- Today we are focusing a retirement withdrawal mistake that we see happen often, not managing your tax brackets in retirement.
It’s important to be aware of which tax bracket you are in today, and what tax bracket you expect to be in further into retirement.
Let's take a look at Jen's situation and how she can leave an extra $70,000 to her kids and grandkids by avoiding the OAS clawback.

Excellent video, excellent advice. So important to know this.
Glad it was helpful!
Tax brackets also increases every year which need to be taken into account.
Great video by the way I have watched your other videos as well. What planning software are you using?
Do you get tax break when you turn 65, I know the basic tax braket is $15000.
Hey Mark, very informative video. If you apply the same scenario to couples at age 65 by splitting pension income including RRSP, How much taxes each has to pay and how much they will need to withdrawal, and how much will left in estate.
Happy to help; I can answer direct questions via email: msabourin@harbourfrontwealth.com
The OAS clawback is based on NET income not gross, correct? Also., curious as to what planning software your company uses?
Net is excluding the OAS. Not taxes.
Please show me in law what these unlawful personal income tax funds pay for. Where does this money go? Can't seem to find any statute that states what it will pay for. Where is the Preamble to the tax act? No preamble means the statute is null and void. Stop paying unlawful taxes to a corrupt state.
