Oh no! This guy helped me lose a lot of weight by getting me to quit McDonalds.
Despite his issues, I'll always be thankful for him.
You said quit McDonald’s like it was a drug 🤣 the sad part….it is.
@MrDirtyd405 Yeah. It was cheap and fast. I didn't even think about it.
You made McDonald's sound like a hooker
There are a lot of people that will be writing similar sentiments over the coming days; there was a good reason _Super Size Me_ was such a huge hit among documentaries and he opened a lot of people's eyes to what they were _actually_ eating out of convenience and just how unhealthy it was.
He was a raging alcoholic, the documentary was a lie. Another guy only ate Mcdonalds and lost weight
by eating under the daily calorie limit
Rest in super size peace, Morgan Spurlock.
Jesus Christ will give him lots of 🍟!
😊
Yooooo you stupid 😂😂😂 Classic
Cringe
See you in hell , Morgan
😂"Super size peace". I wonder if all that McDonalds food back then altered his body/DNA just enough to make him become more susceptible to cancer? Just like smoking can, excessive drinking, etc.
So sad to hear. Scary when you are 54 and people are passing away at 53. Rest in peace Mr Spurlock
He was an alcoholic
@@MagatdestroyerI assumed he died from eating mcdonalds
@@Magatdestroyer dam really?
@@kelleykelkel3370 yes. Even in the super size me documentary the one doctor says that the necrosis of his liver has only been seen in severe alcoholics. Suprise surprise. He was still drinking even during the filming
@@liamflatley2367 not sure how a documentary 20 years ago has a bearing on it. He died of cancer, did you even bother to watch the video before posting?
Supersize me was literally EVERYWHERE when I grew up in the early 2000's. RIP brother we'll miss you man.
literally? stay off social media man, rotting you out.
It was fake, he was drinking heavily during filming that's why his liver enzymes were high
He was an alcoholic... He lied in that documentary... We all know McDonald's isn't healthy. No one needed to tell us that.
Next, people like him will tell people to cut salt out of your diet completely.
McDonald's: Ladies and gentlemen...we got em
Fauci ouchie got him
@@dpalmer1557me when I make stuff up. It caused cancer now too? Make it make sense.
@@af6462No, his alcoholism did him in
Thank u bra somebody who is finally smart and knows.......

RIP Mr. Spurlock
May your friends and family be comforted with the many memories of times together as they grieve and honor your legacy.
RIP Morgan Spurlock you inspired me to lose weight and I achieved my goals the documentary and your work really helped me! I will forever be grateful I wish you and your family the best rest in peace.❤️🙏🏼
Wow - gone WAY too soon! His documentary was so powerful. RIP, sir.
A lot of it was BS
It was full of lies 😂
Looks like we have some McDonald's Corporation trolls in the comments ^^^ lol
@@firenze5555 They aren't trolls, seriously. Dude's weight gain came from alcohol. Also a lot of other people tried doing his experiment and none had the same results.
no, he literally lied. dude was half in the bag when the cameras were off literally every day and didn’t mention it.
RIP🙏🏼
Rest in Peace. Thank you for making a difference by exposing fast foods. I'm sure you extended the lives of thousands of people through your work. Strength to his family and friends.
Just here to express my deepest sympathy to his friends and family. I'm deeply sorry for your loss. 53 is to young. I'm happy that anytime you miss him you can watch his work. Sad news indeed.
Morgan Spurlock rest in peace 🕊️🙏😔
I have to admit, this one surprised me. I was actually not expecting this.
I've watched his stuff for years and while I may not have agreed with him on much, I was always entertained.
RIP TO YOU SIR! ONE OF THE BEST DOCUMENTARIES I'VE EVER SEEN... THANK YOU FOR SHARING YOUR EXPERIENCES WITH THE WORLD! #SuperSizeMe
Damn, I liked this guy. RIP. If you liked super size me, go watch 'holy chicken'. It was another doc he made about opening a chicken fast food restaurant, exposing a ton of dirty secrets from the chicken industry along the way. It was good from what I remember.
@@TheGreatIndoorsman-fr1td I found out about that yesterday. And then he dies...
He was quite the side show medicine man used car salesman bull shit artist 👌
Uh, dude, Supersize Me was thoroughly debunked and is a terrible documentary 😂
He was a garbage human
No wayyyy 😢 so young 🙏🏼 i literally remember watching this in class we all voted to watch the awesome McDonald's documentary 👏🏻 he fought hard enough to enjoy his last days with family. May him Rest In Paradise

