OH MY GOD ITS THE KING BEAN! I stumbled upon this but hi I’m Aygiarn from the Castrum run - awesome to see you went through with making the guide video, good stuff! \o/
Thank you for making this guide! I haven't found one that really explained what to look for in stage 3 til now, looking forward to going back in and getting some more consistent wins :)
You are a legend. I had 24 wins at the time of coming across this and I still learned like 5 things I hadn't thought of. Didn't notice that the first two sets of yellows were in sets of 8, not 4. And the tricks you mentioned to simplify what route you should take were genius. Easy like and sub from me. Thanks King.
Another useful tip for winning, go to whatever the dead datacentre in your region is as far from prime time as possible. The less people in the game, the higher the odds you win. It cuts your mgf rewards, but those are irrelevant, as everything the vendor has is so cheap you probably already have it if you have played for an hour or so. You still need to know the course obviously, so this video is still invaluable as well.
Another tip: at the start, it's optimal to move towards the spinner that spins first. You should be able to always squeeze by without stopping if you move in a straight line and then hug the inside edge.
Same, I play with husband and his brother, they have both won and I've never won and so I raged quit on them. I think they were shocked as I've never done that before, but this game just got my heckles up!
Thanks for the guide, but sadly with 150 ping, on a good day, there's no way I'm winning 100 times. It's sad to see that they didn't put all that effort, compared to the rest of the event, in the netcode or even tested it.
Ping is such a massive factor that it's actually extremely discouraging. I basically just go to a dead data center and queue hoping for solo instances, cause it's the only reliable way for me to get wins between people with similar skills but better ping and the rampant amount of cheaters. SE really dropped the ball on this one and they do literally nothing to fix these issues. If they can't fucking fix it then they need to stop locking titles behind wins, it's fucking stupid.
