap to me at all unless you are comparing them to the super nice titanium Taichung knives.

Phew! Fortunately I bought the real McCoy. I would not have guessed that they were making fake clones of this model. Seems like most fakes are focused on the more high volume/best sold models.
