They, of course, fail miserably and that's when Aqua makes her speech about what it truly means to be an idol from her point of view. I don't remember the title but it's one of the longer ones and was uploaded a few years ago (I believe Rushia was still in the agency by that point).

I really enjoy how Laplus just act like any other regular youtuber/liver and collab with whomever she wanted, without giving a shit about unicorns. A rarity among Holomem JP, although pretty common with ID.
Yeah she ripped the bandaid off pretty fast after initially being a little nervous and just playing with some of the guys off-stream (I think with Kobo? I forget now). Good for her. Of course the girls can collab or not collab with other agencies and/or with the guys as they please. It's just not as big a deal as some people make it. More of the OGs do than don't at this point.
She already had antis and unicorn after her that she kind of not giving a damn.

Not only that, but Laplus holds the distinction of being the very first holomem to ever interview a Hollywood star. This was only a few months after her debut and she's a rather big DC fan, so I can't imagine how thrilled she was at getting that chance. The interview itself is not really cringe either, although you could tell she was nervous. Overall, she did a fantastic job.
Nani?! I don't really know much about the Batman movies or the actor (don't @ me, movies just aren't the kind of entertainment I actively chase), but that sounds crazy. I assume there was a translator and it was done in English?
@@MrCh0o There was a translator who helped them communicate and answer her questions. Laplus mostly spoke in Japanese throughout the interview.
I don't know much about Robert Pattinson either, though it seems like he's a nice guy and he was certainly having fun during the interview. He's rather beloved these days and is considered a good actor by many despite starring in the Twilight movies, which he actually doesn't like by the way.

Haachama, Shion and Laplus are only in their early twenties. The rest are not too far behind (25-35). I don't know who the oldest holomem is, but I don't think it's more than 40. Ironically enough, the newer gens are actually older than the first few ones because there's a lot of requirements in order to get employed in Cover Corp. as a talent.

Pain in the butt and cringe are two different things.
Cringe, as pointed out in the video. That’s one reason and the main reason which I know.
The other reason is because of the fact that either people say nothing, they give an incorrect reply or because of the fact that she got the Yamada replies. This is the pain in the butt part.

This makes me wonder. If Hololive suddenly made being an idol optional, how many Holomem would immediately stop wanting to be idols? I feel like if that happened you'd only have like less than 10. Or maybe the only one left would be Sora.

After thinking about it, I think it’d be about 25% who would still want to perform idol duties. By that I include most people who regularly release new music/covers. Everyone else is probably ok just streaming.
Several of the girls have an active music career and emphasize that they like being idols. It'd definitely be more than just Sora.

Not really, back then a bunch of them like AZKi, Sora, Suisei, Roboco, Matsuri, Aki, Fubuki, Choco, Towa, Polka, and maybe more I forgot, had already collabed or at least interacted with Holostars, and even people like Subaru and Miko collabed with male VTubers from Nijisanji. Also, as far as I remember, Matsuri and Fubuki were the only two who received a significant negative response. So, this was never really a taboo, it's just that the community started making a big deal out of this, be it to praise or to complain.

Times have changed thanks to the efforts of the Holo girls to include the boys in the likes of Matsuri and Fubuki have made sure that the boys get their recognition as well
