      @@nigodemoscarfo3149 I think that's what Guru was trying to get him to see, we need to go pass things we can't prove beyond anecdotal evidence and confirmation bias to the reality of what we're dealing with. That's why Guru pointed out the different beliefs and showing that arguing about these beliefs does not change the real problems that we have in our communities.

    i’m at 28 year old woman who loves hip-hop thanks to my 40 year old sister who introduced me to hov around 6-7 years old because that’s all she ever played. i’ve been binge watching these podcasts and my partner told me “whatchu doing in the barbershop, this barbershop talk!”🤣 i told him “I LOVE IT HERE!” 🤣🤣🤣

    When Bigga & Hynaken had a disagreement Guru was able to bring things back in perspective regarding how you can find middle ground in order to meet the optimum goal.

    This interview was top tier and pure gold. I was so locked in that I could watch this another 5hrs. These are the conversations we need to be having on a public platform and not just behind closed doors. I stand for this and support it 100%. This interview is POWERFUL. It definitely hits different to see a room of black men in a familiar environment, the barbershop, having meaningful dialogue, speaking their truth, challenging each other’s minds, and respecting one another.     I'm with Mecca. It's insanely impressive to pull off world changing literature in one write. It's still world changing literature no matter the length of time or rewrites, BUT! The mental-spiritual- soul connection to CONNECT WITH THE ANCESTORS/STAY PLUGGED IN THE ZONE. AT THAT LEVEL. WITH DECADES OF CONSISTENCY. WITH THE FIRST SHOT. Is hella impressive imo.

    They stepped all over Mec's point about advances in technology. He's doesn't deny the benefits, he just acknowledges the negative effects of it. The advances today are so technical that people can't adapt to changes in a meaningful way. Once a job gets automated, there is no way for the average person to exist in that space. There are always people left behind when technology changes and it's important to acknowledge it.

    Guru is my new favorite dude just for the simple fact he was using scenes the Wire as a analogy for how somethings in real life occurs. The Wire was fictional but a lot of those stories were relatable and just hearing Guru is refreshing because as a 30+ black man myself; some of the stuff he’s morals and ethics aligned with some of my philosophies.
