Brilliant! "Feel it. It's all you're ever feeling, anyway. Rootless, no essence, no root. Essenceless essence. Groundless. Not a 'thing'. But yet here it is. But you can't say what it is, nor can you say what anything is. Only that it is. Empty of thingness. Full of life. Absolute magic. No root, nothing to be found, yet palpably here. Always only the absolute indescribable inconceivable purity of being. Because infinite being is all there is" 💯 ❤
The thought arose, 'Wherever I'm trying to get to, will be reality's display - the appearance of the moment - if an approximation of wherever I'm trying to get to, shows up. And the 'I, trying to get to wherever' is reality's display - the appearance of the moment. Leading on from this, is there anything to fear, or long for, if every moment is reality's display? Much of suffering seems to be in comparing and judging this moment to a memory of 'better times', or anticipating that if I was at ok, and now I am at less ok, the future may well be a significantly worse reality. But if this is always reality's display, those criteria to evaluate this, don't really properly apply. It feels like a gamble to stop worrying about the future on the basis that the chief, or defining, quality of reality's display is its radiance, not its seeming positivity or negativity. But it is simply either so, or not so. So let's see.
There's nothing inherently wrong with seeking out particular experiences and circumstances that align with our own preferences, desires, inclinations, etc. At the same time, as you write so clearly here, ALL that appears is reality's display. And coming to know this more and more brings with it, a sense of great relief and freedom from the belief that our ultimate well (of) being lies in the heart of every moment rather than in things unfolding in a certain way.
Thank you ❤️
Thank you John for this, but mostly for the pure joy of the last few moments, ❤
The essence of this that we cannot say in words is so clearly conveyed in your beautiful expression and received with deepest gratitude. ❤
Beautiful talk, John. ❤
