    I literally remember watching this speech on television with my mom. I was 9 years old. I think it made an impact on me at that young age because of how concerned my mother was as she was listening to this message.

      We were very aware of the danger, even his children. We had drills in school, similar to a fire drill except that instead of leaving the building, we needed to hide under our desks, or go out into the hallways, and face the walls.

      @Norberto Fontanez I appreciate your service to the American people. I remember the 93 attack, but can’t recall any details. I will definitely be looking for more information about it. I was a 23yr old union carpenter installing cabinets on the 65th floor of the U.S. Bank building in downtown L.A…when a radio bulletin came through explaining what was happening on September 11th. I immediately vomited and all workers were evacuated because there was talk about an unaccounted for jet that should’ve already landed at L.A.X. I was sad and angry for a long time. I don’t understand how people have forgotten that we’re all human and desire common interests

      JFK went back on his promise. Given by his father.. For the mob to be able to balance things. And expanding to Cuba with gambling and narcotics. And organised crime. Which would have eased the pressure off the USA. Which is why it irritated the mob i would think. To get into softer drugs. And less deadly forms of organised crime. And pleasure. To balance the situation. And to educate people as well on the other side of the law. A balanced progressive economy. And we need to see all of the Kennedy clan. In the White House. In the next decade. Visiting. Working and legislating.

      President Kennedy is loved by others as well. I live in the UK and probably would never have been born, but for the cool heads of JFK and his administration, especially his brother Robert, who was key in talks with the Soviets. Bless you President Kennedy.. A man of peace!! 🙏🏼❤️

      Think JFK was actually a MAGA Republican, peace through strength, most of the time. but the demoncrat/marxist machine was/is treasonously corrupt: 98% of their medias, fbi doj cia marxist judge's lawyers,... and / but JFK was too young. A great speech never the less. He and his brother actually got away with murder, thus lowering decency in America.

    I was about 11 years old - and I too remember the concern of my mom and dad, but they didn't want to alarm the kids. BUT we all went to church, prayed for peace and mom, dad, and went to confession. We had a fallout shelter in our basement. We MUST once again pray for peace and that cooler head will prevail.

  • @db5837
    @db5837 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    This move by USSR to place missiles in Cuba forced the US to withdraw nuclear missiles recently located in Germany, only minutes of flight time to major USSR cities. We were not told that side of the story back then. It was a mutual stand down.

    • @fifty9forty3
      @fifty9forty3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The missiles you write of were installed in Turkey, not Germany. It is said Kennedy was unaware of those missiles in Turkey believing they had been dismantled prior to this event. There is more to the story of those missiles, their purpose and capabilities if you're interested enough to seek it out.

    His presidency is shrouded in mystery... yet he has appeared to have saved the world. For that, he attains some of the highest respect amongst all the men and women throughout history.
    The CIA may have killed him, it is one of the ideas for his sudden death, yes. And he had his fare share of mistakes, but, in the acting moment, he preformed what he needed to do to save all of us.

  • @influentialgurning
    @influentialgurning ปีที่แล้ว

    For all of his faults, perhaps he truly wanted to prevent other dangerous little lands from obtaining the diabolical capability that he had at his hand. Perhaps that's why he was replaced so spitefully.
    As things shift about, many of those who blindly would have waved a flag in adoration of him would come to wave the flag of a Cuba far away from their shores. The new Cuba is a different square on the same chessboard flipped upside down, in a game moved half a world away from that Cold crisis, where his recent replacement can secrete the stock of pelf, pay off puppets and partners, and parade the perfidy as Progress.

    Reading American Values, Lessons I Learned from My Family by RFK Jr. Really interesting insights into this whole period. JFK was a really unique politician. RFK Jr noted that JFK always tried to see other people’s perspectives. Having served in WW2 and seeing the horror of war and enduring the pain of it very personally, he was VERY opposed to war and committed to pursuing world peace. Most especially, peace for Americans. He did not support the United States being involved in foreign wars. Had he been President in my lifetime, Korea, Afghanistan, the Gulf Wars, all the wars in Israel and our support of the current war between Ukraine and Russia might never have happened or might have occurred but WITHOUT the involvement of the United States. Trump 2024 and Kennedy 2028. God bless and save America!
