Pacifica's development in Season 2 was a total blessing for the shippers, and I think a lot of Pinecest jumped ship the moment Dipper had a more reasonable potential love interest. (I can't explain Stancest though. And I REALLY can't explain the people who cross Stancest and Pinecest.)