Super size me is still one of my favorite movies, he will be missed
My condolences to his family. I always enjoyed his work. RIP Morgan. ❤
I watched that movie like 10 times such a entertaining documentary
yeah. his style of telling the story was entertaining. I enjoyed it.
I like the chicken sandwich sequel too
It was great and it really made you think twice about eating fast food. Fast food IS crap.
Too bad you were duped. Turns out the movie was full of lies. Not kidding look it up. You literally wasted hours of your life on someones con job.
@@Goodhello369 Sounds like you are the one who is conned by the big food corporations who lobby Congress to keep the US people in the dark about what's in their food. Fast food is crap and so is McDonald's. Spurlock stated the obvious.
When we watched Super Size Me, it got us in the mood for Mc D's and we felt AWFUL afterward lol. Thank you for your hard work. May you rest in peace.
Turns out a lot of the movie was incorrect, a lot of his weight gain actually came from drinking tons of alcohol
Watching Super Size Me made you WANT to eat McDonald's?
You're a mark.
@@jackeagleeye3453 That would make sense.
Supersize me was a big lie
Oh man this is sad day R.I.P Morgan Spurlock 1970-2024 age 53 super size me documentary terrible tragedy
Cancer sucks :(
RIP Morgan Spurlock, thank you for pioneering on health class
Enjoyed his documentary, wonderful fellow. Rest in peace, and make documentaries there too.
This guy was one of the main reasons I started making documentaries, and I can definitely see his influence on everything I’ve done. I loved 30 for 30, Gonzo filmmaking, he really nailed it in a way no one in the states had. Like our Louis Theroux with a handlebar mustache. I thought that was fitting, respected his approach, and mainly, learned what I wanted to do from this man. Rest in peace!
He lied in the documentary and made money misleading people. Overeating 5000 calories with a destroyed liver with alcohol
Spurlock lied about nothing. There's a lot of trolls in the comments who are obviously McDonald's corporate and fast food industry hacks.
@@firenze5555 He literally admitted he lied. He didn't tell the doctors he was an alcoholic. They couldn't understand why his liver was so screwed. He didn't reveal this to anyone, and led people to believe his diet caused his liver damage.
@@AlexOjideagu2 You can absolutely get cirrhosis of the liver from regularly eating fast food. Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is the term for a range of conditions caused by a build-up of fat in the liver. Typically it is seen in people who are overweight or obese. NAFLD can lead to serious liver damage, including cirrhosis. FAST FOOD IS POISON.
I remember in elementary school our teachers played this movie a lot. Thank you Mr Spurlock for helping he a part of my childhood and an icon of the early 2000s. May you eat all the unhealthy foods you could ever want now.
Oh God Super Size Me was a Health class staple in the 2000s. Simple, funny and informative.
Wow rip he was so young and supersize me was awesome
I’m 57. 53 is not young👍
It's young to die. Be sick and dangerously ill and you will see
Don't be an alcoholic
A lot of bitter McDonald's Corporation trolls in the comments section today, lol.
Morgan did so much more than just a fast food film. He was brilliant man. I especially loved his 30 Days series where he'd step into the life of a totally different person for a month. I wish the powers that be would have kept that series going. Might have helped people of all types learn empathy for once.
He saved my life with Super Size me…rest in peace 👑
Dont tell us what type of cancer he had or if it was vaccine induced, because that would be "embarrassing ". But make sure you let everyone know about the sexual assault allegations because that's totally relevant information
He changed my life we love you
Rest in peace to Super Size Me Morgan Spurlock 🕊️🕊️🕊️🌹🌹🌹😔😔😔
REST IN PEACE. That movie was honestly 20 years old.
I love Morgan Spurlock rest in peace you beautiful man
The world won’t be the same without Spurlock!!! 😭😭😭😭
Yes it will lol
Praying for his family and friends and fans 🙏🙏🙏🙏
We used to watch him as a documentary in health class
Even in Austria in Middle School we watched his documentary 👏
We should be focusing this example on the importance of alcoholism recovery not a smear campaign.
He'd still have 30 days left on this earth had he never eaten all that McDonalds.
And, 30 more years if he wasn't a 40 year alcoholic
Way more than 30 days. That fake "food" poison probably took years off his life
Was he doing a documentary on Boeing??? 😬
man, been seeing this alot. people from my generation dieing so young, Tom siezmore, bill paxton, phillip seymor houfman ect...... scares me, makes me realize my time is getting short. I think i was 23 when supersize me came out. i would have never guessed this man would have passed so young, thanks morgan, for the memories. and good luck on your next journey. You made a big mark here, think im gonna go watch super size me. lol
30 days of McDonald's did not kill this guy. Plenty of folks have eaten at McDonald's far more often than 30 days.
The guy that got rich telling everyone the most obvious fact - that eating fast food every day isn’t healthy? Not sure why he deserves admiration or praise. Maybe I should make a documentary where I don’t eat or drink anything for 30 days and reveal the shocking fact that my health declines. Or maybe I should make a documentary where I eat nothing but Snickers bars for 30 days in an attempt to prove that Snickers bars are baaad for your health. Then, when I die at a young age, y’all can mourn and pretend that I was some enlightened genius.
🤔🍺... Since there's a war going on in the Middle East you can eat fried camel balls for the next 30 days and see what will happen and make a documentary while you're doing it...
Somebody had to say it
He didn’t die from eating fast food. He died from pancreatic cancer (which only has a post procedure survival rate of

