    honestly they should just have an option to package a detector with the systems. You will have a break in the first few months then you waste days figuring out how to do this. Great video, when I did this something odd happened where my detector was pinging around 100 just sitting in the middle of the yard? then when i would go to the wire it would get up to 250 range. Have no clue why and it was only back yard not front.

    Whats the use of this video?
    Show actual underground cabling.

      The boundary wires are usually 2-5cm under the ground and this meter will test up to 1.5 meters under the ground. So the results would be the same. For the purpose of the video and teaching people how the detector works, showing it on the surface I believe helps.

    How does the MS6818 compare to the Nofaya NF-826?

    You cannot be heard over the tones. Your voice is absolutely drowned by the noise the device makes.

      Put some tape over the speaker. It would help make it less volume.

      @@robotlawnmowersaustralia7913 i ended up buying one after watching your video. The tool really does work. My wife HATES the noise it makes though. Good thing she rarely ever goes with me to job sites.

      This provide different signal frequencies. It is not often used when locating boundary wire breaks, but can be used if you are having issues with the default frequency.

    I would have liked to see an example done where the wires are actually in the ground .

      this meter can sense the wires even if they are 1mt under ground, so the testing is very similar if the wires are buried 5cm under the ground for robot lawn mowers.

      the NF-820 and MS6818 are almost the same. I use both and find no difference at all between them.

      In Australia you can buy these on our website at the following link:
      robotlawnmowers.com.au/robot-lawn-mowers/other-accessories/underground-wire-locator-nf-826/
      Outside of Australia I don't know, but if you google Noyafa NF-826 I would hope you would find someone.

    Thanks for the video! What if the phone cable is in conduit 20cm underground. Which one is the best locator?

    • @robotlawnmowersaustralia7913
      @robotlawnmowersaustralia7913  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks Trent. If you are just trying to locate the cable then either will do the job. They can still get a signal up to 1500mm under the ground. But if you are looking for a break in the cable then the 826 would give you more information on where the break might be.

    Can this also locate S/C through studs, cement slabs or sheetrock?
