Mauritius scam or what ?? BE AWARE OF SCAMMERS IN MAURITIUS

Me and my 3 others girlfriends went to Mauritius for holiday, this women we met in tourist shop and we took her package for local sight viewing and transportation. On our last day, in 3 hours to go for airport transfer and during packing up in the room. Suddenly our door knocked by this women, she told us that her son is going to go for surgery because today her son's wiener was stuck in the bicycle ( not sure how to describe) and need money to pay the hospital fee and surgery. We got confused but at the end we gave her 1600 rupees . Hope her son is okay. She promised to pay us back on the way to airport and told us our driver (who happened to be her colleague) will drop by to her mother's house near airport but when we asked the driver,he didn't seems to care and just straight send us to airport so we didn't miss our flight.
