- In this LEGO City Update I place the new 2023 AVENGERS TOWER! I wanted this beauty to be somewhere prominent in the LEGO city and I think I found the perfect spot for it! The set comes with so many minifigures and you better believe that I created a story of a massive Marvel battle! In addition to placing the tower I also discuss my potential plans for a HUGE city change.

I'm not a fan of that hollow white & black skyscraper. It really takes away from the Avengers tower and completely masks your beautiful Daily Bugle from the best angles. It draws your eye away from these other awesome tall sets you have that are meant to tower over everything else.
I preferred your streets in the other direction (the way you had before). It allowed you to see all the stories at street level. Also your putting the tall buildings in the front and the smaller ones are getting lost in the back. But it is your layout and if it makes you happy that's all that matters.
I think the easiest way to grow the Avengers Tower would be to add on from the bottom instead of changing the dimensions of the whole tower
In real life, where the Avengers tower is located, the Metlife building actually sits atop another smaller structer, which is on the same City Block as Grand Central Station. I think if Bricksie wanted to make the tower taller, just adding a smaller structure to place the building on top of would be the easiest and if he wanted to be more elaborate, could add the station terminal as well whether you're following the rebrickable model or not.
I agree, stretching the curves of the building will probably not look right. Keeping the same footprint and just building up would look better
MetLife is still there in the movie, just a lot of the top is cut off

Bricksie, some of the Mocs for additional basement floors look pretty good from rebrickable and I think you have some of the sets needed for this one including the old avengers tower

The avengers tower is so beautiful and day after day more and more great sets come out like the orient express
Daily Bugle is too big, it shouldn't be bigger than the Avenger Tower in my opinion

Maybe the Daily Bugle could be skinnier, it looks too wide

Ever thought of putting the Michalesters house in the winter village? I know it's not a village looking home but it is Christmas related, which means you can free up 4 base plates, but I don't think a big empty chunk in the lego city would look nice lol
I really like the idea of moving the bowling alley by the beach and the residential neighborhood. It makes sense and allows that set to shine.
I say add the base by Brick Artisan. It would give the tower a bigger boost in view and make it stand out more 🎉

The hospital looks kind of out of place in relation to the buildings next to it. The Avenger Tower looks great from all sides so why not place it where the hospital is (?)

Hi! To gain space in the city, you could integrate the home alone house somehow into the winter layout since it has a snowy roof.

It looks great in the middle. It doesn’t block other buildings in your city.
Create the base from rebrickable and clear out the residential. Allow your city to have empty lots. Love the location of the Leviathan!

Having the sitcom tower near avengers tower was a good idea. The black widow helicopter could have worked near or over the avengers tower even touching if you wanted to tell a different story, different Natasha from a different time. All in all good story telling

I like the new set but I think yours is more unique and adds more character to your layout however they could be mixed together
I think making the Simpson house and Home alone houses smaller and then having all your residential buildings on one side of the tracks. Then move the bowling alley where your small houses behind the quickie mart.
i dont know about anything else regarding the houses and winter village etc but regarding the avengers tower you needed to bring it to foreground and i think you need to give it a base to increase the height.. its new its the avengers tower its a landmark in lego history for the marvel/super hero line it need the attention and time and spotlight 😊

If you super size the Avenger Tower, do it so the landings platform can support that helicopter.
I think you should find a way to incorporate the Ironman suites into your Advengers tower building 😊 just an idea
I took my home alone house out of my village the other day and it’s now part of my Christmas display and it will get packed away and brought out every year for Christmas. I just don’t have the room and it does take up a lot of space
1. The Avengers Tower deserves a base, no matter where you put it. Doesn’t have to be super huge; you can use Brick Artisan as inspiration. The Tower just doesn’t look as good at ground level.
2 When Christmas is done, just move those houses under the city for storage until next year’s inspiration. You’ve got enough going on without adding them to the city.

