Fantastic how to video clearly explaining the install process. I did not want to buy nitrogen to test for leaks. I decided to just use a digital vacuum gauge to check for leaks. Installed my Turbro over a year ago and it has been purring like a kitten. Love mine!
this is the ideal instillation, if you are short on tools, you could pump the nitrogen out by pumping a little refrigerat same that the unit use before connecting the pipes.
Hi William from Africa Ghana Hi master how are you I hope everything My good Samaritan God bless you have never seen search a good Man like you Thank you my Master you are great
Hi Teedy, since you're a professional, is it not best to open the 1/4 inch pipe first before the vapour line, why because you won't lose much oil from the compressor through the small line and no much oil will flow into the piping
Thanks for the walkthrough. I noticed you used a 60amp Non-Fusible AC Disconnect Box, the Minisplit 18kbtu 230v on the compressor says Max Fuse 15A, will it be redundant to use a 30amp fusible disconnect with 15 amp fuses or let the 20A double pole breakers provide the protection through the 60amp nonfusieable disconnect ?
im truly struggling with what mini splits to put in my airbnb property. ive watched multiple videos you have posted and fill like i can trust a suggestion from you. I have been looking at Della, Tosot, costway, and recently Turbro units to fit my budget . Can you help me choose ? I noticed you had installed a turbro unit in one of your videos, im curious what you think of that unit and also which one provides good heating at low outdoor temps. Our temps avg about 20-40 through winter but can deep into the teens at times . thank you for any input .
I work in the electrical utility field. How would somebody go about working part time in hvac? Online certification? Online tech classes? Or just ask to shadow somebody on the weekends?
Have a client ask me about his mini split installed but being ignored by installer and i noticed his dimmable led start flciking really bad when the compressor turns on the mini split not the fan or heat side but only on the cool side i dont know know about these things but im hoping his inverter isnt a issue or compressor
Be careful about bending those linesets down 90 degrees coming out of the wall the way he did unless you really know what you’re doing. 1/4” isn’t bad, but if you have a 1/2 or 5/8 suction things can go south quick if you kink it. These things are very sensitive to restrictions. Use a pipe bender if in doubt
Excellent video! However you overlooked what is required before one starts installation- checking with your municipality's Bureau of Safety and Permits to determine if a permit has to be pulled. Since this is a permanent HVAC installation, many municipalities will require a permit with the option of having the work inspected when done for Code compliance. I know of one landlord in New Orleans that put in 7 mini splits using handymen. He ended up paying a $325 fine for each installation plus is having to pay to rewire the main line back to the service box to bring it up to code. Just sayin'.
What’s up with this video? It’s filled with many errors. What’s going on did you loose your tube cutter and flaring tool? You never leave vertical loops,or trust those flares, not using a torque wrench and those are the major errors. What’s going on?

Would love to see a video on a 5-zone mini split install. Not much content out there on that. Great video.
I have heard good things about these units.

its all about your preference and what you want to do
the breaker will protect in this case
Is it better to put outdoor units in direct sunlight or shade my manual says avoid direct sunlight
@@Leon-e9l its an outdoor unit, it doesn't matter with shade or no shade.

Well I have a question for you
Are you going to install it yourself?Or have someone else install it for you?
@@TaddyDigest the plan was to mount it myself and have my hvac guy stop by and pull vacuum on it for me.
Any info would be super helpful .

Ask to shadow someone would be the best option for sure

After installing eleven of these and observing the plumbing under the sink at the beginning all I can say, "ARE YOU SERIOUS?"
@@pooroldroy1756 I highly doubt Tad did that installation.

I don’t think that mighty bracket was very helpful. Looked like it was in the way.