Sad to hear, that documentary was one of my childhood's favorite.
Just think how many "food addicted lives" were affected. A job well done pointing out the poison we are being sold Morgan. May you rest in peace knowing you made a difference.
Ironically dying of alcoholism after admitting Super Size Me was bogus
Yeah he was a flawed man but his documentary him taking that huge risk to eat that fast fake "food" poison day after day to expose its harms, that opened many people's eyes and probably saved some lives.
Oh no! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Ahhh maaaan.... :( i liked this guy.... RIP MORGAN.

Damm, I remember watching him sometimes in middle school I was like 14, im 24 now, my health teacher was fine asf 😩it was hard to concentrate.
I had a teacher like that too Lol
I remember his documentary. Thought it was super interesting. Rip ❤️
It was all a lie. He lied about his health and was an alcoholic, most of the damage to his body was done from alcohol but he blamed it on McDonalds. Not saying McDonalds is healthy, I don't eat that crap, but it was all a lie. Look it up.
RIP Morgan
The documentary helped me to stop eating McDonald’s anymore I then switched to Burger King! On The serious side, cancer sucks I lost my brother and best friend they were both in their 50s.
His "Inside Man" documentary series was insightful and noteworthy.
Very sad:( rest in peace

I bet his famous documentary did some long term damage
Inspired to never eat at Mcdonald’s again party because of this man

He was one of my idols as far as documentary and docu-comedy filmmaking was concerned. There'd be no @SkinnyEMedia without him and a few other names. Shame his legal and moral issues and from what I was told, his alcoholism got the better of him. He, and Anthony Bourdain, will never be forgotten in my memory. R.I.P.
This and what's going on with Nick Rikietta are the most alarming examples of the consequences of excessive alcohol consumption I've ever seen in such a short period.

he probably saved a lot of lives
That is the weirdest way to end a memorial video
Thats what I was saying. "Let's remind everyone how much of a POS he is." Kind of a weird thing to do for a memorial video.
😢 My condolences 💐
Sturlock highlighted how junkfood affects us negatively , but a staple diet of processed food (packaged supermarket foods) can also affect us in less obvious ways .Cancer is a manifestation of such long term affects .
Mcdonalds says "we are lovin it"😂😂😂😂
May he R.I.P 🙏🏽🕊💐
I just Googled him a couple of weeks ago when I learned he had cancer. I didn't know about the SA stuff until then, but was low-key impressed that at least he ADMITTED it. Wow!

May he rest in peace🙏🏻
His death was not related to the 2004 month full of eating McDonald's he had cancer
😢
No this should be a lesson that diet is not a meaningful guarantor of health or disease, life or death. People will die regardless of diet. Mostly, diet fads are promoted because people make money from them.
Of the 50 oldest people currently alive, do you know how many are men? ZERO! Genetics play a much bigger role than diet for longevity. All of those women had different diets.
Rest in Peace 🙏