You should remove your custom skyscrapers ,they look cool ,but the avengers tower is more important , i think you should keep the Simpson's and the home alone houses

Love the placement of the new Avengers Tower. Your old Avengers Tower looks amazing, but the new one looks epic and has more details.
I really hope that there will be a base (building) MOC set in the future that fits your Avengers Tower and your Lego city. That will make the Avengers Tower look taller and more authentic.
@Bricksie you should keep your Avengers Tower and turn it into the Stark Tower. Keep your hard work
You could add the Metlife building underneath it, similar to how it is in the MCU.
The bottom of the Metlife building is the base of the building.
Edit: Barely a few seconds after I posted this comment my idea was stolen! Jk. I totally think you should grow the height of the tower by adding the base!

The Avengers Tower needs to be in the center of the city. It represents the heart and soul of a city.
I would say definetly double the avengers tower so much the actual plane fits on it. You have 2 towers there that you aren't happy with so might as well put your centerpiece. But 100% doubling it.
I would use the home alone house in the winter village as a big hotel.
To boost the height i would make a really tall platform for it to sit on with fake lift entrances allong the side of the platfrom facing the raod!!

I love the new setup and all the stories! I agree that the lawns for the home alone and Simpsons houses are just off scale for the city. I've always thought they drain the energy of that area.

I would really like to see you use two Avenger towers or raise it up with a parking garage under it.
I kinda love it at the first place in the back. I think it just needed to be turned 180 degrees. I think its good having the tall sets at the back and small ones in front

I think freeing up 8 baseplates is a good idea to put a pin in. Lego is inevitably going to come out with more really cool sets that you'll want in your city and you'll need room for them. I've noticed when you get empty baseplates you fill them in really fast anyway so I don't think it'd be a problem regardless.
i think you need to change daily bugle into normal size. And i really wish you'd full pirated theme replaced that home alone house etc. so half city, half ocean with full pirated
I think a great way to free up a bit of space is to make the residential houses so that are more like semidetached or terraced houses more like how the downtown is! Removing yard spaces etc. also can we know what the black and white building is? Maybe I’ve not been watching since that has been explained but I’m intrigued!

I kind of miss the layout with pop culture street. The new layout has a wall of modular which takes away from the rest of the city. Also, some fo the custom skyscrapers look out of place like the black & white one and the multi-colored one that swirls. Just my opinion, I absolutely love your city regardless!

I think what you should do is build the bottom of the tower from the movie and put it on top of that

Don't think about how you can free up more space in your city! You need to think about how to buy or rent a bigger apartment/garage where you can build a bigger city! :D
Thinking of comics theme....you should try to integrate Bat cave in the dungeon area....
On a scale of importance, the home alone and Simpsons are way cooler than the residential area. I would say put the residential houses under the tables for the future.

you should add another floor to the bowling alley and maybe make it like a board game floor for all those wargaming games like D&D and War Hammer, etc....as you mentioned the bowling alley kind of gets lost with all the larger buildings around it...another floor would help

I agree with others here. You’re best off leaving the tower alone and just adding a base to reflect how the tower is in the movies.
A really different angle to expand the Avengers Tower… buy another one and mirror build it! I know it won’t look like the original one, but hey, be a little different/crazy for once! 😂🤪
Normaly when you make a layout you place all you high building in the back and the more to the front the lower the building get

Your city looks amazing, I just think the Avenger Tower should be increased by 1 or 2 floors…as it should tower over every other building in your city. You are modifying most other buildings? Keep up the fantastic work, love this channel!!!!

I would see if it was possible to add a groud floor to the Avengers tower, either in the same style as the existing tower or by bricks but keep it on the same baseplate. Most of the time no one would see that the angle is different than on the rest of the tower. For that reason maybe a brick floor would be the thing.
you’ve been talking about making a diagon alley diorama, what if you remove those buildings, shorten the home alone and simpsons yards to move the bowling alley to, and then give the avengers tower that large open space?
I think you are trying to cram waaaay too much things into the city, if it was mine i would get rid of half the stuff in the city and only keep everything thats really good.

I've avtually been working on a base for the tower that adds all the detail and height of the Grand Central, but only on one 32x baseplate! You really don't need to use such a huge area for the base (64x48??)
I would leave it there until the future for sure until get some more buildings then would do the major overhaul of the city.
